Lambert allowed two runs on six hits with one walk and four strikeouts across five innings during a no-decision against the Reds on Sunday.

The 22-year-old hasn't won a game since June 11, but he's pitched a little better over his last couple outings, posting a 3.87 ERA in his most recent three starts. He still hasn't pitched much, though, so the couple rough outings he had in late June have elevated his ERA. Overall, Lambert is 2-2 with a 5.67 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 35 strikeouts in 46 innings this season. He will take the mound next at home Friday against the Giants.

Clarke was activated off the paternity list following Sunday's loss at Miami.

Clarke was off the 25-man roster for the weekend to attend the birth of his child, but he'll rejoin the Diamondbacks in advance of Tuesday's scheduled start. The 26-year-old has a 6.10 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 39:19 K:BB through his first 51.2 innings.

Morejon is listed as the Padres' starting pitcher for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Morejon essentially worked as an opener in his MLB debut exactly one week earlier against the Cubs, yielding a run over 2.1 innings before giving way to primary pitcher Cal Quantrill. Since that outing, Morejon has made only a one-inning relief appearance Thursday against the Mets, so he may not be asked to cover more than two or three frames as he re-enters the rotation Sunday. The Padres haven't indicated whether a primary pitcher will be deployed behind Morejon, so manager Andy Green could treat the series finale as more of a bullpen game.

The Marlins recalled Brigham from Triple-A New Orleans ahead of Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.

Brigham will assume the active roster spot that opened up when Sergio Romo was dealt to the Twins on Saturday. Though he didn't find much success in his prior stints with the Marlins earlier this season, Brigham has been electric while working out of the Triple-A bullpen. Over his 11 appearances with New Orleans spanning 24 innings, Brigham has piled up 30 strikeouts to go with a 1.50 ERA and 0.71 WHIP.

Kimbrel (0-2) allowed three runs on two hits (two homers) with one walk and zero strikeouts without recording an out during a non-save situation in a 5-3 loss against the Brewers on Saturday.

This was just the second time in Kimbrel's career and the first time since May 7, 2013, that he allowed two homers in an outing. Christian Yelich started the 10th with a homer, and then after a walk, Keston Hiura won it with another blast. This breaks a streak of eight straight innings without giving up a run for Kimbrel, but because he has such a small sample and didn't record an out Saturday, his ERA spiked back up to 6.75. He is 7-for-9 in save chances with a 1.69 WHIP and 14 strikeouts in 10.2 innings this season.

Iglesias set down the Rockies in order with two strikeouts during the ninth inning to earn a save during a 3-1 victory Saturday.

The 29-year-old had given up a run in three straight appearances, so it was good to see him make quick work of the Rockies on Saturday. Iglesias is just 2-8 but also 19-for-22 in save chances with a 4.50 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 58 strikeouts in 44 innings this season.

Yamamoto (4-2) was handed the loss Saturday versus the Diamondbacks after surrendering six runs on two hits and three walks over four innings. He had three strikeouts and hit a batter.

It's a curious stat line considering Yamamoto allowed only two hits, but one of them was a fourth-inning grand slam by Nick Ahmed. All six runs given up were scored in the fourth. The 22-year-old had a 1.59 ERA and 0.94 WHIP across his first six starts, but in his last two outings he's been charged with 11 runs over eight innings. Yamamoto will look for a rebound performance Thursday against the Twins.

Young (4-0) received the win Saturday against the Marlins after giving up two runs on eight hits over six innings. He struck out two and walked one.

Young surrendered four runs and lasted only four innings in his previous start, so it was good to see him rebound to deliver a quality start Saturday. The 25-year-old has a 2.51 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and 20:7 K:BB through his first five major-league starts and lines up to pitch Friday versus the Nationals.

Ponce de Leon (1-1) took the loss Saturday, coughing up five runs on three hits and four walks over 2.1 innings as the Cardinals fell 8-2 to the Astros. He didn't strike out a batter.

The bulk of the damage came once he'd left the game, as the right-hander hit the showers after loading the bases in the third inning only to watch Michael Wacha serve up a grand slam to Carlos Correa. Ponce de Leon now sports a 3.76 ERA and 44:21 K:BB through 40.2 innings, but if the Cards add reinforcements at the trade deadline, he's a likely candidate to lose his spot in the rotation.

Collins was outrighted to Triple-A Iowa on Saturday, Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Collins, who was designated for assignment last week, will report to Iowa after passing through waivers untouched. The southpaw owns a 3.12 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 4:3 K:BB in 8.2 innings with the Cubs this season.
