Eovaldi (shoulder/neck) will likely require a trip to the injured list, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Eovaldi was scratched from his scheduled start last Thursday due to soreness in his neck and shoulder area, and Josh Winckowski will take his place as the starter Tuesday against the Blue Jays. Although Eovaldi's scratch was initially considered precautionary, he hasn't responded to treatment as well as the team had hoped, and he'll require additional time to recover. If Winckowski performs well as Tuesday's starter, it's possible that he'll remain in the rotation until Eovaldi is ultimately cleared to return.

The White Sox announced that Kopech was removed in the first inning of his start Monday against the Royals with a sore left knee.

Kopech looked to be managing the injury during pregame warmups, as he was checked out by a trainer prior to opening pitch before getting the green light to make the start. In hindsight, the White Sox may have preferred to scratch Kopech, who showed diminished velocity and allowed all four hitters he faced to reach base before being lifted with the bases loaded after throwing 19 pitches. With reliever Jimmy Lambert allowing all three baserunners to score, Kopech was charged with four earned runs on one hit, two walks and a hit batsman. He'll be evaluated in the coming days before the White Sox determine if he's ready to make his next start, which is set to come Saturday at home versus the Diamondbacks.

Kopech was lifted midway through the first inning of his start Monday against the Royals due to an apparent injury he suffered while warming up prior to the game, Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.com reports.

Kopech failed to retire a batter in the 19-pitch outing, throwing only nine pitches for strikes while allowing four earned runs on one hit, two walks and a hit batsman. Official word on what prompted Kopech's early exit may not come until after the game, but the right-hander looked to be in some discomfort while warming up and was visited by a trainer on the mound before he ultimately tried to give it a go. In addition to his velocity being down during his brief start, Kopech struggled mightily to locate his pitches before manager Tony La Russa pulled him from the contest.

Kremer allowed a run on five hits and two walks with four strikeouts in 5.1 innings, taking a no-decision versus the Red Sox on Sunday.

The only run against Kremer was on an Enrique Hernandez RBI single in the second inning. The Orioles' bullpen couldn't keep the lead, denying Kremer the chance to pick up wins in consecutive starts for the first time this year. He's still been fairly sharp lately, allowing seven runs in his last 24.1 innings. For the season, he owns a 3.45 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 59:18 K:BB through 75.2 innings across a career-high 14 starts. The 26-year-old righty is projected for a tough road start in Houston next weekend.

Cortes allowed a run on three hits and a walk while striking out five in six innings during Sunday's win over the Blue Jays. He didn't factor into the decision.

Cortes' strikeout numbers have dropped since striking out 10 batters against the Mariners on Aug. 10, but he posted a third consecutive quality start Sunday. The southpaw was forced to settle for a no-decision during the low-scoring matchup, and he's yet to earn a win over four starts in August. Cortes has posted a 2.80 ERA and 0.85 WHIP in 35.1 innings since the All-Star break and tentatively lines up to make his next start on the road against Oakland on Saturday.

Manoah allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits and two walks while striking out eight in six innings during Sunday's loss to the Yankees. He didn't factor into the decision.

Manoah was in line for the loss when he exited Sunday's matchup, but he was able to settle for the no-decision since the Blue Jays tied the game in the top of the seventh inning. The right-hander has been less sharp than usual over his last five starts, posting a 4.50 ERA in 28 innings while picking up just one win over that stretch. He projects to make his next start at home against the Angels on Saturday.

Urquidy (12-4) yielded two runs on five hits and two walks over seven innings Sunday, striking out six and earning a win over Atlanta.

Urquidy coughed up a two-run shot to Matt Olson in the first inning before firing six scoreless frames. The 27-year-old has allowed fewer than three runs in five of his last six starts, posting a 2.52 ERA during that span. He lowered his season ERA to 3.63 alongside a 104:28 K:BB through 134 frames. Urquidy is projected to start at home against the Orioles next weekend.

Sears (5-0) earned the win Sunday, allowing one run on six hits and one walk over five innings in a 5-3 victory over the Mariners. He struck out three.

Sears was sharp again Sunday, allowing just one run to score, on a solo shot off the bat of Mitch Haniger in the third inning. The rookie needed just 79 pitches to complete five innings as he earned his second win with the A's and fifth on the season. While he sports a 1.93 ERA, his 4.54 xFIP entering Sunday suggests regression is likely to follow. He next lines up to face the Yankees this weekend.

Castillo (1-1) took the loss Sunday, allowing four runs on eight hits and one walk over five innings in a 5-3 loss against Oakland. He struck out five.

Oakland got to Castillo early as he surrendered runs in the first and second innings. The veteran never really found his groove as he allowed at least one hit in each inning and allowed a fourth run to score in the fifth. This was just the second start all season in which Castillo has allowed more than three runs to score. He will carry a 2.93 ERA into his next start, which is tentatively scheduled to be this weekend against the Guardians.

Ryan (9-6) took the loss Sunday against Texas, allowing two runs on two hits and three walks while striking out six in 6.1 innings.

Ryan retired the side in order in each of the first three innings but ran into trouble in the fourth when Marcus Semien put a 3-1 pitch into the seats for a solo homer. He held the Rangers scoreless over the next two innings and was removed with one out and a man on third in the seventh. It was the first time he pitched at least six innings in his last eight starts. He has a 4.15 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 25:6 K:BB in 21.2 innings over four outings in August. His next start will likely be at the end of next week against San Francisco.
