The Angels recalled Silseth from Triple-A Salt Lake on Sunday.

Though he's made most of his appearances in the big leagues the past three seasons as a starter, Silseth transitioned to a full-time relief role at Triple-A in late July after returning from a stint on the 7-day injured list. He's thrived out of the bullpen for Salt Lake, tossing 8.2 scoreless frames while striking out 13 over his last nine appearances. The right-hander will likely be deployed by the Angels in lower-leverage spots initially but could work his way up the bullpen depth chart quickly if he excels early on with the big club.

The Blue Jays recalled Schultz from Triple-A Buffalo on Sunday.

The 27-year-old righty has produced a 4.56 ERA and 1.44 WHIP over 23.2 innings in 12 appearances (two starts) with Toronto this season. He'll provide the Blue Jays with a multi-inning bullpen option heading into Sunday's game against the Marlins.

The Blue Jays optioned Fluharty to Triple-A Buffalo on Sunday.

Fluharty pitched the previous two days, so the Blue Jays will send him to Buffalo in favor of a fresh bullpen arm in Paxton Schultz. Over 51 appearances with the big club this season, Fluharty has netted a 4.94 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 48:24 K:BB in 47.1 innings while collecting four wins, four holds and one save.

The Astros recalled Rooney from Triple-A Sugar Land on Sunday.

Houston optioned AJ Blubaugh to Triple-A to make room for a fresh bullpen arm. Acquired from the Marlins on Aug. 3, Rooney will be joining the big club for the second time this month after failing to make his MLB debut during his initial stint with Houston.

Seymour is slated to start Monday's game against the Guardians in Cleveland, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

At least for one turn through the rotation, Seymour will take over the starting role that was vacated by Joe Boyle, who was optioned to Triple-A Durham on Friday. Since being called up from Triple-A on July 31, Seymour has made five relief appearances, but he covered 3.1 innings Aug. 15 in San Francisco and three frames in his most recent appearance Tuesday against the Yankees, so he should be reasonably stretched out ahead of his first MLB start. The 26-year-old lefty had previously been serving as a full-time member of the rotation at Durham, producing a 2.62 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 104:20 K:BB in 86 innings.

The Twins designated Ramirez for assignment Sunday.

Since Ramirez doesn't have minor-league options, the Twins had to move him off the 40-man roster to make room for right-hander Taj Bradley, who was called up from Triple-A St. Paul to start Sunday's game against the White Sox. After being summoned to the majors Aug. 1, Ramirez made nine relief appearances and submitted a 2.45 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 5:2 K:BB in 11 innings. He could attract interest via waivers from teams looking to add another multi-inning option to the bullpen.

Holton tossed 1.1 scoreless innings of relief to earn a hold in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Royals. He allowed a hit and struck out one.

Following five innings from starter Chris Paddack and another 1.1 innings from Troy Melton, Holton came on as the bridge to closer Will Vest, with Kyle Finnegan likely unavailable after logging two innings the day before. Holton continued his steady play for the Tigers and recorded his 14th hold of the season, which leads the team. He's not in the mix for saves with Vest and Finnegan around, but the lefty has fantasy appeal in leagues that count holds, and he's also chipped in five wins out of the bullpen for good measure.

Bazardo threw a scoreless eighth inning Saturday against the Athletics, allowing no hits and one walk with no strikeouts.

That's now seven consecutive scoreless appearances for Bazardo, who's given up just three runs over his past 16 outings. The right-hander has been very effective out of Seattle's bullpen since the start of June, turning in a 1.73 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 38:14 K:BB across his last 36.1 innings.

Leasure struck out two and walked one across a scoreless inning of work Saturday against the Twins.

Leasure has two of the White Sox's last three saves, but he handled the eighth inning in a recent appearance Monday, with Grant Taylor taking the ninth. Taylor didn't pitch Saturday, but Leasure effectively handled the ninth frame with a four-run lead. Regardless of the exact split moving forward, saves aren't likely to be plentiful for Leasure. He has worked nine innings thus far in August, allowing only two earned runs while maintaining a 16:2 K:BB.

Harris walked one but didn't allow a hit or a run over two-thirds of an inning to earn the save in Saturday's 2-1 extra-inning win over the Mariners.

Harris' walk loaded the bases with two outs, but he got Randy Arozarena to ground out, ending the threat and preserving the Athletics' lead. This was Harris' second save of the week, and he's on an eight-inning scoreless streak since he was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas on Aug. 9. On the year, he's had mixed results with a 3.65 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 52:27 K:BB over 49.1 innings across 36 relief appearances. He's added two saves and a hold, as he appears to be in the mix for saves following the deadline departure of Mason Miller.
