Collin McHugh RP | ATL
Astros' Collin McHugh: Set to start Monday
McHugh (back) is scheduled to start one of the Astros' split-squad games Monday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
McHugh exited Wednesday's start against the Nationals due to back soreness, but he and manager AJ Hinch downplayed the injury afterward. Hinch reiterated that notion Friday, indicating that he fully anticipates the 31-year-old will take the mound.

Daniel Hudson RP | LAD
Angels' Daniel Hudson: Will pitch Sunday
Hudson (forearm) will start Sunday's spring game against the Athletics, Maria Torres of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Hudson will serve as the opener for the Angels in his second appearance of the spring after finishing the 2018 season on the injured list with right forearm tightness. The veteran right-hander is a non-roster invitee and is looking to secure a spot in the Angels' bullpen.

Ryan Borucki RP | SF
Blue Jays' Ryan Borucki: Roughed up by Phillies
Borucki allowed five runs on four hits and three walks over two innings while striking out one in Thursday's Grapefruit League game against the Phillies.
The left-hander picked a bad time to have a bad outing, as the addition of Clay Buchholz on Thursday gives Borucki some significant competition for the Jays' fifth starter role. Buchholz still needs to prove he can stay healthy, of course, and Borucki has time to win the job outright with better performances, but his fantasy value -- already limited by his lack of strikeouts and a tough pitching environment in the AL East -- looks even shakier than it did the day before.

Ryan Yarbrough RP | NYY
Rays' Ryan Yarbrough: Won't be out long
Yarbrough will only miss a couple of days due to his tight left groin, Rays broadcaster Neil Solondz reports.
The injury forced Yarbrough to end his appearance Thursday against the Twins early, but the move was described as precautionary and the left-hander is considered day-to-day. Manager Kevin Cash confirmed his status Friday, so it seems as though Yarbrough's preparation for the upcoming season shouldn't be significantly affected.

Matt Moore RP | BOS
Tigers' Matt Moore: Improves to 2-0 this spring
Moore grabbed the win in Thursday's Grapefruit League game against the Braves, allowing two runs on three hits in 2.1 innings of work. He didn't walk anyone and struck out three.
Moore has now tossed 4.1 innings this spring across two starts, picking up a win in each outing and striking out four. The lefty endured a disastrous 2018 with Texas, posting a 6.79 ERA and 1.66 WHIP over 102 innings, but without a ton of other great options in Detroit's rotation, Moore could lock himself in if he finds some success early in the season.

Ryan Yarbrough RP | NYY
Rays' Ryan Yarbrough: Leaves with groin tightness
Yarbrough exited Thursday's spring training game against Minnesota due to left groin tightness, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports. He struck out the lone batter he faced.
Yarbrough's removal from the ballgame was precautionary, so there's hope he won't miss much if any time while on the mend. He'll be considered day-to-day moving forward.

Justin Shafer RP | TOR
Blue Jays' Justin Shafer: Available in relief Thursday
Shafer (elbow) is listed among the Blue Jays' available bullpen arms for Thursday's Grapefruit League game versus the Phillies, John Lott of The Athletic reports.
Shafer made his first appearance of the spring in Monday's 3-0 loss to the Yankees, giving up two hits in a scoreless inning of relief. It marked the 26-year-old's first competitive outing since Sept. 14, as the Blue Jays shuttered Shafer for the rest of the season following that appearance while he managed a Grade 1 flexor strain. Shafer entered spring training at full health and will get the chance to compete for a job in the Blue Jays' Opening Day bullpen, but his lack of a 40-man roster spot hurts his chances.

Reynaldo Lopez RP | ATL
White Sox's Reynaldo Lopez: Has bad, good inning in debut
Lopez allowed two runs on five hits while striking out one over two innings against the Reds on Wednesday.
In his first Cactus League start, Lopez gave up four hits to the first five batters faced -- two of them bloop singles -- but avoided serious damage. Eugenio Suarez was thrown out at third base, and Lopez picked off Yasiel Puig at second base. He followed up with a scoreless second inning, allowing one hit and getting three conventional outs. He's projected third in the rotation, but could eventually move up. "Command of the breaking ball for him would be good. His fastball command has been consistent, and he knows how to elevate. The secondary pitches would be the ones to focus on," manager Rick Renteria responded when asked what Lopez needs to do to become a No. 1 or 2 starter. The right-hander was the White Sox's most consistent starter from April to September in 2018, although there were some growing pains. The 25-year-old Lopez finished 7-10 with a 3.91 ERA and walked 75 batters (10th in MLB) over 188.2 innings.
