Cole did not factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing five runs on six hits and three walks over 5.0 innings in a 6-5 victory over the Orioles. He struck out two.

Cole tied his season high with five runs allowed while also setting a new low in strikeouts. The 32-year-old also gave up a pair of solo home runs, one to Cedric Mullins in the third and another to Gunnar Henderson in the fourth. marking his third time allowing multiple home runs in his last four starts. After finishing last season with the third-highest K/9 (11.5) in MLB, Cole has seen a significant drop in strikeouts in 2023, ranking 22nd with a 9.8 K/9. Regardless, Cole remains one of the league's top arms and has made up for his strikeout struggles in run prevention, owning a 2.53 ERA through 11 starts (67.2 innings).

Eovaldi (6-2) earned a complete-game win against the Pirates on Tuesday, allowing one run on six hits and a walk. He struck out five.

It's been an incredible run for Eovaldi. He's pitched eight or more innings in four of his last five outings while tallying seven straight quality starts. The 33-year-old Eovaldi's ERA is down to 2.60 with a 0.97 WHIP and 66:11 K:BB through a league-leading 69.1 innings. The right-hander has established himself as an elite fantasy option in his first season with the Rangers.

Bradley (3-1) took the loss Tuesday, allowing four runs on nine hits over 4.0 innings against the Blue Jays. He struck out seven.

It certainly could've been worse for Bradley. The rookie right-hander allowed nine hits but managed to hold Toronto to four runs thanks to his seven punchouts. Bradley has flashed high-end potential early in his MLB career, though he's yet to make it past six innings through five starts this year. Bradley's 4.44 ERA is underwhelming, though a 1.15 WHIP and an impressive 34:4 K:BB gives reason for optimism.

Rodriguez (4-4) allowed four runs (two earned) on eight hits across five innings to take the loss Tuesday against the Royals. He walked two and struck out nine.

For the second straight outing, Rodriguez allowed four total runs over five innings, and he took the loss in both contests. The lefty still has been good overall with a 2.19 ERA and 61 strikeouts across 61.2 innings, though he looks to be coming back to the pack a bit after a dominant stretch between mid-April and mid-May. Rodriguez is slated to take the mound again this weekend against the White Sox and will look to regain his sharper form.

Berrios (4-4) earned the win Tuesday, allowing one run on five hits and two walks over seven innings against Tampa Bay. He struck out five.

Berrios certainly got enough run support in Toronto's 20-1 victory. However, the 28-year-old right-hander was impressive as well, pitching through seven innings for the third time this season. Berrios has been solid of late, allowing eight runs over his last four outings (25.1 innings). Tuesday's performance lowered his ERA to 4.22 with a 1.28 WHIP and 57:14 K:BB through 59.2 innings this season.

Allen (1-2) took the loss Tuesday, allowing four runs (three runs) on seven hits and a walk over six innings against the White Sox. He struck out four.

Allen was cruising through his first six innings, allowing just one run on a Yasmani Grandal home run in the fifth. However, he surrendered three hits and a walk without recording an out in the seventh as he took his second loss of the season. It's been an up-and-down rookie campaign so far for Allen -- he's been hurt by hitters generating a .350 BABIP against him, though he's managed to maintain a solid 3.31 ERA with a 1.44 WHIP and 33:9 K:BB through six outings (37.2 innings).

Cease (3-3) earned the win Tuesday, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks over six innings in a 4-2 win over Cleveland. He struck out three.

It's Cease's first win since April 10, though he's now logged quality starts in three consecutive outings, allowing five runs in that span (18.1 innings). He's found success recently despite a decline in strikeout rate -- he hasn't recorded more than six punchouts in a start since April 5, sporting a sub-par 19 percent K-rate since the beginning of May. Overall, Cease has a 4.60 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 60:25 K:BB over 11 starts (58.2 innings) this season.

Maeda (triceps) threw another successful bullpen session Tuesday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

Maeda told Hayes that he hit 88 mph with his fastball and was encouraged by that radar reading as he prepares to embark on a rehab assignment. He'll throw one more bullpen session before meeting up with one of the Twins' minor-league affiliates next week. If all goes well from this point forward, Maeda could return to the rotation in early-to-mid June. He's been out since April 29 with a right triceps strain.

Mize (elbow/back) experienced lower back soreness following his latest throwing session, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

Mize will be shut down for a week before trying to ramp up again. He required Tommy John surgery last June and then a back procedure shortly after. It's unclear at this point whether the 26-year-old former top prospect is going to be a contributor at all for the Tigers in 2023 as he continues to encounter roadblocks in his recovery.

Skubal (elbow) is scheduled to throw live batting practice later this week, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

The live BP workout will be a significant step forward for Skubal, who has been limited to bullpen sessions over the last month. Nearing the end of his recovery from August 2022 flexor tendon surgery, the 26-year-old southpaw might be a consideration for the Tigers' rotation by the end of June.
