Lynch (3-4) earned the win Tuesday, allowing five runs on six hits and two walks over five innings in an 11-10 victory over Detroit. He struck out three.

Lynch struggled with the long ball Tuesday, surrendering a two-run home run to Spencer Torkelson in the first inning and then being tagged again by Torkelson in the fifth for a three-run homer. Despite Torkelson's efforts, Lynch managed to pick up the victory, his third in five starts. During that stretch (29 innings), Lynch owns a 3.72 ERA and a 14:9 K:BB. He's tentatively scheduled for a road meeting against the Yankers for his next start.

Bradley (5-6) took the loss Tuesday at Texas after he struck out nine and gave up two runs on five hits and two walks over five innings.

Bradley entered Tuesday's contest having surrendered 16 runs across his past three starts, so his performance against the AL West-leading Rangers was an encouraging sight. The rookie right-hander gave up a solo homer to Marcus Semien in the third inning and continues to be hurt by the long ball with 12 home runs allowed through 14 starts. A matchup with the Orioles this weekend is likely next up for Bradley.

Sandoval (5-7) allowed a run on two hits and three walks while striking out seven over 7.1 innings, earning the win Tuesday over the Yankees.

Sandoval's control issues popped up again, but he was able to counter it by allowing little dangerous contact. The only run against him was Gleyber Torres' solo home run in the third inning. Sandoval gave up 12 runs (11 earned) over 15 innings across his last three starts before the All-Star break. He's now at a 4.16 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 77:39 K:BB through 93 innings over 17 starts this season. The southpaw is projected to make his next start on the road in Detroit.

Eovaldi (11-3) earned the win Tuesday versus the Rays after he allowed two hits and three walks over six shutout innings. He struck out two.

Eovaldi set a season low with just a pair of strikeouts and walked at least three batters for the third straight start, but he still produced his seventh scoreless outing of the year. The right-hander's command hasn't been great for the past month-plus with 20 walks issued across his past 43.1 frames, but he still has a 3.53 ERA and 1.15 WHIP during that stretch. He's tied for the major-league lead in wins with four other pitchers.

Brown (6-7) took the loss Tuesday, allowing four runs on six hits over 5.1 innings against the Rockies. He struck out seven.

Brown got into trouble quickly Tuesday, allowing a leadoff single to Jurickson Profar and then serving up back-to-back long balls to Kris Bryant and Ryan McMahon. However, the 24-year-old bounced back from the rough first inning and subsequently tossed 4.1 frames of one-run baseball. Though Brown has been a strong source of strikeouts (10.69 K/9) he's surrendered multiple home runs on four different occasions this season and has struggled over his last five outings (7.13 ERA in 24 innings). He'll look to get back on track in his next start, which is tentatively scheduled to come against the Athletics at Oakland Coliseum.

Skubal allowed seven runs on eight hits across four innings but did not factor into the decision Tuesday against the Royals. He walked one and struck out three.

Skubal had his first rough outing in three appearances so far this season. The lefty returned earlier this month following a long rehab from flexor tendon surgery. He pitched exactly four innings in each of his first two starts and didn't allow any runs, but it was a different story Tuesday. Some rust is to be expected from Skubal, and the most important thing is that he's able to head into 2024 fully healthy, so the Tigers will likely continue to carefully monitor his workload. Skubal is penciled in to start again Sunday against the Padres.

Allen (4-2) earned the win Tuesday, allowing just one hit and one walk over five scoreless innings in a 10-1 victory over Pittsburgh. He struck out eight.

It was an excellent showing from Allen after he posted mixed results in his first MLB stint this year. The rookie left-hander lowered his ERA to a solid 3.21 with a 1.37 WHIP and 71:25 K:BB through his first 13 starts (67.1 innings). Allen should see an extended look in Cleveland's rotation while Shane Bieber (elbow) and Cal Quantrill (shoulder) are sidelined. He's currently lined up to face the Phillies this weekend in his next outing.

Whitlock (elbow) played catch Monday, Mike Monaco of ESPN reports.

Whitlock reportedly felt "great" after throwing for the first time since he landed on the injured list July 4. He still has a long way to go in his rehab process, but it's a good sign to see him trending upward. Whitlock put up a 5.23 ERA and 1.32 WHIP through 51.2 frames before suffering a bone bruise in his right elbow.

Rucinski (knee/back) is set to undergo season-ending back surgery, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Rucinski was already on the 60-day injured list with a multitude of ailments including a left knee injury and he'll now see his 2023 campaign come to a premature ending. The right-hander will finish the season with a 9.00 ERA and 2.28 WHIP with six strikeouts over 18 innings in four starts with the Athletics.

Clevinger (biceps) is slated for a three-up, three-down bullpen session Wednesday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

It will come after a successful bullpen session Sunday during which Clevinger said it's the hardest he's throwing in a 'pen session since spring training. While it's unclear whether he will require a rehab assignment first, Clevinger appears to be trending in the right direction. He's been out since mid-June with right biceps inflammation.
