Ryan Helsley RP | BAL
Cardinals' Ryan Helsley: Snares win Saturday
Helsley (2-2) allowed two runs on three hits and struck out two over one inning, earning the win Saturday over the Dodgers.
Helsley also hit a batter in the eighth inning, but he was able to work around that. He ran into trouble in the ninth, but Giovanny Gallegos was able to close out the contest. Helsley's no stranger to getting more than three outs in an appearance, so it wasn't a surprise to see him begin the ninth. His scoreless streak came to an end at 8.1 innings, and he now has a 3.38 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 24:6 K:BB through 18.2 innings on the year. He's converted five of his eight save chances and added two holds.

Giovanny Gallegos RP | LAD
Cardinals' Giovanny Gallegos: Records save Saturday
Gallegos earned a save against the Dodgers on Saturday, striking out one batter in a perfect ninth inning.
Interestingly, Ryan Helsley, who leads St. Louis with five saves, was summoned in the eighth inning of a tie game. He finished one scoreless frame before putting three straight batters on to begin the ninth, leading to Gallegos' entrance. The latter righted the ship for the Cardinals, allowing a sacrifice fly but nothing more to close out the win. Though Helsley has pitched well and likely remains atop the pecking order, it's worth noting that Gallegos has now logged three of St. Louis' past four saves.

Jesse Chavez RP | ATL
Braves' Jesse Chavez: Functions well as opener
Chavez allowed a hit and a walk while striking out three over 2.1 scoreless innings Saturday versus Seattle. He did not factor in the decision.
Chavez was effective as the opener Saturday, and he recorded the most outs of any Atlanta pitcher while throwing 26 of 42 pitches for strikes. The veteran right-hander has seen some high-leverage work this season with a save and eight holds in 22 appearances. He's maintained a 2.21 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 25:6 K:BB through 20.1 innings this season, and he's allowed just two runs (one earned) over 10 innings in May.

Miguel Castro RP | CHW
Diamondbacks' Miguel Castro: Fans three in fourth save
Castro picked up the save Saturday against the Pirates. He allowed one walk while striking out three over one scoreless inning.
Castro set a season high in strikeouts Saturday, sending Ji Hwan Bae, Connor Joe and Jason Delay back to the dugout after walking Rodolfo Castro to open up the ninth inning. After starting out the season firmly behind Andrew Chafin as the Diamondbacks' primary closer, Castro has received back-to-back save opportunities and converted each of them without allowing a single hit or run. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on the Diamondbacks' use of Chafin and Castro moving forward, in case one of the two begins to pull away with the closing job.

Ryan Weathers SP | NYY
Padres' Ryan Weathers: Starting Wednesday against Nats
Weathers will start Wednesday's game against Washington, Jeff Sanders of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Weathers will make his return to the rotation after being recalled from Triple-A by the Padres on Thursday. He'll get the ball Wednesday after Yu Darvish starts the series opener against the Nats on Tuesday.

Adrian Morejon RP | SD
Padres' Adrian Morejon: Beginning rehab assignment Tuesday
Morejon (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment with Low-A Lake Elsinore on Tuesday, Jeff Sanders of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Morejon is expected to work in two-to-three inning stints as he works his way back from the elbow inflammation that has sidelined him for all of 2023. The left-hander is eligible to come off the 60-day injured list May 31, and the Padres could either stretch the left-hander out as a starter or use him as a multi-inning reliever around the start of June.

Derek Law RP | ARI
Reds' Derek Law: Resting for 10 days
Law has been diagnosed with a mild flexor mass strain and will rest for 10 days, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Elbow injuries are always a significant worry for any pitcher, but Law's seemingly could have been much worse. He'll still have to build back up after his rest period, however, so his absence will presumably extend beyond the minimum 15 days.

Wander Suero RP | ATH
Dodgers' Wander Suero: Recalled from Triple-A
Suero was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Saturday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
Suero will take the roster spot of Julio Urias, with Urias hitting the 15-day injured list due to a left hamstring strain. It's likely Suero will be sent down whenever the Dodgers call up a starter to replace Urias in the rotation.

Hobie Harris RP | BOS
Nationals' Hobie Harris: Sent to minors
Harris was optioned to Triple-A Rochester on Saturday, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.
Harris, who turns 30 in June, made a big-league roster for the first time when he cracked the Nationals' Opening Day roster, but he hasn't impressed during his time with the team. In 18.1 innings, he's struck out nine batters and walked 12 while struggling to a 5.40 ERA and 1.80 WHIP. Chad Kuhl (foot) was activated from the injured list in a corresponding move.

Erich Uelmen RP | PHI
Phillies' Erich Uelmen: Sent back to Triple-A
Uelmen was optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Saturday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.
Uelmen joined the big-league roster Tuesday but spent less than a week with the team, exiting after making just one appearance. That outing didn't go well, as he allowed four runs (one earned) on two hits and two walks while striking out one in an inning of work against the Cubs on Saturday. Yunior Marte was recalled to take his place in the bullpen.
