Jackson allowed one run on two hits and a walk and blew the save against the Brewers on Saturday.

The walk was intentional, but Jackson also hit a batter. He was fortunate to only give up one run, as the Brewers had the bases loaded with one out in the ninth, but Jackson had already blown the lead. He is 6-for-9 in save attempts and has blown two of his last six opportunities, but Atlanta doesn't really seem to have many other options for the closer role. He also has a 2.31 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 30 strikeouts in 23.1 innings this season.

Hudson (3-3) earned the win against the Rangers on Saturday by allowing two runs on five hits over six innings. He struck out five and walked two.

Hudson's only hiccup of the day came during the fifth inning, when the Rangers scratched across two runs with a single, double and walk. The 24-year-old has now delivered a quality start in three of his last four outings after failing to achieve one through his first six starts of the year. Hudson has a 4.40 ERA, 1.70 WHIP and 36:22 K:BB and lines up to face the Braves next weekend.

Manager Bruce Bochy confirmed Pomeranz (lat) will come off the injured list to start Sunday's series finale at Arizona, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Pomeranz has been on the IL with the left lat strain for just over the 10-day minimum and did not require a minor-league rehab assignment. The 30-year-old was lit up for seven runs -- including three homers -- over 1.2 innings during his last start before landing on the IL.

Wingenter (shoulder) threw a simulated inning Saturday, Bill Center of MLB.com reports.

Wingenter has been on the shelf for just shy of two weeks with a right shoulder strain. His return date remains unclear, but Monday appears to be a potential target.

Weigel was promoted to Triple-A Gwinnett on Saturday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Weigel opened the year with Double-A Mississippi, recording a 1.72 ERA in 15.2 innings. This won't be his first taste of Triple-A, as he started eight games for Gwinnett in 2017 before undergoing Tommy John surgery.

Rainey was recalled from Triple-A Fresno on Saturday.

Rainey will take the bullpen spot which had belonged to Justin Miller (shoulder), who was placed on the injured list in a corresponding move. Rainey was hit hard in his big-league debut for the Reds last season, posting a 24.43 ERA and a 7:12 K:BB in seven innings.

Sewald was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse on Saturday, Matt Ehalt of Yahoo! Sports reports.

Sewald's latest stay on the big-league roster lasted just a single day. He gave up one run in two innings of relief work Friday against the Marlins. Steven Matz (forearm) returns from the injured list in a corresponding move.

Nelson (shoulder) threw 5.2 scoreless innings in his rehab start Friday for Triple-A San Antonio. He gave up three hits and one walk while striking out eight.

This was Nelson's best rehab start, as he threw 54 of his 86 pitches for strikes. He has a 3.77 ERA and 1.12 WHIP with 16 strikeouts through 14.1 innings in three rehab outings in the Pacific Coast League. Nelson will make one more rehab start at Triple-A, per Greg Luca of the San Antonio Express News. If that start goes well, he could join the big-league rotation before the end of May.

Grace coughed up four runs on four hits -- including two home runs -- and a walk in an inning of work during Friday's loss to the Cubs.

The Nats were already down 10-4 when Grace came out of the bullpen for the ninth inning, but he made sure they had no hope of coming back. The southpaw entered May with a 4.97 ERA, but things have gotten a lot worse since then -- he's been tagged for 12 runs and four homers in his last five appearances, leaving him with an 8.55 ERA and 1.85 WHIP through 20 innings on the year. Washington's bullpen as a whole has been awful in 2019, and wholesale changes could be coming, but Grace's current form makes him one of the more likely relievers to lose his spot.

Mayers (lat) is set to begin a throwing program early next week, Dave Sessions of MLB.com reports.

The right-handed reliever hit the injured list April 16 after exiting an appearance against the Brewers the night prior with discomfort. Mayers was originally projected to miss significant time and has already been sidelined just over a month, but the fact he'll begin throwing in a matter of days is an indication his recovery may be starting to ramp up.
