Since joining the big-league bullpen June 11, Bazardo has posted a 7.20 ERA and 1.10 WHIP alongside a 15:4 K:BB over 10 innings. He'll now be sent back to the minors in order to make room for Bryan Woo (hamstring), who was reinstated from the IL in a corresponding move.

  • Bryan Mata RP | BOS

Red Sox's Bryan Mata: Set for one more rehab outing

Mata (shoulder) is scheduled to throw 2-3 innings for Triple-A Worcester on Sunday, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports. A decision on his activation will occur afterward.

Mata was pulled off his rehab assignment in late May for roughly three weeks, but he's appeared in six minor-league games since without any setbacks. Sunday's appearance could be Mata's final one, in which case the 25-year-old would join the Red Sox roster after the All-Star break.

  • Red Sox's Cam Booser: Back with Boston

The Red Sox recalled Booser from Triple-A Worcester on Friday, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.

After being optioned Monday, Booser will rejoin the MLB bullpen Friday to fill in for Justin Slaten (elbow). Booser owns a 3.00 ERA across 30 innings with the Red Sox this season.

  • Justin Slaten RP | BOS

Red Sox's Justin Slaten: Headed to IL

Slaten has logged a 3.38 ERA across 42.2 innings with the Red Sox this season and will be shelved for at least two weeks to manage inflammation in his throwing elbow. Cam Booser was recalled from Triple-A Worcester in a corresponding move.

  • Jose Quijada RP | LAA

Angels' Jose Quijada: Takes rehab to Triple-A

Quijada (elbow) had his minor-league rehab assignment moved from the Arizona Complex League to Triple-A Salt Lake on Wednesday, per MLB.com.

Quijada logged five outings while with the organization's ACL club, allowing two runs on four hits while notching an 11:0 K:BB over 4.2 innings. • Angels' Kenny Rosenberg: Covers six frames in season debut

Rosenberg pitched in long relief against Seattle on Thursday, allowing six runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out four batters over six innings.

Jack Kochanowicz was given the start in his MLB debut but lasted just three innings, giving up five runs (four earned). Rosenberg entered in the fourth and took on what amounted to a full starting workload, tossing 95 pitches (55 strikes). It was the southpaw's first big-league outing of the season, but he was ready to handle the hefty workload since he was a starter in all 14 of his appearances with Triple-A Salt Lake. Given his usage Thursday, it wouldn't be surprising if Rosenberg is sent back to the minors in short order, since he likely won't be available to take the mound again until after the All-Star break.
