  • Padres' Adrian Morejon: Activated, optioned to Triple-A

San Diego activated Morejon (elbow) from the 60-day injured list Tuesday and optioned him to Triple-A El Paso.

Morejon is recovered from the elbow sprain he suffered back in mid-March, but the Padres will keep him on the farm for now. He allowed four earned runs over 4.2 innings (four appearances) during a recent rehab stint at Low-A Lake Elsinore.

  • Dylan Lee RP | ATL

Braves' Dylan Lee: Doing flat-ground throwing

Atlanta manager Brian Snitker said Tuesday that Lee (shoulder) is still limited to flat-ground throwing, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Lee was placed on the injured list in mid-May because of inflammation in his left shoulder and he's not yet ready to take the next step forward in his throwing progression. There won't be a clear timeline for his return to the major-league roster until he begins doing some mound work.

  • Tanner Rainey RP | DET

Nationals' Tanner Rainey: Throwing off mound

Rainey (elbow) threw 10 pitches off a mound Tuesday, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.

Rainey continues to make steady progress in his recovery from Tommy John surgery last August. The current hope is that he might be able to return to the Nationals' bullpen toward the end of the 2023 regular season.

  • Victor Arano RP | WAS

Nationals' Victor Arano: Needs shoulder surgery

Arano will undergo right shoulder surgery later this month, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.

Arano has been on the injured list all season due to a lingering shoulder injury that is now going to require a surgical repair. Even if it's a relatively minor procedure, the 28-year-old seems doubtful to pitch at the MLB level in 2023. He posted a 4.50 ERA in 42 innings of relief with the Nationals in 2022.

  • Nick Robertson RP | LAD

Dodgers' Nick Robertson: Called up from Triple-A

The Dodgers selected Robertson's contract from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Robertson has earned his first MLB call-up after working to a 2.13 ERA and 37:7 K:BB through 25.1 innings this season out of the OKC bullpen. The 24-year-old right-hander figures to operate in middle relief for Los Angeles.

  • Tayler Scott RP | ATL

Dodgers' Tayler Scott: Optioned back to Triple-A

The Dodgers optioned Scott to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Nick Robertson will join the Dodgers' bullpen in a corresponding roster move. Scott has made only one appearance this season at the major-league level.

  • George Soriano RP | STL

Marlins' George Soriano: Optioned to Jacksonville

The Marlins optioned Soriano to Triple-A Jacksonville on Tuesday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Just four days after being promoted, Soriano will return to Triple-A. The 24-year-old reliever made one appearance in his latest stint -- a three-inning, 61-pitch performance in which he gave up one run on four hits and two walks while striking out three. A.J. Puk (elbow) will return from the injured list as Soriano's replacement.

  • A.J. Puk RP | ARI

Marlins' A.J. Puk: Activated from injured list

Miami activated Puk (elbow) from the 15-day injured list Tuesday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Puk will return to the Marlins' bullpen Tuesday night against the Royals after missing a little over three weeks due to a mid-May diagnosis of left elbow nerve irritation. He had been operating as Miami's primary closer prior to the IL stint and should eventually recapture a share of that role, though Dylan Floro probably remains worthy of rostering in most fantasy leagues as the situation unfolds.

  • J.B. Bukauskas RP | MIL

Brewers' J.B. Bukauskas: Rehabbing at Triple-A

Bukauskas (neck) began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Bukauskas has been on the injured list since May 20 with a cervical strain. It's unclear how long the team plans on keeping Bukauskas on assignment, but considering how beat up the Brewers' pitching staff already is, it could be a quick minor-league stint for the 26-year-old reliever.

  • Andres Machado RP | WAS

    Nationals' Andres Machado: Officially DFA'd

The Nationals designated Machado for assignment Tuesday, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.

Machado was expected to lose his spot on the Nats' 40-man roster, and the promotion of Jordan Weems on Tuesday will officially force Machado off the team. The 30-year-old reliever hasn't found much success in the majors this season with an 8.47 ERA and 1.76 WHIP. However, he's performed much better at the Triple-A level, which gives him a good chance at latching on with another organization.
