Jake Diekman RP | ATL
Rangers' Jake Diekman: Nabs second save despite homer
Diekman allowed a run on two hits but still picked up his second save Wednesday against Kansas City.
Diekman gave up a home run right away to Mike Moustakas, but managed to get out of the inning with the help of a caught stealing to end the game. Closer Keone Kela had recorded saves in consecutive games and three of the past four nights heading into Wednesday, and Kela should be expected to slide right back into the closer's role for Texas's next game Friday should the Rangers encounter another save situation.

Fernando Rodney RP | ARI
Twins' Fernando Rodney: Nabs 16th save
Rodney tossed a perfect ninth for his 16th save Wednesday against the Twins.
Rodney tossed 11 pitches in the tidy save, his 13th in a row dating back to April 28. In that span, Rodney owns a 1.53 ERA and 0.91 ERA with 18 strikeouts in 17.2 innings, showing he's still got it even at 41 years old. That said, he has now appeared on consecutive nights and the Twins play an afternoon game Thursday, so there's a good chance he's unavailable even if a save chance pops up in the series finale.

Reynaldo Lopez RP | ATL
White Sox's Reynaldo Lopez: Early exit in Wednesday's loss
Lopez (2-5) took the loss Wednesday as the White Sox were routed 12-0 by Cleveland, giving up five runs (four earned) on six hits and four walks over 4.1 innings while striking out six.
The right-hander's streak of three straight quality starts ended with a thud, as Lopez gave up a three-spot in the first inning -- dooming him to a loss almost immediately with Corey Kluber in peak form opposite him on the mound. Lopez will take a 3.59 ERA into his next outing Tuesday at home against the Twins.

Ryne Stanek RP | STL
Rays' Ryne Stanek: Set to open Friday's game
Stanek is slated to open Friday's "bullpen day" game against the Yankees, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Stanek has been successful in that role his last two times out, firing a combined scoreless 3.2 innings during that pair of appearances. The right-hander is sporting a solid 2.21 ERA and impressive 0.89 WHIP across 20.1 innings this season while being used as both an opener and conventional reliever.

Jonathan Loaisiga RP | ARI
Yankees' Jonathan Loaisiga: Knocked out in fourth
Loaisiga allowed three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out four over 3.2 innings in Wednesday's win over the Mariners. He did not factor into the decision.
It wasn't nearly as sharp an outing as his MLB debut when he fired five scoreless innings, but he was done no favors by reliever Chasen Shreve, who allowed two inherited runners to score to bring the final tally to three earned. The 23-year-old labored in this one, needing 84 pitches (51 strikes) just to get through 3.2 innings. With Masahiro Tanaka (hamstring) still on the shelf, Loaisiga figures to take at least a couple more turns through the rotation. He's lined up to take on the Phillies on Monday next time out.

Lou Trivino RP | PHI
Athletics' Lou Trivino: On five-appearance scoreless streak
Trivino (4-1), who fired two perfect innings in which he recorded two strikeouts in a win over the Padres on Tuesday, has pitched 6.1 scoreless frames over his last five appearances.
The 26-year-old right-hander also sports a 6:0 K:BB over that span while allowing just two hits. Trivino has been called on in a variety of scenarios during that stretch, as evidenced by his two holds, one save and one victory in that sample. Outside of a couple of stumbles, Trivino has proven to be one of manager Bob Melvin's most trusted bullpen assets, as he now boasts a 1.57 ERA and 30 strikeouts over 28.2 innings.

Michael Fulmer RP | NYY
Tigers' Michael Fulmer: Fans nine in Wednesday's loss
Fulmer (3-6) took the loss Wednesday, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks over 5.2 innings while striking out nine as the Tigers fell 5-3 to the Reds.
The right-hander cruised through five scoreless innings and seemed poised for a quality start before Scooter Gennett and Eugenio Suarez hit back-to-back homers with two outs in the sixth, helping to chase Fulmer from the game. He still has a 3.16 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 23:6 K:BB over his last four starts and 25.2 innings, and Fulmer will look to get back in the win column Tuesday at home against the A's.

Ryan Borucki RP | SF
Blue Jays' Ryan Borucki: Tosses three-hit shutout
Borucki tossed seven shutout innings Tuesday in Game 1 of Triple-A Buffalo's doubleheader with Pawtucket. He gave up three hits and one walk and struck out four.
Since doubleheader games in the minors only last seven innings, Borucki technically recorded the first complete game in the International League this season. The 24-year-old lefty rocketed through the Blue Jays' farm system a season ago and has carried over that success from 2017 into the current campaign. He has posted a 3.27 ERA and 1.17 WHIP across 77 innings for Buffalo this season, though a 6.8 K/9 dampens some enthusiasm about his outlook in dynasty formats.

Drew VerHagen RP | STL
Tigers' Drew VerHagen: Lands on DL with fractured nose
The Tigers placed VerHagen (nose) on the 10-day disabled list Wednesday.
VerHagen fractured his nose when he was hit by a relay throw while covering first base during his appearance in Tuesday's loss to the Reds. The Tigers don't have a concrete timetable for VerHagen's return, but the right-hander may be able to remain on a normal throwing program while he waits for his nose to heal. Johnny Barbato was recalled from Triple-A Toledo in a corresponding move.

Blake Treinen RP | LAD
Athletics' Blake Treinen: Records 16th save Tuesday
Treinen struck out the side in a scoreless ninth to earn the save against the Padres on Tuesday.
Treinen came on in the bottom of the 10th inning to preserve a two-run lead and retired the Padres' hitters on 16 pitches (13 strikes) to pick up his 16th save of the year. Treinen is now 16-for-18 in save chances with a fantastic 1.03 ERA and 0.94 WHIP. The right-hander has allowed just one home run in 35 innings, while posting a 43:10 K:BB.
