Arias was optioned to Triple-A Jacksonville on Thursday.

Arias was recalled by Miami on Sunday and made two appearances since, allowing three earned runs across as many innings. He's already made six appearances out of the bullpen for the Marlins this season and has a 10.61 ERA and 9:5 K:BB over 9.1 innings.

Finnegan earned the save in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Phillies, allowing one hit in a scoreless ninth inning without recording a walk or strikeout.

The Nationals called Finnegan from the bullpen for the ninth inning to preserve a two-run lead. He retired the first two batters in six pitches and was able to work around a Johan Rojas two-out triple by getting Rafael Marchan to line out to center field. It was a nice outcome for Finnegan, who blew his last two saves after starting the season by converting on his first nine opportunities. His 10 saves are tied with Mason Miller for third most in the majors behind Robert Suarez (12) and Andres Munoz (11).

Slaten (0-2) was charged with the loss and a blown save in Thursday's 4-2 defeat to the Blue Jays, allowing three runs on three hits and one walk with no strikeouts in one inning.

One game after giving up the game-ending run, albeit one that was unearned in extra innings, Slaten's showing Thursday was far less excusable. The right-hander gave up a go-ahead three-run home run to Vladimir Guerrero in the eighth inning, taking his first blown save of the season. Slaten now holds a 5.56 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 9:5 K:BB over 11.1 innings this season, though he's been charged with an earned run in just two of his 13 outings.

Miller struck out one batter in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save against the Rangers on Thursday. He did not allow a hit or walk.

Miller came in for the ninth inning to preserve the Athletics' 3-0 lead. He took down the first two batters in five pitches before striking out Marcus Semien to close out Thursday's game. Miller is up to 10 saves in as many opportunities this season, which is tied with Kyle Finnegan for third most in the majors behind Robert Suarez (12) and Andres Munoz (11).

Patino (elbow) will make a rehab start with Single-A Lake Elsinore on Sunday.

Patino last pitched meaningful innings in the 2023 Dominican Winter League before undergoing Tommy John surgery early in the 2024 campaign. While he's made significant progress, he'll still need an extended rehab assignment before being activated from the injured list.

The Nationals are in agreement with Chafin on a major-league contract Thursday, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.

Chafin had been looking for a new home since the start of the season after being assigned to Triple-A Toledo by Detroit. The lefty had a poor spring training in which he allowed eight earned runs across six innings, which hindered his chances of making the roster. He will get an opportunity with the bullpen in Washington in hopes of building off of his 2024 season's 3.51 ERA. In a corresponding move, Colin Poche was designated for assignment.

An MRI on Swanson's right forearm came back negative Thursday, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Swanson will receive a second opinion, but the initial prognosis on his pitching arm is good. The reliever was diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome back in late March and had been slated to begin a rehab assignment earlier this week, but he had to be scratched due to renewed soreness. The next steps for Swanson should be revealed after he gets his second opinion.

Miller earned the save Thursday, delivering a perfect ninth inning with no strikeouts in a 4-2 win over the Mets.

With Justin Martinez (shoulder) joining A.J. Puk (elbow) on the injured list ahead of Thursday's game, Miller was called upon for the save chance and made quick work of the Mets, needing just eight pitches to close out the win. Miller has yet to allow an earned run in 13.2 innings this year while posting a stellar 0.59 WHIP with 15:4 K:BB. While Miller could be a solid source for saves in the absence of Martinez and Puk, it's worth noting that Kevin Ginkel was used in the eighth inning against the top of New York's order and is also likely to be in the closer mix.

The Dodgers transferred Treinen (forearm) to the 60-day injured list Thursday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Treinen went down with a right forearm sprain in mid-April and has yet to resume a throwing program. He now isn't eligible to return until mid-June, and there won't be a timetable for Treinen until he starts ramping up his throwing.

The Dodgers claimed Feyereisen off waivers from the Diamondbacks on Thursday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

It's a homecoming of sorts for Feyereisen, who posted an 8.18 ERA and 9:5 K:BB over 11 innings with the Dodgers last season. The righty allowed three runs (two earned) over two frames with the Diamondbacks earlier this season before they placed him on waivers. Feyereisen will go to Triple-A Oklahoma City for now.
