Robertson pitched a scoreless ninth inning and earned the save Friday night during Game 1 of the World Series, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out two in the 6-5 win over the Astros.

Robertson received his first save opportunity of the postseason, and he nearly allowed the Astros to steal the win. After striking out leadoff man Yordan Alvarez, Robertson found himself with the tying run at third and the winning run at second. After three straight balls to Aledmys Diaz, the 37-year-old was able to work back and force a groundout to secure the 1-0 series lead. This was Robertson's 21st save of the season in his 29th opportunity. Despite some shakinesses in the postseason, Robertson has allowed just one run in 4.2 innings and remains a solid option out of the Philadelphia bullpen.

Nelson was added to Philadelphia's roster for the World Series on Friday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Nelson was on the roster for the NLDS but didn't make an appearance against Atlanta. The 26-year-old is likely to work in a low-leverage spot if utilized out of the bullpen.

Mejia agreed to a minor-league contract with the Brewers on Thursday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

The right-hander was acquired by Milwaukee last November, but he appeared in only two big-league games and missed half the season due to an 80-game suspension. Mejia pitched in 24 contests for Triple-A Nashville and posted a 2.76 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 33:13 K:BB across 29.1 innings, and he'll likely begin 2023 with the affiliate.

Erceg signed a minor-league deal with the Brewers on Tuesday that includes an invitation to major-league camp for spring training, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Erceg was used exclusively as a reliever in the minors last season after beginning his professional career as an infielder. He spent most of his time at Triple-A Nashville in 2022, posting a 3.43 ERA and 1.45 WHIP over 39.1 innings out of the bullpen. Considering the struggles that Milwaukee's bullpen dealt with down the stretch in 2022, Erceg could get the chance to earn a spot on the Brewers' 40-man roster by the end of camp.

Dominguez pitched the final two innings and earned the save during Friday's 4-2 win over the Padres in Game 3 of the NLCS, allowing zero hits and one walk while striking out three.

Dominguez stepped up once again in the postseason, delivering his fifth straight scoreless outing across 6.2 masterful innings. Of the 22 batters he has faced so far in the postseason, Dominguez has struck out 13 and walked none while allowing just two hits. After recording a solid 10.8 K/9 over 51 innings in the regular season, the 27-year-old has recorded an astonishing 18.9 K/9 in the postseason. The Phillies have had many different relievers step into the closing role in 2022, but Dominguez is making his case as a capable closer moving forward.

Farmer finished the 2022 season with a 3.83 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, five holds and two saves over 47 innings, but he had a 2.83 ERA over 35 innings following his second call-up July 9, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Farmer will be eligible for his third season of arbitration this offseason, which means that the Reds -- who are in austerity mode -- have to decide whether to tender him a contract. Typically a team in that position will opt to go cheap in the bullpen. He projects to make somewhere between $1.4-$1.85 million should he get tendered a contract.

Hader struck out the side in the ninth and earned the save during Game 2 of the NLCS, allowing zero hits and zero walks in the 8-5 win over the Phillies.

Hader continued his dominant 2022 postseason in Game 2, needing just 13 pitches to strike out the three Phillies he faced in the ninth and secure the victory. The southpaw earned his fourth postseason save, and he has now tallied 7.1 scoreless innings and allowed only one hit while striking out 10 since the playoffs began. After an outlier regular season where Hader struggled to a career-high 5.22 ERA, the 28-year-old is turning things around in the most important games of the season. Since the beginning of September, Hader has allowed only one earned run over 15.2 innings while striking out 20.

Robertson (calf) recorded two outs during Wednesday's 8-5 loss to the Padres in Game 2 of the NLCS, allowing one run on three hits and zero walks.

Robertson made his first appearance since Game 1 of the wild-card round, when he'd suffered a calf injury. The 37-year-old righty showed signs of rust, as he surrendered a long home run to Manny Machado to lead off the seventh and was only able to record two outs before being pulled by manager Rob Thomson. On a more positive note, Robertson has largely gotten a handle on the control issues that plagued him over the final 11.2 innings in the regular season, when he issued 11 walks -- he's yet to hand out a free pass to any of the eight batters he's faced thus far this postseason.

Alvarado earned the save against the Padres on Tuesday, allowing zero hits and one walk in a scoreless inning during the 2-0 victory.

After getting the first out of the ninth, Alvarado found himself in trouble following a walk and an error, but he managed to shut down Manny Machado and Josh Bell to win Game 1 for the Phillies. The 27-year-old amassed only two saves in the regular season while being used mainly as a middle-relief pitcher, but he was called on in the ninth Tuesday night and got the job done. The closer role has been a revolving door for the Phillies in recent games, so look to see if Alvarado continues as a closer in the NLCS or if he reverts back to a middle-relief role.

Nelson was not included on the Phillies' NLCS roster Tuesday.

Nelson joined the roster for the NLDS with David Robertson out with a strained calf, but he didn't get the chance to pitch in any of the four games. Robertson is good to go for the NLCS, so Nelson is no longer needed.
