Dominguez gave up three runs (two earned) on two walks and a hit Monday against the Cubs, striking out one batter over two innings.

Dominguez retired the top of the Cubs' lineup in order in the seventh inning but fell apart when asked to handle a second frame. He walked the first two batters he faced in the eighth and allowed both to score on a Daniel Descalso triple. Descalso scored himself after Jean Segura's throw hit him in the foot and bounced into the dugout as he slid for third, giving the Cubs the lead, but the Phillies' offense bailed Dominguez out in the top of the ninth. Notably, Monday's outing was the first in which Dominguez has recorded more than three outs this season, suggesting he may not be asked to do so again for a while. The 24-year-old has lost all his fantasy relevance from last season as he's not being tasked with save opportunities or a heavy workload and has a 5.03 ERA.

Kay was perfect through five innings for Double-A Binghamton on Monday, finishing the night allowing only one walk through seven scoreless, no-hit innings while striking out seven.

The southpaw has given up one run or fewer in eight of his nine outings for the Rumble Ponies this season, but Monday's gem was his best effort yet. Kay's 1.07 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and 52:17 K:BB through 50.2 innings make a compelling case for a promotion, but his next stop may not end up being at Triple-A -- Mets manager Mickey Callaway said Monday that the club had at least considered promoting the 24-year-old to the majors to fill the team's fifth starter spot, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Yates got the save against the Diamondbacks on Monday, striking out two with no walks in a scoreless ninth inning to lock down San Diego's 2-1 victory.

The right-hander turned in yet another clean effort, dispatching of the Diamondbacks in order to make him a perfect 18-for-18 on save opportunities. Yates has been virtually untouchable to start 2019, as he's given up just three earned runs and struck out 40 batters in 22 innings.

Suarez will remain in San Francisco's starting rotation moving forward, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Suarez gave up three runs over six frames in his 2019 debut, and he evidently convinced his skipper to keep him in the rotation for the foreseeable future. The Giants currently have 14 pitchers on their 25-man roster, so with Suarez remaining in the rotation, a move is expected to be made Tuesday to add an infielder.

Suarez (0-1) allowed three runs on four hits and four walks Monday, taking the loss against the Braves. He struck out five and yielded two homers.

It was Suarez's 2019 debut after registering a 4.49 ERA in over 160 innings at the MLB level last season. Things got rocky early as he served up a leadoff blast to Ronald Acuna and later was taken deep by Austin Riley. Assuming he sticks around in the rotation, the 26-year-old will make another home start Saturday against Arizona.

Diaz gave up a hit in a scoreless ninth inning to record his 11th save of the season in Monday's 5-3 win over the Nationals.

The Mets closer actually put the first two batters he faced aboard, plunking Victor Robles with his first pitch before giving up a single to Yan Gomes, but Diaz was able to escape the jam. He has yet to blow a save this season, and his 2.04 ERA and 26:5 K:BB through 17.2 innings remain elite figures.

Suarez was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento on Monday, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

As expected, Suarez was promoted prior to Monday's game, and he'll make his season debut in San Francisco's series opener against the Braves. He's accrued a 6.33 ERA and 1.70 WHIP with a 21:10 K:BB across 27 innings at Triple-A this season.

Strop (hamstring) threw a 25-pitch bullpen session Monday, Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Strop was diagnosed with a Grade 2 hamstring strain May 8, though it appears he's trending in the right direction, as he was able to throw his first bullpen session since suffering the injury. He could advance to throwing against live hitters in the near future, assuming he feels fine following Monday's side session.

Arano (elbow) will receive a second opinion from Dr. Neal ElAttrache, Meghan Montemurro of The Athletic reports.

Arano has been sidelined since April 20 with an elbow issue. The right-hander apparently felt renewed discomfort during a recent bullpen session, prompting the Phillies to send him for further evaluation. It remains to be seen how this setback will affect Arano's return date, but an updated timeline for his return will hopefully come into focus following his visit with Dr. ElAttrache.

Santiago had his contract selected from Triple-A Syracuse on Monday, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Santiago will replace Seth Lugo (shoulder) -- who was placed on the injured list Monday -- on the 25-man roster, while Jed Lowrie (hamstring) was shifted to the 60-day IL to free up a spot on the 40-man. The veteran right-hander has worked primarily as a starter in the minors this season, compiling a 3.35 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 38:23 K:BB in 43 innings with Syracuse (eight starts, one relief appearance), so he'll likely fill a long-relief role during his time with the big club.
