Williams (0-1) took the loss against Atlanta on Monday, allowing four runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out two batters over 6.1 innings.

Williams had given up just one long ball over his first two MLB starts covering 12.2 frames coming into Monday, but he was unable to continue that trend against a powerful Atlanta lineup. Michael Harris II was responsible for two of the homers off the rookie, with Marcell Ozuna launching the third, each of which was a solo shot. Williams still managed to give Cleveland decent length, and he's pitched at least 5.2 innings in each of his three starts so far. While his 12:6 K:BB over 19 frames to this point doesn't jump off the page, Williams has compiled a respectable 3.79 ERA and has pitched well enough to hold down a spot in the Guardians' rotation.

Wells allowed two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out four batters over six innings in a no-decision against the Yankees on Monday.

Wells kept the Yankees off the scoreboard for four frames before Anthony Volpe and Kyle Higashioka tagged him for back-to-back solo shots in the fifth. Wells finished off that inning and completed one more to pick up his second straight quality start, but the Yankees rallied late to take the win and hand the right-hander a no-decision. Though Wells has given up at least one long ball in five of his past seven starts, he's been reliable and effective overall during that stretch, going at least five innings in each of those appearances and compiling a 2.81 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 45:10 K:BB over 41.2 frames.

Woo allowed two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out seven over six innings, taking a no-decision in Monday's 6-5 win over the Giants.

Woo pitched well and completed six innings for the first time, earning his first quality start. The right-hander has allowed two runs or fewer in each of his last five starts, though he has just one win to show for it. He's at a 4.08 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 39:8 K:BB through 28.2 innings over six career starts. He's in line for one more start before the All-Star break, a weekend road outing versus the Astros.

German allowed three runs (two earned) on nine hits and no walks while striking out five batters over 4.1 innings in a no-decision against Baltimore on Monday.

In his first start since tossing the 24th perfect game in MLB history last Wednesday, German gave up a season-high nine hits. Only one of those (a double) went for extra bases, but the Orioles generated constant enough traffic to make German labor, and the right-hander exited with 86 pitches on his ledger following back-to-back Baltimore singles with one out in the fifth frame. Though the brilliance of German's perfecto will understandably linger for some time, fantasy managers should note that the hurler has otherwise struggled of late, failing to complete five innings in three of his past four starts and posting an 8.20 ERA (even including the perfect game) over 18.2 innings during that span.

Miller was placed on the 15-day injured list Monday with a right middle finger blister, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Miller had to depart his start last Friday against the Rays with the blister and had been looking iffy for his next scheduled outing. Given that, it makes sense to go ahead and put him on the IL with the All-Star break approaching. Miller will be eligible to return July 16 against the Tigers during the Mariners' first series of the second half.

Perez did not factor into the decision Monday, allowing six runs on six hits and two walks without recording a strikeout over 1.1 innings in a 12-11 loss to the Astros.

Perez needed 57 pitches to record just four outs Monday. He managed to work through traffic in the opening frame before the Astros cranked three home runs in the second inning, capped by Kyle Tucker's grand slam. The rough outing snapped a stretch of three consecutive quality starts for Perez. The veteran left-hander will look to get back on track in his next start, tentatively scheduled for this weekend in Washington.

Javier did not factor into the decision Monday, allowing eight runs on nine hits over 4.1 innings against the Rangers. He struck out four.

Javier has now allowed 18 runs over his last three starts, failing to make it through five innings in each. After pitching to a 2.90 ERA through his first 14 starts, Javier's ERA has ballooned to 4.34 with a 1.22 WHIP and 82:25 K:BB through 17 starts (91.1 innings) this season. The 26-year-old right-hander will try to right the ship in his next outing, tentatively lined up for this weekend against the Mariners.

Bielak will start for the Astros on Tuesday against the Rockies, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

The Astros will push J.P. France back a day and also give Framber Valdez (ankle) a little extra time. Bielak has posted a 4.37 ERA and 37:18 K:BB over 47.1 innings this season, making eight starts and one relief appearance. The Rockies away from Coors Field is about as good of a matchup as it gets, but Bielak still isn't a great streaming option.

McKenzie (elbow) will remain shut down for three more weeks, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

McKenzie has already been shut down for more than two weeks after being diagnosed with partially torn right UCL in mid-June. He will attempt to rehab the injury with rest, with the goal of starting a throwing program later this month and eventually returning late in the season. Of course, Tommy John surgery is always a possibility with this type of injury if rest and rehab doesn't do the trick.

Whitlock is expected to be placed on the 15-day injured list in the coming days, but his right elbow injury isn't considered serious, Sean McAdam of The Springfield Republican reports.

Whitlock had to be removed from Sunday's start against the Blue Jays due to tightness in his pitching elbow. While the results of an MRI have not yet been revealed, McAdam hears that the injury "is not being considered a major setback." Theoretically, Whitlock could miss only one start with the All-Star break coming up, although it's not clear at this point whether he will be ready to go when his 15 days are up or close to it. The good news is that it appears he's avoided a long-term injury.
