Scott picked up the save, working a scoreless ninth while allowing two hits, walking one and striking out one during Friday's 5-4 win over the Royals.

Scott made it 18 saves on the season, but things got dicey on the way there. The left-hander loaded the bases with one out, but he induced a game-ending double play to clinch the win. The 30-year-old has converted eight straight save opportunities, though he has allowed five hits and two walks while striking out only two over his last four appearances spanning 4.1 innings.

Gillaspie (oblique) began a minor-league rehab stint June 17 and has thrown 5.2 scoreless innings with a 5:0 K:BB over three appearances.

Gillaspie pitched in three games with San Diego in April before landing on the injured list April 27 due to an oblique strain. The right-hander has thrown more than one frame in each of his three rehab outings so far, and he appears to be prepping for a multi-inning middle-relief role upon his potential return to the Padres. Gillaspie could be ready for activation at some point in July.

Law has been shut down from throwing this weekend after experiencing soreness in his right forearm, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Law reported the soreness after his last rehab outing with Triple-A Rochester on Wednesday. He'll attempt to throw again Tuesday and could be cleared to pitch again next Wednesday barring any setbacks. Law has appeared in three games during his rehab assignment and has allowed six runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out one batter across 3.2 innings.

The Mets optioned Warren to Triple-A Syracuse on Friday.

Warren was recalled ahead of Thursday's game against Atlanta and threw 32 pitches across 2.1 innings of relief, allowing one hit while striking out two. He's yet to allow a run in two appearances out of the Mets' bullpen this season.

The Mets selected Poche's contract from Triple-A Syracuse on Friday.

Poche began the season with the Nationals but was designated for assignment in early May before quickly inking a minor-league deal with the Mets. He appeared in 12 games with Syracuse and registered a 4.26 ERA and 13:10 K:BB across 12.2 innings.

The Rockies optioned Molina to Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday.

Molina will yield his spot on the active roster to Kyle Freeland (back), who's been activated from the injured list. Molina allowed seven runs with five strikeouts and no walks over 7.2 innings in four appearances during this MLB stint.

Kopech notched a hold against the Rockies on Thursday, striking out one batter in one perfect inning.

Kopech inherited a two-run lead in the eighth frame and retired all three batters he faced on a combined 13 pitches. After missing over two months while on the injured list to begin the campaign, he's pitched in eight games since his June 8 debut and has yet to allow a run over seven innings. Kopech has five holds in those eight contests and is averaging over a strikeout per inning, so he's a desirable asset in fantasy leagues that count holds.

The Giants optioned Hjelle to Triple-A Sacramento on Friday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Hjelle was called up in early June to serve out of the bullpen and accumulated a 4.09 ERA and a 7:7 K:BB before yielding four runs in one inning Thursday against Miami. He'll cede his spot on the active roster to Carson Seymour.

Stephens might be called up to replace Didier Fuentes in the big-league rotation, David O'Brien of the Athletic reports.

Fuentes has coughed up 10 runs in 8.1 inning over his first two starts for Atlanta with a 4:1 K:BB, and while the organization still believes in his future, the 20-year-old doesn't appear ready for the majors. Stephens has spent most of the year in the bullpen for Triple-A Gwinnett, but in two starts since being shifted to the rotation June 20, he's tossed nine scoreless frames with a 12:3 K:BB. The veteran righty has made appearances for Atlanta in each of the last three season, posting a 3.52 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 60:29 K:BB in 69 innings while working primarily in relief.

The Diamondbacks signed Mengden to a minor-league contract Thursday.

After spending the 2024 season in the Chinese Professional Baseball League, Mengden had been pitching this season in the Mexican League. The 32-year-old has not seen any action at the major-league level since 2022 and is merely organizational depth for Arizona.
