Diaz (neck) feels better but won't pitch in Sunday's game against the Braves, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Diaz exited Saturday's outing with right trapezius tightness, so it isn't a major surprise to see the Mets wanting to avoid using him for at least a day. The 25-year-old will also have Monday's scheduled off day to aid in his recovery before potentially missing any more games. Seth Lugo figures to be the top option for a save opportunity in his absence.

Yates (0-4) took the loss against Boston on Saturday, pitching one inning and giving up one run on two hits and two walks while striking out one.

Yates entered the game in the ninth inning with the score knotted at 4-4 and served up his second home run of the season on his first pitch. He then worked out of a bases-loaded jam to keep San Diego within a run, but the Padres were unable to get Yates off the hook for his fourth loss. Despite the rough outing, the 32-year-old remains one of the top closers in baseball, compiling a 1.38 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 83:11 K:BB in 52 innings while converting 36 of 39 save opportunities.

Lamet did not factor into the decision against Boston on Saturday, pitching five innings and giving up four runs on six hits and three walks while striking out five.

Lamet breezed through the first two innings but ran into trouble in the third, giving up a run on a pair of singles and a hit batsman. He then gave up three more runs in the fourth frame when the first four Boston batters reached base via two singles, a double and a walk. The four-run outing snapped a streak of six consecutive starts in which Lamet gave up three earned runs or less. The 27-year-old owns a 4.30 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 60:20 K:BB in 46 innings this season and will head to San Francisco for his next scheduled start against the Giants on Friday.

Coonrod (3-0) retired both batters he faced and earned the win in Saturday's 10-5 victory over the Athletics.

Coonrod recorded the final two outs of the seventh inning and became the pitcher of record when the Giants rallied for eight runs in the eighth. The 26-year-old has allowed four runs on five hits and six walks across 9.2 innings in August. Overall, he has a 2.55 ERA and 1.02 WHIP in 17.2 innings this season despite an unsightly 10:10 K:BB.

Yamamoto (4-5) allowed six runs on six hits with four walks and three strikeouts across 3.2 innings while taking a loss against the Phillies on Saturday.

The Phillies had runners in scoring position during the second and third innings, but Yamamoto escaped unscathed to post three scoreless innings to start the night. That all ended in the fourth, however, as he retired just two of eight batters, and the Marlins bullpen allowed all three of the runners he left on base to score. As a result, he was charged with six runs for the first time since July 27. Yamamoto, who will face the Reds at home Thursday, owns a 4.87 ERA despite a 1.13 WHIP and .192 batting average against with 69 strikeouts in 68.1 innings this season.

Diaz was removed from Saturday's game against the Braves with right trap tightness, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Diaz entered for the ninth inning with the Mets trailing 7-5, and he allowed two runs on one hit and one walk before exiting with the athletic trainer. Manager Mickey Callaway said "it's really hard to say" whether the injury could land Diaz on the injured list, but he at least seems unlikely to be available for Sunday's series finale.

Hudson (13-6) picked up the win in Saturday's 6-0 victory over the Rockies, giving up two hits and three walks over six scoreless innings while striking out two.

The right-hander continues to stifle opposition offenses without being particularly dominant. Hudson now has an 18.2-inning scoreless streak over his last three starts, but his 13:9 K:BB during that stretch suggests he's been as much lucky as good. He'll take a 3.47 ERA into his next outing Friday, at home against the Reds.

Jansen struck out the side and allowed two hits in a scoreless inning to earn the save in a 2-1 victory over the Yankees on Saturday.

Jansen came on to protect a one-run lead but allowed the Yankees to load the bases with one out on two singles and a fielder's choice. However, the right-hander rallied to strike out Mike Tauchman and Gary Sanchez to earn his 27th save in 33 chances. Jansen now has a 3.62 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 67:11 K:BB over 49.2 innings this year.

Voth (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Harrisburg on Saturday, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.

Voth is set to start the contest, though it's unclear how long he will pitch. Prior to the assignment, Voth pitched in the Gulf Coast league, so he may not need a lot of additional work prior to being activated.

Pivetta was optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Saturday.

The Phillies had hoped Pivetta would serve as a high-leverage reliever when they shifted him to the bullpen earlier this season. However, he allowed at least one earned run in four of his last five appearances, causing the Phillies to turn in another direction. Pivetta will look to get back on track in Triple-A, though it is still unclear whether he will be used as a starter or reliever.
