Topa (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment with the Rookie-level ACL Brewers Blue on Tuesday.

Topa has missed the entire regular season so far after suffering a flexor strain during spring training. He advanced to throwing bullpens in late June and will now participate in his first game action of the season. Given his lengthy absence, the right-hander will likely need multiple weeks in the minors to get ramped up, but he will certainly be a candidate to join the Brewers' bullpen in late July or early August, assuming he doesn't face any setbacks. Topa impressed during his brief time with the Brewers in 2020, posting a 2.35 ERA and 12:1 K:BB across 7.2 innings.

Weber was designated for assignment by the Brewers on Tuesday.

The Brewers claimed Weber after the right-hander was DFA'd by Boston last month. He pitched one scoreless inning for Milwaukee before being sent to Triple-A Nashville on June 27. With Milwaukee acquiring lefty Kyle Lobstein from the Nationals on Tuesday, Weber is the odd man out on the 40-man roster. The 30-year-old could attract interest on the waiver wire from clubs in search of bullpen depth.

Guzman (elbow) was reinstated from the 60-day injured list Tuesday and optioned to Triple-A Jacksonville, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Guzman has been on a rehab stint with Jacksonville since late June, and he's allowed five earned runs on nine hits and four walks across 7.1 innings. He'll reclaim his spot on the 40-man roster with his Tuesday activation but will remain in Triple-A for the time being. The Marlins could look to stretch out Guzman in hopes of having him available to start big-league games later this season.

Szapucki underwent ulnar transposition surgery in his left elbow that will end his season, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

The procedure was necessary to repair a nerve issue in the lefty's pitching elbow. Szapucki appeared in one game for the Mets this season and struggled, allowing six runs on seven hits and three walks in just 3.2 innings. It's unclear whether he'll be healthy for the start of spring training in 2022.

The Pirates placed Howard on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a right oblique strain, Alex Stumpf of DKPittsburghSports.com reports.

The lefty appeared in five games after being activated from the IL on June 29, posting a 16.20 ERA in 3.1 innings while walking four batters and hitting two. It's currently unclear whether Howard will be activated soon after he's eligible July 20. The Pirates have yet to announce a corresponding move.

The Padres were encouraged by the results of the MRI that Weathers underwent on his right foot Sunday, but the team expects him to be sidelined until at least the early part of August, Dennis Lin of The Athletic reports.

A firm diagnosis on Weathers' injury isn't yet available, but he at least appears to have avoided a worst-case scenario -- a ruptured Achilles' tendon -- after he tumbled hard to the ground during his start in Sunday's loss to the Rockies when his right foot got stuck in the dirt. Weathers will still likely require a trip to the injured list, with the Padres expected to announce the move shortly before the team begins its second-half schedule Friday. The rookie becomes the latest in a growing list of injured Padres starting pitchers, though San Diego is at least expected to get back both Blake Snell (illness) and Yu Darvish (hip) when their next turns in the rotation come up.

Martin has been scored upon only once in his last eight appearances dating back to June 23, posting a 1.13 ERA and 6:3 K:BB over eight innings during that stretch.

The 35-year-old also picked up three of his nine holds on the year during that period. Martin has steadied the ship after a couple rough outings in mid-June, and he'll head into the second half as Atlanta's top right-handed setup option in front of closer Will Smith.

Rogers struck out one in a perfect inning to earn a hold in Sunday's 3-1 win over Washington.

After a rough stretch in early June, Rogers has bounced back well. He's allowed just one run in his last 11.1 innings across 12 appearances while adding two saves and seven holds in that span. The sidearm-throwing righty has been excellent for much of the season with a 1.47 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 24:7 K:BB in 43 innings overall while logging 10 saves and 17 holds. He's shared the bulk of the save chances with Jake McGee, who worked the ninth inning for his 19th save of the year Sunday.

Bukauskas (1-2) took the loss in Sunday's 7-4 defeat at the hands of the Dodgers, allowing three runs on two hits and a walk in one-third of an inning.

Bukauskas came in for the ninth in a 4-4 game and surrendered a single, sacrifice, intentional walk and game-ending Max Muncy home run to take the loss. The rookie enters the break with 12.2 innings across 16 appearances and unsightly 9.24 ERA but may receive additional opportunities on a tanking Diamondbacks team.

Jansen (1-2) won Sunday's 7-4 victory over the Diamondbacks, allowing one hit in one inning.

Jansen pitched a scoreless ninth to preserve a 4-4 tie and became the winner when Max Muncy walked it off in the bottom of the inning. It was the closer's fourth appearance of July. Jansen concludes the first half with excellent marks of 21 saves, 1.24 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 41:22 K:BB ratio.
