  • Tyler Kinley RP | ATL

Rockies' Tyler Kinley: Activated from 60-day IL

Colorado activated Kinley (elbow) from the 60-day injured list Tuesday.

Finally recovered from his June 2022 flexor tendon surgery, Kinley will join the Rockies bullpen ahead of Tuesday's game against the Padres. He got hammered in his first minor-league rehab appearance back in early July but rallied for a 3.68 ERA and 9:1 K:BB over his next seven outings covering 7.1 innings. Prior to going under the knife last season, Kinley was a valuable setup man for Colorado, compiling a 0.75 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 27:6 K:BB in 24 innings.

  • Phil Bickford RP | DET

Mets' Phil Bickford: Dealt over to Mets

The Mets acquired Bickford and Adam Kolarek from the Dodgers on Tuesday in exchange for cash considerations, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports.

Los Angeles designated Bickford for assignment over the weekend, but the 28-year-old righty appears set to get another look in the majors with the Mets. Bickford has posted a 5.14 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 48:26 K:BB through 42 innings of relief this season at the major-league level.

  • Scott Barlow RP | ATH

Padres' Scott Barlow: Traded to San Diego

The Padres acquired Barlow from the Royals on Tuesday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.comreports.

Barlow has 13 saves this season to go along with an ugly 5.35 ERA, but Kansas City was still able to cash in at the trade deadline. The right-hander pitched to a 2.18 ERA last season and could fill a setup role for closer Josh Hader if he can rediscover that form with the Friars.

  • Ryan Yarbrough RP | NYY

Dodgers' Ryan Yarbrough: Dealt to Dodgers

The Dodgers acquired Yarbrough from the Royals on Tuesday in exchange for minor-league infielders Devin Mann and Derlin Figueroa, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports.

Yarbrough, 31, has a 4.24 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 29 strikeouts in 51 innings this season while working as both a starter and a bulk reliever. He will likely occupy a long-relief role while making the occasional spot start for the Dodgers, who have been relying on youngsters Bobby Miller, Emmet Sheehan and Michael Grove to round out the back end of the rotation but may be keen on managing their innings down the stretch.

  • Adam Kolarek RP | LAA

Mets' Adam Kolarek: Acquired by Mets

The Mets acquired Kolarek and Phil Bickford from the Dodgers on Tuesday in exchange for cash considerations, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports.

Kolarek was pushed off the 40-man roster in Los Angeles back in June, but he could at least help cover some relief innings for the Mets down the stretch as they wave the white flag on the 2023 campaign. The 34-year-old left-hander holds a career 3.73 ERA and 96:42 K:BB in 144.2 major-league frames.

  • Ryan Weathers SP | NYY

Marlins' Ryan Weathers: Traded to Miami

The Marlins acquired Weathers from the Padres on Tuesday in exchange for Garrett Cooper and Sean Reynolds, Craig Mish of the Miami Herald reports.

The seventh overall selection in the 2018 MLB Draft, Weathers never quite met the hype with San Diego. He'll get a change of scenery, though, and could prove to be a useful swingman for the Marlins down the stretch as some of their young pitchers are faced with workload limits. The 23-year-old lefty had registered a 6.25 ERA and 29:17 K:BB through 44.2 innings (10 starts, two relief appearances) this season with the Friars.

  • Drew Rom RP | ATH

Cardinals' Drew Rom: Part of package for Flaherty

The Cardinals acquired Rom, infielder Cesar Prieto and right-hander Zack Showalter from the Orioles on Tuesday in exchange for right-hander Jack Flaherty.

Rom, a 6-foot-2 southpaw, has been back at Triple-A this season after starting seven games there to close the 2022 campaign. He has a 5.34 ERA, 1.70 WHIP and 100 strikeouts in 86 innings through 19 appearances with the Orioles' top affiliate in Norfolk. Rom lacks high-end velocity, and opposing batters have hit .290 against him this season.

  • Daniel Duarte RP | NYM

Reds' Daniel Duarte: Optioned to Louisville

Duarte was optioned to Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Sam Moll, acquired from the Athletics on Monday, will take over the vacant bullpen spot. Duarte, 26, has pitched to a 4.30 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 11:10 K:BB in 14.2 innings of relief this season at the major-league level.

  • Diamondbacks' Peter Strzelecki: Dealt to Arizona

Strzelecki was traded from the Brewers to the Diamondbacks on Tuesday in exchange for Andrew Chafin, John Gamdaboro of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM Phoenix reports.

Strzelecki has a 3.69 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 77 strikeouts in 70.2 career MLB innings, but he has split time between the majors and Triple-A each of the last two seasons. Strzelecki will be optioned to Triple-A Reno, per Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com, but he could come back to work in the middle innings for Arizona later this season.

  • Andrew Chafin RP | CIN

Brewers' Andrew Chafin: Sent north to Milwaukee

The Brewers acquired Chafin from the Diamondbacks on Tuesday in exchange for Peter Strzelecki, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.

Chafin spent time in the closer role for Arizona earlier this year, accumulating eight saves, and he's more than just a situational lefty. In fact, Chafin has held opposing right-handed hitters to a .185/.267/.370 line so far this season. The 33-year-old will pitch important innings for Milwaukee down the stretch as the club looks to overtake the Reds in the NL Central.
