Jackson was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett on Saturday.

Jackson joined Atlanta's bullpen last weekend and allowed a hit and no walks while striking out one in 1.1 innings over two appearances in the big leagues. However, he'll head back to the minors after Bryce Elder was called up to start Saturday's game against the Marlins.

Diaz (5-2) earned the win Friday against the Rockies. He allowed a hit and struck out one in a scoreless inning.

Diaz was called upon in the ninth inning of a tied game and pitched well for the Reds, keeping the Rockies off the board. He picked up the win after Jonathan India hit a walkoff RBI single. Diaz seems to be the current favorite late-game option for the Reds. He is one save behind Hunter Strickland for the team lead, but Strickland's last save was Aug. 1 and Diaz has picked up three since then. Diaz also has an impressive 1.72 ERA and and 0.96 WHIP.

Beede (1-5) took the loss against Toronto on Friday's, allowing two runs on five hits while striking out one and walking one over three innings.

Beede entered the contest in the fourth inning after opener Johan Oviedo left the game tied 0-0. Beede ended up tossing 26 of 47 pitches for strikes across three frames, but allowed two runs to score on a Santiago Espinal double. This was Beede's fourth straight loss. During that span, his ERA has gradually increased from 3.72 to where it now sits at 4.94.

Nelson (2-0) allowed three walks and struck out one over a third of an inning to pick up the win over Milwaukee on Friday.

Nelson couldn't find the plate, managing just six strikes among his 20 pitches, but he was the pitcher of record when Arizona took the lead. He entered a scoreless game with two outs and a runner on after 4.2 innings from starter Kyle Davies and walked three consecutive batters, allowing a run charged to the starter. This was Nelson's first game back from the injured list, so some leeway should be given. The left-hander has pitched well out of the Diamondbacks' bullpen (1.56 ERA) and had surrendered just eight walks over 34.1 innings (2.1 BB/9) prior to Friday's results.

Reed was designated for assignment by the Dodgers on Friday.

Reed was called up by the Dodgers on Tuesday and recorded his first career save during Tuesday's win over the Mets. However, he's posted a 7.36 ERA in 11 innings over 10 relief appearances between the Dodgers and Mets this season and will lose his spot on the 40-man roster after Blake Treinen (shoulder) was reinstated from the 60-day injured list.

Treinen (shoulder) was reinstated from the 60-day injured list Friday.

Treinen spent the last few weeks in the minors on a rehab assignment and posted a 4.50 ERA and 1.50 WHIP in six innings over seven relief appearances with Triple-A Oklahoma City. The right-hander was targeting a Sept. 2 return, and he was able to meet that timetable following his lengthy rehab process. Treinen will likely serve as a setup man for the Dodgers down the stretch, but it's possible that the team chooses to ease him back into action with a few lower-leverage outings.

Bender (elbow) will begin his rehab process with Single-A Jupiter in a week, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

After undergoing Tommy John surgery Tuesday, Bender is scheduled to begin the rehab process next week in the minors. Of course, Tommy John surgery typically takes a long time to return from, so it might take Bender an entire season before he's able to pitch in the big leagues again.

Hudson will be available out of the bullpen, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Hudson is the odd man out in the rotation with Jack Flaherty set to return from a shoulder injury Monday. Hudson owns a 4.43 ERA on the season, striking out just 13.5 percent of opposing batters while walking 10.5 percent, so he's unlikely to pitch many high-leverage innings.

Castano (concussion) recently underwent an MRI that revealed a small labrum tear in his shoulder, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Castano has been sidelined with a concussion for over a month, but he resumed mound work in late August. However, his recovery will be delayed due to this shoulder injury. The lefty is expected to rehab the issue rather than undergoing surgery, but it's unlikely Castano will be able to rejoin the Marlins prior to the end of the season.

Brigham was recalled from Triple-A Jacksonville on Friday.

Brigham spent just under three weeks in the minors but will rejoin the Marlins' bullpen after active rosters expanded to 28 players. The right-hander has posted a 3.72 ERA and 1.34 WHIP in 9.2 innings over five relief appearances for Miami this year and will likely serve mainly in a low-leverage role.
