The Dodgers activated Phillips (quadriceps) from the 10-day injured list Monday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Phillips is back with in the Dodgers' bullpen after a right quadriceps strain sidelined him for 11 days. Now healthy, the righty should serve as an innings-eater in low-leverage situations going forward.

Miller's contract will be selected by the Pirates prior to Tuesday's game against the White Sox, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Miller has struggled at the major-league level for several years now, as he owns a 7.15 ERA in 185 innings since the start of the 2016 season. He gave up seven runs on seven hits and five walks in just two innings of work for the Cubs earlier this season, but he's pitched well in 24.1 Triple-A innings this season, posting a 2.96 ERA and a 37.8 percent strikeout rate.

Brebbia was recalled by the Giants on Monday.

The Giants had to quickly adjust their plans Monday when both Johnny Cueto and Alex Wood landed on the injured list for undisclosed reasons. Cueto was scheduled to start Monday's series opener against the Brewers, so the team will go with a bullpen game instead. Brebbia gives the team an extra arm in the bullpen and could potentially offer some length, as he's recorded five or more outs three times this season.

White isn't expected to make a start during the Dodgers' upcoming three-game weekend series with the Giants and could work out of the bullpen until Los Angeles next requires a fifth starter Sept. 7 in St. Louis, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Though manager Dave Roberts didn't say explicitly that the Dodgers would cut their rotation to four starters this week due to Thursday's off day, the skipper indicated that Julio Urias and Walker Buehler would pitch on four days' rest in San Francisco. Assuming that plans comes to pass, Urias and Buehler would start Saturday and Sunday, respectively, while No. 4 starter David Price would get the ball for Thursday's series opener. After having last started this past Sunday, White should be available out of the bullpen for the entirety of the series in San Francisco, if the Dodgers don't option him to Triple-A Oklahoma City beforehand to make room on the roster for another player.

Crowe didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Cardinals after allowing three runs on five hits and three walks across five innings, striking out four.

Crowe has tossed three straight no-decisions and has gone 0-2 with a 5.64 ERA over his last five starts, so he hasn't exactly been a reliable presence on the mound for Pittsburgh. He does own a 22:11 K:BB through 22.1 innings in that span, but at the same time, he hasn't fanned more than five batters in any of those five aforementioned starts. He's projected to make his next start in the upcoming weekend series against the Cubs on the road.

Weathers is expected to be optioned to Triple-A El Paso or move to the bullpen if Jake Arrieta (hamstring) is cleared to return from the 10-day injured list during this weekend's series with the Astros, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

After a strong start to the season, the 21-year-old lefty has looked the part of one of the majors' youngest pitchers since late July. In his last six outings, Weathers has been lit up for 31 earned runs -- including 11 home runs -- in 20.2 innings. Due to the Padres' dwindling rotation depth, Weathers has been forced to take his lumps at the big-league level, but Chris Paddack (oblique) is set to return from the IL on Monday, and Arrieta should be back a few days later. Those impending additions will give the Padres a full five-man rotation for the first time in weeks.

White (1-2) took the loss in Sunday's 5-0 defeat at the hands of the Rockies, allowing three runs on six hits and two walks with six strikeouts in 3.1 innings.

White encountered trouble immediately, surrendering a three-run C.J. Cron home run in the first inning to put Los Angeles in an early hole. The rookie was coming off a superb performance against Pittsburgh on Aug. 18 and may still receive more spot start opportunities down the stretch.

Wilson is scheduled to start Tuesday's game against the White Sox in Chicago, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Wilson returned from the injured list Wednesday against the Diamondbacks and tied his season high with seven strikeouts while working five scoreless frames, so it comes as little surprise that he'll stick around in the Pittsburgh rotation. After acquiring Wilson from Atlanta on July 30, the Pirates presumably want to evaluate him throughout September to determine if he's a long-term fit in their rotation.

Double-A Amarillo reinstated Jarvis (oblique) from its 7-day injured list Friday.

Jarvis is back in action with Amarillo for the first time since mid-July. The 2020 first-round pick had been shut down due to an oblique injury, but he proved his health during a three-inning appearance in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League on Monday.

Rolison (hand) returned from Triple-A Albuquerque's 7-day injured list Friday and gave up five runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out four over five innings in the affiliate's 5-1 loss.

Rolison was sidelined for just over nine weeks with a fractured left hand before he began a three-start rehab assignment in the lower levels of the minors earlier this month. After getting sufficient time to build up, Rolison slotted back into the Albuquerque rotation, where he's expected to remain for the duration of the season. Over four starts at Albuquerque this season, Rolison has posted a 5.71 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 19:4 K:BB in 17.1 innings.
