De Los Santos was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Friday, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com

De Los Santos was sent down Tuesday and allowed one run on a hit and no walks while striking out two in one inning at Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Wednesday. He'll rejoin the major-league roster after Zach Eflin (knee) was placed on the 10-day injured list Friday.

Ponce de Leon, who fired a scoreless seventh inning during which he allowed a hit and a walk in a loss to the Pirates on Thursday, has a 1.69 ERA across 5.1 innings over the three appearances he's logged since returning from the injured list.

Ponce de Leon was activated from his IL stint on Aug. 9, but he didn't see any action until last Friday, just two days shy of two months since he'd last made an appearance June 22. The versatile right-hander has made two starts among his 20 appearances this season, and his brief stretch of success over the last week is encouraging considering he went into it with a career-worst 7.03 ERA and 1.64 WHIP.

Cabrera (2-5) was charged with the loss and his third blown save in a defeat at the hands of the Pirates on Thursday, allowing six earned runs on six hits without recording an out.

Cabrera managed to incur all that damage on just 13 pitches in a performance that was easily his worst of the season. The left-hander had bounced back from another tough outing against Pittsburgh on Saturday by garnering his 23rd hold versus the Tigers on Wednesday, but it's clear Bucs bats have a very good read on his pitches at present.

Jamison has a 1.98 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 41:6 K:BB in 27.1 innings since his promotion to Double-A Amarillo.

He's tossed seven-plus innings in three straight starts and has recorded double-digit whiffs three times in his four Double-A outings. Jameson wasn't quite this good at High-A Hillsboro, where he put up a 3.92 ERA and 1.22 WHIP, but those stats obscure the fact that he put up a 1.69 ERA and 0.99 WHIP in his last six outings for Hillsboro before being promoted. The 23-year-old righty out of Ball State was a first-round pick in 2019, and he's suddenly not too far from the majors. He almost certainly won't come up this year, but a promotion in the middle of next season is quite possible if he keeps pitching this well.

Garcia (5-3) allowed two hits and struck out two over 1.2 scoreless innings to earn the win Thursday over the Mets.

Starter Alex Wood allowed a game-tying two-run home run to Pete Alonso in the sixth inning, prompting manager Gabe Kapler to bring in Garcia. The southpaw delivered solid work over five outs, and San Francisco took the lead in the eighth to put him in line for his career-high fifth win of the year. Garcia has a strong 2.66 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 54:13 K:BB with a save and eight holds in 50.2 innings this year.

Moore (2-4) picked up the loss Thursday against Arizona, pitching four innings while allowing four runs on seven hits with two walks and two strikeouts.

Moore ran into trouble early Thursday and allowed four consecutive singles in the second inning to plate two runs, while also later surrendering a two-run home run to Nick Ahmed. The southpaw only threw 70 pitches total in the contest, and has surpassed five innings in a start once across his last six outings. Moore lines up take the mound next week in Washington if Zach Eflin (knee) remains sidelined after being scratched Thursday.

Hernandez (1-1) allowed two runs (one earned) on six hits and a walk over five innings in Thursday's win over Washington. He struck out four and picked up the victory.

Hernandez put together a nice performance after being roughed up in his previous start against the Reds, holding the Nationals off the board until the fifth inning. Alcides Escobar reached on an error and Juan Soto followed with a two-run homer, but Hernandez responded by inducing groundball outs from Josh Bell and Yadiel Hernandez to get through the frame. The 26-year-old hurler owns a 3.63 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 23:4 K:BB in 22.1 innings and is tentatively lined up to make his next start on the road against the struggling Mets.

Floro recorded the final out of the game to nail down a 7-5 win over Washington on Thursday.

With a pair of Washington runs already across the plate in the ninth inning, Floro was called upon with two outs and got Riley Adams to fly out with the bases loaded. It was the sixth save in 10 opportunities this season for Floro, who owns a 2.88 ERA and 46:20 K:BB in 50 innings, with four of those saves coming in August.

Rogers tossed a perfect ninth inning to earn his 12th save Thursday against the Mets.

Rogers was tasked with preserving a 3-2 lead in the ninth inning and was able to retire J.D. Davis, Brandon Nimmo and Francisco Lindor on flyballs, needing only eight pitches to do so. Jake McGee had earned the save for the Giants one night earlier and remains San Francisco's primary closer, but Rogers has now provided five straight scoreless outings. Rogers owns a sparkling 1.89 ERA and 1.00 WHIP in 62 innings this season.

Garcia, who secured his third hold in an extra-inning win over the Tigers on Wednesday, has now pitched 16.1 consecutive scoreless innings during which he boasts a win, two holds and a 16:1 K:BB.

It's quite the turnaround for the 34-year-old, who began his Cardinals tenure by yielding six earned runs over his first three appearances. Garcia's scoreless streak stretches back to July 28 and features five appearances of more than one inning.
