Littell (1-0) struck out the only batter he faced and earned the win Tuesday versus Arizona.

After Jake McGee allowed the tying run to score in the top of the ninth inning, Littell was called upon for the final out of the frame. He then became the beneficiary of San Francisco's walkoff win. Through 37.1 innings, Littell has a 3.13 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 28:17 K:BB while logging one save and five holds. He's starting to see more high-leverage work, but he's not yet a legitimate threat to challenge for save chances.

Melancon picked up the save in Tuesday's 6-5 triumph against the Marlins, allowing a hit and striking out two in 1.1 innings.

Melancon entered in the eighth with the tying run on first base and struck out Jorge Alfaro on three pitches, then surrendered a leadoff double in the ninth before recording three straight outs to lock down his 34th save. An efficient 14 strikes on 18 pitches assisted the All-Star closer in delivering his first outing requiring more than three outs since May 12.

Curtiss was removed from Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Cubs with right elbow discomfort, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Curtiss recorded two outs and allowed a run on two hits while recording a strikeout before leaving the field with an athletic trainer. The right-hander attempted to remain in the contest but was ultimately pulled by manager Craig Counsell. He should be considered day-to-day until the specifics of the injury are known.

Smith worked around a hit and a walk to pitch a scoreless ninth inning, earning the save in the win over the Reds on Tuesday.

It wasn't any easy save for Smith, who allowed runners to reach first and second base with one out. However, he was able to get Mike Moustakas to ground out into a double play to end the game. Smith struggled in his last appearance, allowing three runs in a blown save against the Nationals. The 31-year-old still has a 3.55 ERA and 1.14 WHIP with a 10.5 K/9 in 45.2 innings.

Reyes struck out one without allowing a baserunner across a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save Tuesday against the Pirates.

Reyes had one of his most efficient outings of the season, as he needed only seven pitches to record his 26th save of the season. Since walking four batters without recording an out Aug. 5, Reyes has struck out four batters without issuing a free pass across his last three innings. Though he has a 7.3 BB/9 across 51.2 frames overall, Reyes has maintained a 2.26 ERA and has blown only one save opportunity.

Brebbia was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday.

Brebbia joined the Giants on Sunday and will return to Triple-A without appearing in a game. The right-hander has a 6.60 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 16:2 K:BB in 15 major-league innings this season.

Doval was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday.

Doval will rejoin the Giants on Tuesday after spending the past two months in the minors. The 24-year-old has a 7.59 ERA and 13:6 K:BB over 10.2 big-league innings this season.

Megill was optioned to Triple-A Iowa on Tuesday, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Megill allowed a run on a pair of hits in the Cubs' loss in the afternoon portion of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Brewers and won't get to stick around for the nightcap. Rowan Wick (oblique) was activated off the injured list in a corresponding move.

Williams gave up three hits and struck out two in a scoreless seventh inning Tuesday to record his second save of the season in the first game of a doubleheader against the Cubs.

The right-hander loaded the bases on three singles, but Williams rebounded to fan Patrick Wisdom and Greg Deichmann to end the matinee. Both of Williams' saves have come in his last three appearances as he extended his scoreless streak to 12 innings and 13 games, and he should remain the Brewers' top closing option while Josh Hader (COVID-19) is sidelined.

The Dodgers placed Kelly on the injured list Monday without a designation, implying he's been deactivated due to COVID-19-related reasons.

Due to privacy reasons, the Dodgers can't disclose whether Kelly has tested positive for the coronavirus, or if he's merely considered a close contact of an infected person or persons. Regardless, Kelly's move to the IL clears a spot on the 40-man roster and 26-man active roster for fellow reliever Corey Knebel (lat), who was reinstated from the 60-day IL.
