  • Ryan Walker RP | SF

Giants' Ryan Walker: Earns save Sunday

Walker struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Athletics.

This was Walker's third consecutive scoreless inning since his blown save versus the Twins on May 11. The right-hander got through his outing Sunday on a tidy seven pitches (six strikes) to earn his eighth save in 10 chances this season. Walker also has a hold, but he's been less dominant in 2025 than he was in 2024, posting a 5.29 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 16:7 K:BB over his first 17 innings this year. Walker's unsteady pitching has almost all been since April 20, which has opened the door for Camilo Doval to rejoin the closer conversation for the Giants, which has the ninth inning looking like a two-man committee for now.

  • Trevor Megill RP | MIL

Brewers' Trevor Megill: Tallies sixth save

Megill collected the save in Sunday's 5-2 win against the Twins, pitching a clean inning with two strikeouts.

The Milwaukee right-hander showed no signs of trouble in this 14-pitch outing, firing 11 strikes to smoothly collect his 27th career save. Megill is riding a streak of seven consecutive scoreless appearances, notching four saves with an 8:3 K:BB over six innings during that span. Through 13.1 total frames, the 31-year-old has pitched to a 2.70 ERA and 17:7 K:BB across 17 appearances.

  • Lou Trivino RP | PHI

Dodgers' Lou Trivino: Added to big-league roster

The Dodgers selected Trivino's contract from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday.

The right-hander will join the MLB roster just a week after inking a minor-league deal with the Dodgers since Kirby Yates (hamstring) is headed to the injured list. Trivino posted a 5.84 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 11:5 K:BB over 12.1 innings with San Francisco before being cut loose in early May and latching on with Los Angeles.

  • Kirby Yates RP | LAA

Dodgers' Kirby Yates: Moves to injured list

Yates (hamstring) was placed on the 15-day injured list Sunday.

Manager Dave Roberts indicated after Saturday's loss to the Angels that he expected Yates to require a stint on the injured list, so it's not a surprise that he's been moved to the shelf. The right-hander is dealing with a Grade 1 strain of his right hamstring and will be eligible to be reinstated June 2, though there's no guarantee he'll be ready to be activated at that time.

  • Kevin Herget RP | NYM

Braves' Kevin Herget: Claimed off waivers

Atlanta claimed Herget off waivers from the Mets on Sunday and optioned him to Triple-A Gwinnett.

The Mets designated Herget for assignment Thursday, and the veteran reliever will get a fresh start with Atlanta. Herget yielded one run in two innings during his lone MLB appearance in 2025, and he logged a 2.87 ERA in 15.2 innings for Triple-A Syracuse.

  • Diamondbacks' Justin Martinez: Continuing rehab at Triple-A

Martinez (shoulder) is scheduled to throw an inning for Triple-A Reno on Tuesday as part of his rehab assignment, Jody Jackson of Bally Sports Arizona reports.

Martinez is working his way back from right shoulder inflammation and is nearing a return. A report Sunday indicated he'd rejoin the team either for the start of a series against the Dodgers on Monday or for a weekend set against St. Louis beginning Friday. With Martinez throwing an inning for Reno on Tuesday, it's expected he'll rejoin the big-league club ahead of its series against the Cardinals.

  • Jose Ruiz RP | TEX

Phillies' Jose Ruiz: Activated from IL

The Phillies reinstated Ruiz (neck) from the 15-day injured list Sunday.

Ruiz has been on the injured list for the entirety of May due to neck spasms, but after throwing a pair of scoreless innings at Triple-A Lehigh Valley, he's been cleared to rejoin the big-league club. Prior to the injury, Ruiz posted a 4.76 ERA with an 11:6 K:BB across 11.1 innings. He'll take Jose Alvarado's (suspension) spot on the 26-man active roster.

  • Camilo Doval RP | NYY

Giants' Camilo Doval: Picks up win Saturday

Doval (3-1) earned the win in Saturday's 1-0 extra-inning victory over the Athletics, allowing one walk while striking out two across one scoreless inning.

Doval entered the game in the 10th inning, throwing eight of his 14 pitches for strikes and setting up the Giants' offense to secure the win. The 27-year-old hasn't surrendered a run in his last 17 appearances since April 7, yielding just three hits over 16.1 innings during that span. Doval owns a 1.25 ERA, 0.74 WHIP and a 19:8 K:BB with six holds, five saves and two blown saves across 21.2 innings in 23 appearances.

  • Jose Alvarado RP | PHI

Phillies' Jose Alvarado: Handed 80-game suspension

Major League Baseball suspended Alvarado for 80 games Sunday due to a positive test for a performance-enhancing substance, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Alvarado has been a central part of Philadelphia's bullpen this season, posting a 2.70 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 25:4 K:BB over 20 innings while successfully converting all seven of his save chances. His suspension will now take him out of action until mid-August, and Alvarado won't be eligible to pitch in the postseason. Jordan Romano had already started getting more frequent save chances of late, and he'll likely receive even more ninth-inning opportunities with Alvarado out.

  • Connor Thomas RP | MIL

Brewers' Connor Thomas: Transferred to 60-day IL

The Brewers transferred Thomas (elbow) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Sunday.

Thomas landed on the IL in early April due to arthritis in his left elbow. He received an injection later that month but isn't close to a return to action. Thomas has allowed 12 runs over 5.1 frames across two relief appearances during his time in the majors this season. His move to the 60-day IL cleared room for Easton McGee, whose contract was selected from Triple-A Nashville.
