After the game, skipper Mickey Callaway explained that he won't be using Diaz to record more than three outs in a contest during the regular season, and that the right-hander won't pitch in a tie game on the road in an effort to manage his innings, per Anthony DiComo of MLB.com. While it may be possible that Diaz is asked to toss more than one frame later down the road in a postseason game, the organization intends to practice bullpen management. The 25-year-old has looked sharp through eight appearances in 2019 and owns a 1.35 ERA with six saves and 13 strikeouts over 6.2 innings.

Hudson gave up six runs on eight hits with three walks while striking out three through 3.2 innings in a no-decision against the Brewers on Monday.

Hudson was knocked around Monday, giving up two home runs and eight hits through only 3.2 innings. The 24-year-old has not been able to make it through five innings in any of his starts this season and now has a bloated 6.08 ERA. Hudson will look to get back on track Sunday against the Mets.

Richards (0-2) took the loss against the Cubs on Monday, giving up five earned runs on four hits over 4.2 innings, striking out three and walking four as the Marlins fell 7-2.

Richards had given up just four earned over his first three starts, but he was unable to keep it rolling against the Cubs, as he was chased from this contest after laboring for 96 pitches in 4.2 innings. His early-season control issues surfaced again, as Richards has now issued 14 free passes in 22.2 innings. The right-hander will look to bounce back in his next start, which will see him head home to take on the Nationals on Sunday.

Mayers was removed from Monday's game against Milwaukee due to an undisclosed injury, FOX Sports Midwest reports. He allowed three runs on two hits and two walks while striking out one over 0.2 innings prior to exiting.

Mayers never looked comfortable on the mound, and it resulted in a disastrous outing before he was lifted with an apparent injury in the sixth inning. He'll be considered day-to-day until the extent of the issue is determined.

Almonte was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday, Kyle Newman of The Denver Post reports.

Almonte tossed 1.2 scoreless frames in his last appearance Friday against the Giants, but he'll head to Triple-A along with Yonathan Daza following this latest announcement. In corresponding moves, Drew Butera and Noel Cuevas were promoted to the big-league team.

Gallegos was optioned to Triple-A Memphis on Monday.

Gallegos made two appearances during his time with the Cardinals, allowing one run while striking out four batters in 1.2 innings of work. The right-hander will be a candidate to rejoin the big-league bullpen down the line when a fresh arm is needed.

Robertson was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday with right elbow soreness, Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

This comes as a bit of a surprise, as Robertson fired a pair of scoreless innings in Sunday's win over the Marlins. The severity of the issue remains unclear; the 34-year-old doesn't seem overly worried at the moment but is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Tuesday, according to Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer. Drew Anderson was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley to take Robertson's place in the bullpen, while Seranthony Dominguez and Hector Neris are candidates to get save opportunities while the veteran right-hander is on the shelf.

The 28-year-old has been very impressive in his first taste of the majors, posting a 1.17 ERA and eye-popping 16:2 K:BB through 7.2 innings. Anderson is still being restricted to low-leverage spots -- he was the sixth reliever Don Mattingly turned to in Sunday's 14-inning affair -- but the unheralded right-hander is averaging 95.5 mph with his fastball, and if he keeps blowing hitters away, he'll gain a more prominent role in the Miami bullpen quickly.

The right-hander has been solid for the Marlins so far, posting a 0.96 ERA and 9:4 K:BB through 9.1 innings over eight appearances. Kinley is still in a low-leverage role -- he has just one hold -- which makes him difficult to roster even in deep NL-only formats, but if he remains effective he could work his way into Miami's set-up crew.

Jackson gave up two hits and struck out one in two-thirds of an inning during Sunday's win over the Mets.

After Johnny Venters gave up two hits with one out in the eighth inning, Jackson entered the game and allowed both inherited runners to score. The right-hander did extend his own scoreless streak to seven appearances and 7.1 innings, however, and Jackson's 12:2 K:BB over that stretch has made him one of Atlanta's more reliable middle-relief options. His low-leverage role limits his fantasy upside -- he has just one win and one hold -- but in deep NL-only formats, he could have some marginal value if he keeps racking up Ks.
