Kopech earned a hold against the Brewers on Monday, walking one batter and striking out two in a scoreless inning.

Kopech handled the eighth frame and worked around a two-out walk to keep Milwaukee off the scoreboard. He earned his fourth hold in six appearances since joining the Dodgers on July 29. Kopech has yet to allow a run over 6.1 innings with his new team, and he's surrendered just one hit while posting a 10:1 K:BB. The righty reliever has quickly become Los Angeles' top setup man, but it's unclear if he'll get any save opportunities after working as the White Sox's closer for most of the season prior to being dealt.

Rogers (1-4) allowed an unearned run on one hit and struck out one over one inning, taking the extra-inning loss Monday versus Atlanta.

Rogers gave up the lone run of the game on a sacrifice fly in the 10th inning. He's been fairly steady since the start of July, posting a 2.63 ERA over 13.2 innings in that span, just a touch worse than his 2.25 ERA for the year. He's added a 1.19 WHIP, 56:15 K:BB and five holds over 48 innings overall. While the Giants' bullpen has been restructured after Camilo Doval was demoted to Triple-A last week, Rogers is still unlikely to see much high-leverage work, with Ryan Walker just named the closer and Tyler Rogers and Jordan Hicks slotting in as the preferred setup men.

Sandlin (7-0) allowed a hit and a walk while striking out one over two-thirds of an inning to earn the win Monday over the Cubs.

Sandlin also took a blown save after allowing an inherited runner to score, but the Guardians regained the lead in the bottom of the eighth to make him the pitcher of record. This was Sandlin's first win in nearly a month. He's been a little shaky with a 4.40 ERA and 1.60 WHIP over 14.1 innings since the start of July. For the year, he's at a 3.80 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 52:19 K:BB with a save and six holds through 42.2 innings.

Clase struck out two in a perfect inning to earn the save in Monday's 9-8 win over the Cubs.

Clase had already pitched both Saturday and Sunday, but he made quick work of the Cubs, needing just 10 pitches to earn a save for the third day in a row. That's likely to make him unavailable Tuesday should a save chance arise, though Hunter Gaddis and Cade Smith will be fresh as two of the Guardians' relievers that didn't appear Monday. Clase is now 36-for-39 in save chances with a 0.65 ERA, 0.65 WHIP and 49:7 K:BB through 55.1 innings this season.

Atlanta recalled Herget from Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday.

The right-hander was optioned to Triple-A in late July but will rejoin the big club ahead of Tuesday's contest in San Francisco. Herget has made six appearances in the majors this season and has a 4.82 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 10:3 K:BB across 9.1 innings.

Atlanta optioned Logue to Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday.

Logue was with the big club for a few days but didn't make an appearance. His spot in the bullpen will be taken by Jimmy Herget, who was called up from Gwinnett.

Winckowski (3-1) gave up an unearned run and retired all three batters he faced en route to picking up a win Monday in the Red Sox's 5-4 extra-inning victory over the Rangers.

Winckowski was back in the bullpen two days after he was called upon to make a spot start in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Astros. He ended up serving as more of an opener for that contest, tossing 38 pitches over three innings of one-run ball before giving way to Brad Keller, who piggybacked him for four innings. Winckowski made quick work of the Rangers in his return to a relief role, inducing three groundouts to retire the side in the top of the 10th inning before the Red Sox broke through with two runs in the bottom of the frame. Given the light workload Monday, Winckowski could be a candidate to return to a starting role on three days' rest in Baltimore on Friday, when the Red Sox will require a replacement in the rotation for the injured James Paxton (calf). Cooper Criswell could end up serving as the longer-term replacement for Paxton, but he's currently on the COVID-19 injured list and may not be fully recovered from his illness to take the hill Friday.

Iglesias (2-1) picked up the win over the Giants on Monday, striking out four batters over two perfect innings in a 1-0 victory.

Chris Sale and Blake Snell put on a pitching clinic, striking out a combined 23 batters while allowing only five hits and zero runs between them, and the scoreless tie continued into the 10th inning before Atlanta managed to squeeze out a run on a Travis d'Arnaud sacrifice fly. Iglesias, who had entered the game in the ninth, then remained on the mound for the bottom of the 10th and nailed down the win. The veteran closer hasn't allowed an earned run since June 16, posting a minuscule 0.32 WHIP and dazzling 25:2 K:BB over his last 19 innings while collecting both his wins on the season and converting all six of his save chances.

Phillies manager Rob Thomson suggested Saturday that Turnbull (lat) is highly unlikely to fill a rotation spot once he's ready to return from the 15-day injured list, MLB.com reports. "It's going to be tough at this point," Thomson said when asked about bringing Turnbull back as a starter.

Turnbull had a productive six-start run for the Phillies to begin the season before shifting to the bullpen, but he moved back into the rotation in late June, when No. 5 starter Taijuan Walker landed on the shelf. His second stint in the rotation ended after just one start, as Turnbull was diagnosed with a right lat strain following his June 26 outing versus the Tigers. Given the long-term nature of the injury, Turnbull was always going to face an uphill battle making a full recovery and having enough time to get stretched back out for a starting role before the end of the season. After Turnbull experienced soreness during a recent bullpen session earlier this month, the Phillies seem to have now officially closed the door on the right-hander contributing as a starter. Thomson suggested that Turnbull isn't dealing with any major setback and is expected to get back on the mound later in the week following some extra rest as he prepares to fill a multi-inning relief role for the Phillies upon his return. The Phillies likely won't have a clear target date for Turnbulll to come off the IL until he begins a minor-league rehab assignment.

Keller elected free agency Tuesday, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.

Keller's tenure in the big leagues afforded him the ability to decline an option to Triple-A Worcester and elect free agency, and the veteran right-hander has exercised that right and will move on from the Red Sox. He holds a 5.30 ERA and 30:13 K:BB over 37.1 innings at the big-league level in 2024.
