Mets' Edwin Diaz: Collects 14th save

Diaz earned the save against the Rockies on Friday, striking out one batter in a perfect ninth inning.

Diaz was brought in for the save opportunity after Francisco Lindor (toe) gave the Mets a two-run lead in the ninth. Diaz needed 13 pitches to get through the first two batters but just two to get Kyle Farmer to line out and secure the win. Diaz has converted 14 of 15 save opportunities this season and has a 2.39 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 40:11 K:BB across 26.1 innings.

The 34-year-old right-hander has been stellar overall in 2025, notching a 1.91 ERA, 0.74 WHIP and 30:8 K:BB over 28.1 innings. Dodgers' Ryan Loutos: Dropped from 40-man

The Dodgers designated Loutos for assignment Friday, Kirsten Watson of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports.

Loutos has given up five earned runs in three major-league innings this season, and he'll now end up as the roster casualty necessary to make room for Chris Stratton. Despite his big-league struggles, Loutos owns a 2.41 ERA across 18.2 total innings in Triple-A, so there could be a few other clubs out there willing to add the 26-year-old to their 40-man.

The Diamondbacks optioned Henry to Triple-A Reno on Friday.

Agnos has rejoined the team ahead of its three-game homestand against the Mets after going on the bereavement list earlier this week. The closer has logged a 1.50 ERA and 0.83 WHIP in 18 innings this season.

  • Braves' Daysbel Hernandez: On IL with forearm injury

Atlanta placed Hernandez on the 15-day injured list Friday, retroactive to June 5, with right forearm inflammation.

Hernandez exited Wednesday's game due to numbness in his right pinky, but he's been added to the injured list with a forearm injury. Hernandez has been a dependable option out of the bullpen this season, posting a 2.22 ERA and 1.40 WHIP across 24.1 innings. Dylan Dodd was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett in a corresponding move.

    Braves' Dylan Dodd: Joining Atlanta

Atlanta recalled Dodd from Triple-A Gwinnett on Friday.

Dodd has bounced back and forth between the majors and Triple-A, and he'll join the big-league bullpen Friday. Dodd hasn't allowed a run in 1.2 innings with Atlanta this season, but he owns a 5.40 ERA across 18.1 innings with Gwinnett.

  • Ryan Rolison RP | CHC

Rockies' Ryan Rolison: Working as opener Friday

Rolison will open Friday's game against the Mets, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Rolison will make his first big-league start Friday, but he'll likely only pitch an inning or two before handing the ball off to Antonio Senzatela. In seven appearances this season, Rolison has a 4.50 ERA spanning 10 innings.

  • Craig Kimbrel RP | NYM

Braves' Craig Kimbrel: Call-up made official

Atlanta selected Kimbrel's contract from Triple-A Gwinnett on Friday.

Kimbrel is set for his 2025 MLB debut, joining Atlanta's bullpen after logging a 2.45 ERA in 14.2 innings with Gwinnett this season. His role within the bullpen is unclear, but the 37-year-old will look to reclaim his previous form after logging a 5.33 ERA in 2024 with Baltimore.
