Jansen saved Tuesday's 3-0 win over the Brewers, striking out two in a 1-2-3 ninth inning.

Jansen was called upon to pitch the ninth inning of a three-run game and nailed down the win for his first save since May 7. The 34-year-old has now recorded multiple strikeouts in four of his last five appearances and his 12.6 K/9 would be Jansen's highest mark since his standout 2017 campaign.

Davidson (1-0) earned the win during Tuesday's 3-0 shutout of Milwaukee, allowing three hits and three walks with three strikeouts in five scoreless innings.

Making his first start and second appearance of 2022, Davidson scattered his baserunners across five innings and was never in any real danger. On the downside, the 26-year-old only tossed 38 of 69 pitches for strikes, with seven swinging strikes, and he's now walked five total batters in 7.2 innings. It's unclear what Davidson's role will be in the immediate future.

Rogers pitched a scoreless ninth inning, allowing one hit while striking out one on his way to a save in Tuesday's 3-0 win over the Phillies.

Rogers struck out Kyle Schwarber to open the inning before giving up a one-out single to Nick Castellanos, but he was able to get Jean Segura to ground into a double play to end the contest immediately after. The save was Rogers' 14th of the season, tying him with Josh Hader for the most in MLB. After being acquired by San Diego just prior to the season, the left-hander has only one blown save in 15 attempts while producing a sparkling 0.56 ERA and 0.56 WHIP with 18 punchouts over 16 innings in 16 appearances.

Norris was removed from Tuesday's game against the Pirates with right Achilles soreness, Tim Stebbins of NBC Sports Chicago reports.

Norris retired the only batter he faced on four pitches before exiting Tuesday's contest with the injury. The left-hander should be considered day-to-day, and it's unclear whether or not he'll require a trip to the injured list.

Diaz recorded the final three outs of Tuesday's extra-inning win over the Guardians to earn his first career save. He issued two walks and struck out three.

Diaz didn't make it easy on himself -- he also uncorked a wild pitch that nearly scored the tying run -- but he ultimately punched out Jose Ramirez with the bases loaded and the game on the line. Art Warren blew the save chance in ninth. The brother of longtime closer Edwin Diaz, Alexis has been a revelation out of the Cincinnati bullpen this year, allowing one earned run while fanning 21 in 17.1 innings. The right-hander has emerged as a candidate to take over the closer role for the Reds until Lucas Sims (back) returns, and perhaps beyond.

Uceta was recalled from Triple-A Reno on Tuesday.

Uceta was already with the Diamondbacks on the taxi squad and will now join the active roster ahead of Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader. The 24-year-old has appeared in two big-league games this season and has allowed two runs over 1.2 innings.

Reed was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse after Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Cardinals, Deesha Thosar of the New York Daily News reports.

Reed made his season debut in Game 1 and picked up his first big-league win with two scoreless innings, but he won't stick on the active roster for the nightcap. The 29-year-old could rejoin the Mets later in the year as part of the bullpen shuffle.

Lambert (forearm) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Lambert is expected to make a one-inning start for Albuquerque in what will mark his first appearance in affiliated ball of the season. He missed the entire 2020 campaign and most of the 2021 campaign while recovering from Tommy John surgery, but he was expected to be back at full strength for spring training. However, he battled right forearm inflammation in camp, which ended any hope he had of winning a back-end rotation role with the big club. The Rockies still plan to have Lambert build up for starting duties during his rehab assignment, but he could be optioned to Albuquerque once his rehab window comes to a close.

The Cubs selected Hughes' contract from Triple-A Iowa on Tuesday.

Chicago freed up a spot on the 40-man roster for Hughes by placing Jason Heyward on the COVID-19-related injured list and opened up room for the southpaw in the bullpen by optioning Conner Menez to Triple-A Iowa. A 16th-round draft pick out Michigan State in 2017, Hughes had yet to allow a run while striking out 22 and holding opponents to an .091 average through 16.2 innings at Iowa. The Cubs are likely to deploy him in lower-leverage spots initially.

Even though Menez hadn't been used out of the bullpen since Friday, the Cubs will still swap him off the 26-man active roster in favor of another lefty bullpen arm in Brandon Hughes, whose contract was selected from Iowa. Though his only appearance with Chicago was of the one-inning variety, Menez should move into a multi-inning role as he rejoins the Iowa bullpen.
