Javier (10-9) earned the win Tuesday in Tampa Bay, striking out six in five shutout innings while allowing a hit and four walks.

Javier held the Rays hitless through the first 4.2 innings, scattering three walks. He was removed after the fifth inning having thrown 90 pitches -- 54 strikes. It was his second straight scoreless outing and the 11th consecutive start in which he allowed three earned runs or fewer. He has a 1.86 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 58:15 K:BB in 49.1 innings since the beginning of August. His next start will likely be in the middle of next week against Arizona.

McClanahan was diagnosed with left neck tightness/spasms after leaving Tuesday's start against the Astros, Tricia Whitaker of Bally Sports Sun reports.

McClanahan appeared to be dealing with shoulder discomfort before he walked off the field with the training staff, but the initial diagnosis is a neck injury. The left-hander exited in line for the loss after he gave up five runs on five hits with four walks and three strikeouts over four innings. It's unclear whether the issue will affect McClanahan's availability for his next turn through the rotation, which tentatively lines up for Sunday versus the Blue Jays.

McClanahan was removed from Tuesday's start against the Astros with an apparent shoulder injury, Tricia Whitaker of Bally Sports Sun reports.

McClanahan showed some discomfort in his shoulder during the fifth inning of Tuesday's contest, and he exited after a brief visit from the training staff. The left-hander surrendered five runs on five hits with four walks and three strikeouts prior to leaving the game. It's a concerning development for the 25-year-old, who was making only his second start since returning from a three-week absence due to a shoulder impingement.

Gray was placed on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a right hamstring strain.

The veteran right-hander surrendered four earned runs over two frames before he exited Monday's start in Kansas City with the injury. Gray spent time on the shelf with a strain of the same hamstring early in the season, and he aggravated the issue in early September before he departed Monday's contest. He'll be eligible to return for the final game of the regular season Oct. 5, but with the Twins seven games back of a playoff spot, he's likely to be shut down for the year.

Civale (forearm) was activated from the 15-day injured list prior to his start Tuesday against the White Sox.

He has missed the whole month due to forearm inflammation and wasn't especially sharp in his lone rehab outing Sept. 15, in which he gave up four earned runs on seven hits while striking out five in 2.2 innings. Civale may not go deep enough to qualify for the win in this first start back unless he is efficient with his pitches.

Glasnow (elbow) could make his 2023 debut next week in Cleveland, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

If all goes well for Glasnow in Friday's rehab start for Triple-A Durham, his next appearance would likely come either Sept. 28 or Sept. 29 in Cleveland. Glasnow struck out four over two perfect innings in his most recent rehab appearance. The best-case scenario in standard fantasy leagues would probably be for Glasnow to follow an opener in his return to the majors so that he can realistically qualify for the win.

Crawford (shoulder) will not return this season, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.

This shoulder impingement will wipe out his entire month of September, but Crawford is remaining around the team. He will serve as rotation and/or bullpen depth in 2023 after logging a 5.47 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 77 strikeouts in 77.1 innings over 21 appearances in the majors as a rookie.

Seabold will be called up from Triple-A Worcester to start Wednesday's game in Cincinnati, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.

With Kutter Crawford (shoulder) shut down for the season, Seabold could make two or three starts before the end of the season, depending the health of the other starters and whether they go with a five- or six-man rotation. Seabold, 26, logged a 3.32 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 89 strikeouts in 86.2 innings at Triple-A.

German will start Saturday's game against the Red Sox and should stick in the rotation through the rest of the season, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.

With Frankie Montas (shoulder inflammation) on the 15-day injured list and questionable to return this season, German should operate as the fifth starter until further notice. He has a 1.84 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 18 strikeouts over his last 29.1 innings.

Montas was placed on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with right shoulder inflammation.

It was reported before the roster move that Montas recently received a cortisone shot and is hopeful to make one more start in the final week of the season. Under that best-case scenario, Montas would probably return to start one of three games in Texas during the first week of October. However, given that he last threw 3.1 innings Sept. 16, Montas may not be cleared to log enough innings to qualify for the win if he is able to make one more regular-season start. Domingo German should operate as the team's fifth starter for now.
