Caleb Ferguson RP | CIN
Dodgers' Caleb Ferguson: Collapses in ninth
Ferguson (3-1) took a blown save and a loss Tuesday against the Reds, allowing three runs on one hit and three walks while getting through just a third of an inning.
Ferguson was called upon to protect a two-run lead in the ninth after Brusdar Graterol and Evan Phillips worked the seventh and eighth innings, respectively. Ferguson quickly got himself into some major trouble, allowing a single, walking three and hitting a batter before being replaced by Shelby Miller with the game tied up. Miller tossed two pitches and the Reds walked it off with a hit from Matt McLain. Ferguson has now given up six runs over his last three innings pitched. Prior to May 27, he had given up just two runs all year over 18.1 innings. He is still the team's top left-handed pitching option but may have lost his chance at a ninth-inning role for the near future.

Raisel Iglesias RP | ATL
Braves' Raisel Iglesias: Notches eighth save
Iglesias struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Tuesday to record his eighth save of the season in a 6-4 win over the Mets.
The right-hander has gone 10 straight appearances without allowing an earned run, but Iglesias' 8:5 K:BB through 9.1 innings over that stretch highlights his lack of dominance since making his belated season debut in early May. His 2.84 ERA and 1.11 WHIP are solid, but he's lost two mph on his four-seam fastball over the last couple years, seeing it decline from 96.3 mph in 2021 to 94.3 mph in 2023.

Dinelson Lamet RP | LAD
Rockies' Dinelson Lamet: Takes third loss
Lamet (1-3) allowed three runs on six hits and two walks with four strikeouts over three innings, taking the loss versus the Giants on Tuesday.
Lamet again failed to pitch very deep into the game, and it was a laborious effort that saw him throw just 46 of 83 pitches for strikes. He's lost both of his starts this season, allowing eight runs over six innings, but the Rockies are lacking for better options in the rotation at this time. Over 14 appearances this season, he's logged an awful 12.42 ERA with a 2.46 WHIP and 21:14 K:BB through 16.2 innings. If Lamet gets another start, it would likely be over the weekend at home versus his former team, the Padres.

Ryan Walker RP | SF
Giants' Ryan Walker: Snags second win
Walker (2-0) struck out two in a perfect inning to earn the win Tuesday over the Rockies.
Walker pitched the second inning ahead of Sean Manaea's bulk-relief outing after John Brebbia opened the game. This was Walker's sixth scoreless appearance in seven outings, and he's allowed zero baserunners four times. The right-hander has a 1.04 ERA, 0.81 WHIP and 10:1 K:BB through his first 8.2 big-league innings. The Giants currently have a rather crowded bullpen while only three starters are healthy, but Walker's pitching well enough to keep his low-leverage spot for a while.

Sean Manaea RP | NYM
Giants' Sean Manaea: Fades late as bulk reliever
Manaea allowed four runs on five hits and a walk while striking out five over 4.2 innings Tuesday versus the Rockies. He did not factor in the decision but picked up a hold.
Manaea started to get into some trouble in the seventh inning, but the Giants had built up enough of a lead to cruise to the win. Over his previous four appearances, he'd yielded just two runs (one earned) across 10.2 innings, but this was a modestly successful outing in Colorado for the struggling southpaw. He's at a 6.10 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 52:20 K:BB through 41.1 innings over 13 appearances (six starts) this season. Manaea's likely to continue in this bulk-relief role for his next projected appearance over the weekend versus the Cubs.

Craig Kimbrel RP | NYM
Phillies' Craig Kimbrel: Grabs ninth save
Kimbrel picked up the save in Tuesday's 1-0 win over Detroit, striking out three in a perfect ninth inning.
Kimbrel improved to 9-for-9 in save chances, striking out the side to close out Philadelphia's shutout win. The 35-year-old Kimbrel has been excellent of late, allowing just two runs over his last 11 innings while striking out 19 in that span. After a few rough outings early in the year, his ERA is down to 5.09 with a 1.13 WHIP and 36:11 K:BB over 23 innings.

Robert Suarez RP | ATL
Padres' Robert Suarez: Set for full bullpen session
Suarez (elbow) is scheduled to throw a full bullpen session Friday, Dennis Lin of The Athletic reports.
Suarez has already thrown off the mound a couple of times, but the catcher was positioned in front of the plate during those workouts. He's now ready to take things to the next level in his ongoing recovery from lingering stiffness and inflammation in his right elbow. Re-signed to a five-year, $46 million contract this offseason, the 32-year-old setup man could finally be a contributor for the Padres around the end of June.

Brad Boxberger RP | CHC
Cubs' Brad Boxberger: To throw bullpen Wednesday
Boxberger (forearm) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Wednesday, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Boxberger has been cleared to begin throwing off a mound as he works his way back from a mid-May diagnosis of a right forearm strain. He could be ready to return to the Cubs' bullpen around mid-to-late June if all goes well from this point forward.
