Brian Johnson RP | BOS
Red Sox's Brian Johnson: Takes hit off head
Johnson left Triple-A Pawtucket's game Saturday after taking a line drive off the head, Mike Monaco of Pawtucket's official site reports. The left-hander was able to leave the field under his own power.
Johnson was having a pretty good night up until that point, having struck out seven over four innings of one-run ball.

Justin Wilson RP | BOS
Tigers' Justin Wilson: Records save Saturday
Wilson pitched a clean ninth inning with two strikeouts to pick up his first save of the season in Saturday's win over the Red Sox.
Regular closer Francisco Rodriguez threw 29 pitches and blew the save Friday, so Wilson was used in his place Saturday. He could snag a few more saves this season on days that Rodriguez needs rest.

Chad Green RP | TOR
Yankees' Chad Green: Behind in competition for No. 5 starter spot
Green seemingly trails Jordan Montgomery in the competition to be the Yankees No. 5 starter, MLB.com's Byran Hoch reports.
Montgomery pitches for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday, while Green will start on the same day for Double-A Trenton. The Yankees are first expected to summon a fifth starter on April 16.

Casey Lawrence RP | SEA
Blue Jays' Casey Lawrence: Brought up by Blue Jays
Lawrence was recalled by the Blue Jays on Saturday, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet reports.
The right-hander was expected to start the season opener for Triple-A Buffalo on Saturday and instead could be on hand for his major league debut. If he does get a chance, it will likely come out of the bullpen since he replaced reliever Dominic Leone. Lawrence has steadily built up a solid starter reputation in Triple-A over six seasons, but it remains to be seen whether that success will transfer to the majors. After Lawrence posted a 3.86 ERA and a 1.41 WHIP over seven Grapefruit League games, Toronto is willing to give him a shot, but it may be a short one with Roberto Osuna (neck) on the mend.

Dominic Leone RP | CHW
Blue Jays' Dominic Leone: Optioned to Triple-A Buffalo
Leone was optioned to Triple-A Buffalo on Saturday, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet reports.
It ends a short-but-productive stay in the majors for the right-hander, who was brought up to fill in for the injured Roberto Osuna (neck). Leone relieved Francisco Liriano in Friday's loss, holding the Rays to one run over 2.2 innings and recording three strikeouts. He'll have a chance to build on his strong performance in the minors, but could certainly be in line for another call-up later this season.

Collin McHugh RP | ATL
Astros' Collin McHugh: Out six weeks with elbow injury
McHugh was diagnosed with a posterior impingement in his right elbow Saturday and will be shut down for six weeks.
McHugh will be re-evaluated at the end of the six-week period, but a clean MRI on Friday has alleviated any concerns of a UCL problem. Regardless, this is devastating news considering the right-hander was actually rehabbing from a shoulder injury when he first felt the discomfort. The Astros can only hope that the solution is non-surgical and that McHugh will be able to return sometime in early June, but they'll have to carry on with Mike Fiers and Joe Musgrove in the rotation for now.

Alex Colome RP | CHW
Rays' Alex Colome: Notches third save Friday
Colome collected his third save in Friday's 10-8 win over the Blue Jays, pitching 1.1 scoreless innings and recording a strikeout.
Colome was called on for the final out in the eighth after the Blue Jays had narrowed the score to 9-8, and he successfully induced an inning-ending groundout from Troy Tulowitzki. The hard-throwing closer then drew the weaker part of the Toronto lineup in the ninth and made quick work of Justin Smoak, Ezequiel Carrera and Jarrod Saltalamacchia to notch his third save in as many opportunities. Colome has yet to allow a run in any of his trio of appearances in 2017.

Matt Andriese RP | MIA
Rays' Matt Andriese: Labors through four innings Friday
Andriese didn't factor into the decision Friday versus the Blue Jays, giving up five runs (four earned) on seven hits and one walk over four innings. He struck out four.
Andriese worked up to a robust 85 pitches and only got 54 of them into the strike zone. While he did notch nine swinging strikes, he fell behind against eight of the 21 hitters he faced and was victimized by Troy Tulowitzki, who tagged him for a two-run double in the first and solo home run in the fourth. Andriese will look to bounce back when he takes on the Yankees on the road next Thursday.

Matt Barnes RP | WAS
Red Sox's Matt Barnes: Will return Sunday
Barnes (bereavement) will return to the Red Sox ahead of Sunday's game against the Tigers, Brian MacPherson of The Providence Journal reports.
Manager John Farrell indicated that Barnes will be the primary eighth-inning pitcher upon his return, so the right-hander will take on heavy duty right away. The Red Sox blew a 5-4 lead in the eighth Friday, as Heath Hembree, Robby Scott and Joe Kelly failed to shut down the potent Detroit lineup. Barnes impressed in Grapefruit League play, posting a 0.93 ERA over 9.2 innings, and now gets a shot to translate that success to the big stage as the new setup man.

Joe Kelly RP | LAD
Red Sox's Joe Kelly: Dealing with flu symptoms
Kelly is dealing with flu-like symptoms and won't be available for Saturday's game against the Tigers, Brian MacPherson of The Providence Journal reports.
Kelly is the latest victim of a flu bug that's been going around the Red Sox clubhouse as Mookie Betts, Hanley Ramirez and Robbie Ross have already missed time due to illness. The right-handed reliever has thrown 2.1 innings of shutout baseball to begin the season, earning the win Wednesday against Pittsburgh. Consider him day-to-day going forward.
