Cabrera secured his ninth hold in a win over the Diamondbacks on Saturday, firing a scoreless sixth inning during which he allowed a hit and a walk while also recording a strikeout.

Cabrera lowered his ERA to 1.75 with his 13th consecutive scoreless inning, a stretch spanning 12 appearances. The left-hander does sometimes tempt fate with spotty control (4.2 BB/9), but his high 90s fastball and 83.3 percent LOB rate have helped him frequently wiggle out of trouble.

Perdomo has been placed on the 10-day injured list with a lower back strain.

Perdomo last pitched May 24, so it's unclear when or how the injury occurred. The southpaw will head to the injured list for at least 10 days. Pitcher Alec Bettinger was recalled to take his roster spot.

Gibreath was sent back to Triple-A after serving as the Rockies' 27th man during Saturday's doubleheader against the Pirates.

Gilbreath got an inning of work in during his brief stint with the big club, allowing one run on one hit and a walk. He figures to be a candidate to rejoin the Rockies at some point later this summer.

Reyes pitched the ninth inning of Saturday's 7-4 win over the Diamondbacks, allowing a hit and a walk with two strikeouts in a scoreless inning.

Reyes entered the ninth with a three-run lead and allowed the first two batters to reach base but retired the next three to secure the save. He's been one of the most electric relievers in the game with 12.5 K/9 but also sports a high WHIP of 1.36.

Melancon was charged with a blown save Saturday as a result of allowing one unearned run on one hit and one walk across one inning.

Melancon has now blown two consecutive save opportunities, though it certainly bears mentioning that both chances came in extra innings and that the right-hander has allowed only the inherited runner to score in each instance. There's little reason to think that the Padres have lost any confidence in Melancon given the circumstances of the outings, especially since San Diego has ended up winning both contests. Melancon continues to lead MLB with 17 saves on the season.

Thompson (3-1) earned the win in relief Saturday against the Reds after giving up one hit and striking out one in two-thirds of an inning.

Thompson needed just 11 pitches (eight strikes) to get the job done and close out the sixth inning, and while he allowed an unearned run on a double from Tyler Stephenson, he later retired Max Schrock on a popout and struck out Jonathan India. The right-hander has yet to allow an earned run this season.

Diaz was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse on Saturday.

Diaz spent a week on the big-league roster and threw a pair of scoreless innings. He'll make way for Taijuan Walker, who returns from a side injury in a corresponding move.

Ramirez was optioned to Triple-A El Paso on Saturday, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Ramirez was called up by the Padres on Friday and allowed one hit and two walks while striking out two in two scoreless relief innings during Friday's win over Houston. He'll now return to the minors to make room in the bullpen for Aaron Northcraft, who was recalled in a corresponding move.

Rogers (1-0) allowed three runs on three hits in one inning but earned the win Friday versus the Dodgers.

Rogers gave up a game-tying three-run home run to Austin Barnes in the bottom of the ninth inning. It was just the second home run Rogers has given up in 27 appearances this year. He then got the win when San Francisco reclaimed the lead in the top of the 10th, and Jarlin Garcia was able to notch the save. Despite Friday's hiccup, Rogers has posted a 1.63 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 14:5 K:BB across 27.2 innings this season. He's seen more ninth-inning work than Jake McGee lately, but the back end of the Giants' bullpen is very much a committee situation.

Melancon (1-0) blew the save but took the win against Houston on Friday, allowing an unearned run on three walks over one inning.

After the Padres took a one-run lead in the top of the 10th inning, Melancon was called upon to shut the door in the bottom of the frame. He allowed the inherited runner to score on a sacrifice fly and walked three batters but was able to get out of the inning having allowed only the unearned run. Melancon was then credited with the victory after San Diego exploded for seven runs in the top of the next frame. Still, it was a rare unimpressive outing for the right-hander, who tossed only 11 of 28 pitches for strikes and blew his first save of the campaign. He still leads the league with 17 saves and has posted a 0.77 ERA over 23.1 innings.
