De Leon (elbow) was moved to the 60-day injured list Friday.

De Leon remains without a clear timeline in his recovery from last spring's Tommy John surgery, but this transaction confirms that his return won't come until late May at the earliest. He'll make way on the 40-man roster for Casey Sadler, whose contract was purchased from Triple-A Durham in a corresponding move.

Pagan was optioned to Triple-A Durham on Friday.

Pagan was up for just three days, allowing one run in three innings across two appearances. Casey Sadler was promoted to take his place on the roster.

Beeks surrendered three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out one over three innings Thursday in a no-decision against the Orioles.

Beeks was called upon in the third inning to serve as Tampa Bay's primary pitcher, but he dug a hole for his team by allowing a pair of runs in the third an another in the fourth on a solo blast to left field. Fortunately for Beeks, the Rays would answer with some offense of their own to get him off the hook for the loss. Following Thursday's disappointing outing, the 25-year-old lefty sports a 4.40 ERA with 13 strikeouts over 14.1 innings.

Giles allowed a hit and struck out two batters to earn his sixth save of the season in a 7-4 victory against the Twins on Thursday.

Throwing 11 strikes out of 16 pitches, this is the type of work owners want to see out of Giles. He started the season strongly but had allowed three runs in the last 2.1 innings prior to Thursday. He is 6-for-7 in save opportunities with a 3.00 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and 14 strikeouts in nine innings over 11 appearances this season.

De Leon is scheduled to throw in a game at extended spring training Friday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

De Leon will make a second appearance in Port Charlotte after throwing an inning in an extended spring game with no issues last week. The right-hander is trending in the right direction, though he remains without a concrete return timeline as he works his way back from Tommy John surgery that he underwent last March.

Honeywell will be shut down for at least a few days after experiencing soreness in his surgically repaired elbow, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

He threw an inning in an extended spring training game over the weekend and was scheduled to throw again Thursday, but those plans were nixed due to this setback. Honeywell, who underwent Tommy John surgery in February of 2018, was trending toward a return to game action sometime in late May, but that date can now be pushed back at least a week or two.

Norris will join the Detroit rotation for his first start Saturday against the White Sox, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Norris was appointed to the rotation nearly two weeks ago, after Matt Moore landed on the injured list with a knee injury that ultimately required season-ending surgery. Due to multiple off-days in the Tigers' schedule since that time, the team has been able to get by with a four-man rotation, but there will finally be a need for another starter this weekend. Norris has attempted to stay sharp by working out of the bullpen, with the lefty most recently covering three innings Sunday in Minnesota. He may not be ready to handle a normal starter's workload in his first turn through the rotation, but Norris shouldn't face any restrictions with his pitch count thereafter.

Fulmer was recalled from Triple-A Charlotte on Thursday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

He'll assume the active roster spot of starting pitcher Lucas Giolito (hamstring), who was placed on the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move. Though Giolito's move to the IL opens up a spot in the rotation, Fulmer won't necessarily be asked to fill the void. Fulmer came up through the system as a starter and made 13 turns with the White Sox between 2017 and 2018, but he transitioned to a relief role in spring training and has been used exclusively out of the bullpen in the majors and at Triple-A this season.

Treinen gave up one hit with one walk while striking out one in a scoreless ninth inning to record his sixth save of the season in a 2-1 win over the Astros on Wednesday.

It wasn't the cleanest inning as Treinen allowed the potential tying and go-ahead runners to reach base, but they were stranded as the right-hander nailed down his sixth save of the season. The 30-year-old is walking too many batters with a 5.5 BB/9, but he has only allowed a run in one appearance this season and has a 0.79 ERA.

Brasier was charged with a blown save in Wednesday's loss to the Yankees as he gave up a grand slam. He allowed one earned run on one hit with two strikeouts over two-thirds of an inning.

Brasier entered in a tough spot during the seventh inning with the bases loaded and only one out, but looked to be in decent shape with an 0-2 count on Brett Gardner before giving up the grand slam. The right-hander was unlikely to complete the game Wednesday given how early he came in, but nonetheless gets charged with the blown save. Brasier still has a 2.16 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, 8:2 K:BB and three converted saves over 8.1 innings.
