Colome earned his 13th save of the season Saturday against the Royals, striking out two in a scoreless ninth inning.

Colome entered with a two-run lead in the ninth inning and did his job against the heart of the Royals' order without any issues. The outing brought his ERA down to 2.19, which would be the second-lowest mark of his career. His 27.3 percent strikeout rate would also be his second-best mark.

Peters won't start Saturday's game against Seattle as previously reported but will instead follow opener Noe Ramirez, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

The decision is a marginal boost to Peters' fantasy value for the night, as he'll avoid the toughest part of the Mariners' order at least once and will be eligible for a win even if he doesn't last five innings. Expectations should still be modest for the 26-year-old, who owns a career 5.95 ERA and a 48:37 K:BB in 62 major-league innings.

Peters was called up from Triple-A Salt Lake to start Saturday's game versus the Mariners, Maria Torres of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Peters has made three appearances out of the bullpen for the Angels this season, but Saturday's spot start will be his first of the season. The 26-year-old has eight starts with Salt Lake and has a 4.58 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 39:10 K:BB through 39.1 innings.

Palumbo permitted four runs on six hits over four innings in a no-decision in the first game of a doubleheader against Oakland on Saturday. He struck out four and did not issue a walk.

Making his major-league debut, Palumbo kept the Athletics off the board over the first three innings. However, the 24-year-old ran into trouble in the fourth inning, as Matt Olson belted a two-run homer and Josh Phegley added a two-run double. Palumbo is not current scheduled for his next major-league start.

Honeywell fractured a bone in his elbow while throwing a bullpen session Saturday and will miss the rest of the season, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

This is another tough blow for Honeywell, who appeared ready for prime time late in 2017 before suffering a torn UCL in spring training 2018. He will go under the knife Monday, and during the procedure doctors will check on the integrity of his Tommy John repair. Depending on what's found in the elbow, Honeywell's availability for the start of the 2020 season could be impacted.

Stanek will serve as the opener for the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Red Sox, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The Rays are well-positioned to use an opener for the evening game after the team's bullpen was only tasked with recording four outs in the afternoon contest. Stanek has allowed a run in each of his last two outings but still has a strong 2.88 ERA in 34.1 innings this season.

Yarbrough (5-2) allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits and no walks over 7.2 innings to earn the win over the Red Sox in the first game of a doubleheader Saturday. He struck out seven.

Yarbrough was outstanding, winning his third decision in his last four appearances. The left-hander permitted only an eighth-inning Jackie Bradley Jr. solo homer and three singles and has a 16:4 K:BB in his last four games (25.2 innings). The 27-year-old still has a lackluster 5.31 ERA but a solid 1.09 WHIP. His next start is Thursday at home against the Angels.

Puk (elbow) will start for High-A Stockton on Tuesday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

It will be Puk's first time pitching in a competitive setting since he underwent Tommy John surgery roughly 14 months ago. The lefty will be followed in Tuesday's game by another rehabbing arm in Jesus Luzardo. Manager Bob Melvin recently suggested Puk could work out of the major-league bullpen later in the season. "The guys who had Tommy John, yeah, there's some serious thought to that, to be able to use their innings and not lose them very quickly," Melvin said.

Betances (shoulder) is heading to New York for more tests after experiencing soreness during a recent bullpen session, James Wagner of The New York Times reports.

Manager Aaron Boone originally downplayed the issue, referring to it as "normal soreness," but the team is evidently more worried than it initially let on. Betances' outlook should become clearer once the results of the tests are made public.

Farmer will be the first pitcher on the mound for the Tigers in Saturday's game against the Twins.

Farmer hasn't thrown more than two innings in any appearance thus far this season, so there's little reason to believe he'll be a true starting pitcher on this occasion. He owns an unimpressive 5.01 ERA in 23.1 innings.
