Ray didn't factor into the decision during Sunday's 2-0 loss to Boston, allowing three hits and one walk with four strikeouts in seven scoreless innings.

Ray and Boston starter Kutter Crawford engaged in an unlikely pitcher's duel, which prevented the reigning Cy Young winner from earning the victory despite posting a season-high 74 game score. The 30-year-old lefty has been mostly middling this season with an ERA stuck between 3.91 and 4.97 since April 13 but has been a workhorse, as his 76.2 innings rank third in MLB. Ray's slated to pitch again next weekend against the Angels.

Houck saved Sunday's 2-0 win against the Mariners, striking out one in a 1-2-3 ninth inning.

Houck needed just eight pitches to notch his second save in as many appearances and is primed to receive more opportunities ahead with fellow closer Hansel Robles blowing a save Saturday. The 25-year-old has fired 16 scoreless innings across his last eight appearances -- all in relief -- with 16 strikeouts and four walks in the span. Houck lowered his season ERA from 5.40 to 3.38 with the impressive stretch and should continue to see a high-leverage role in Boston's bullpen.

Taillon (7-1) allowed three runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out five in five innings to earn the win over the Cubs on Sunday.

Taillon failed to record a quality start for a second consecutive outing, but he got plenty of run support from the Yankees' offense in the 18-4 victory, and he picked up his third win in his last four starts. The right-hander has posted a 2.53 ERA in 32 innings over his last five outings but has given up seven runs in 12 innings over his last two starts. He projects to make his next start on the road against Toronto on Saturday.

Crawford didn't factor into the decision during Sunday's 2-0 victory over Seattle, allowing one hit and four walks with seven strikeouts in five scoreless innings.

Making his first start of the season and first appearance since May 13, Crawford took a no-hitter into the fifth inning. He was wildly effective as just 43 of 83 pitches went for strikes with an impressive 13 of the swinging variety in registering seven strikeouts, though the converse was the subpar four free passes. The 26-year-old is slated to start again next weekend against St. Louis and could remain part of the rotation if he continues to pitch like he did Sunday.

Quantrill (4-3) allowed a run on four hits and two walks while striking out four in six innings to earn the win over the Athletics on Sunday.

Quantrill continued his dominant stretch Sunday, as he's earned quality starts in seven of his last eight outings. In spite of his ability to limit runs, he's recorded over five strikeouts just once this season, and he has a lackluster 14.5 percent strikeout rate. The right-hander has a 3.38 ERA and 1.19 WHIP in 66.2 innings this year and tentatively lines up to make his next start on the road Saturday against the Dodgers.

Irvin (2-3) allowed five runs (four earned) on six hits and a walk while striking out three in 5.2 innings to take the loss in Sunday's game against the Guardians.

Irvin had one of his worst starts of the season Sunday, as he gave up three runs in the first inning prior to allowing two more runs to come across in the bottom of the sixth. In spite of Sunday's lackluster results, the southpaw has been relatively effective this year, posting a 3.34 ERA and 1.25 WHIP in 56.2 innings over his first 10 starts. Irvin has lasted at least five innings in every start to begin the year and tentatively lines up to make his next start at home Saturday against the Royals.

White Sox manager Tony La Russa confirmed that Lynn (knee) will be activated from the 60-day injured list to start Monday's game against the Tigers, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

The right-hander was initially trending toward a Tuesday return from the 60-day IL, but he'll be cleared to make his season debut a day earlier than expected, while Dylan Cease will start Tuesday. Lynn made three rehab starts over the last few weeks and posted a 9.00 ERA and 1.70 WHIP in 10 innings.

Kopech (knee) underwent an MRI on Sunday that didn't reveal any structural damage, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

Kopech exited Sunday's start against the Rangers due to right knee discomfort and said after the game that he has some fluid built up and is feeling sore. While it's not yet clear whether the right-hander will need to miss any additional time, he hasn't been ruled out for his next turn through the rotation, and his injury doesn't appear to be a particularly serious concern. If Kopech is cleared to make his next start, he projects to take the mound on the road against Houston on Sunday.

Cueto allowed three runs on six hits and a walk while striking out four in five innings of relief Sunday against Texas. He did not factor into the decision in the team's loss.

Cueto was scheduled to start Monday in Detroit but came on in the third inning after Michael Kopech left with a knee injury. He got off to a rocky start, allowing a single on his first pitch and a two-run homer to Eli White two pitches later. After another run scored in the fourth, he retired 10 of the last 11 batters he faced. The 36-year-old has amassed a 3.53 ERA and 1.21 WHIP across 35.2 innings in six appearances since joining Chicago in May. He's expected to make his next start next weekend in Houston.

Gray struck out 10 in six innings, allowing one run on three hits, three walks and a hit batsman in an 8-6 win Sunday against the White Sox. He did not factor into the decision

Gray allowed a two-out rally in the first inning to account for the only run against him. He did not allow another hit until the sixth inning. Gray has struck out at least 10 batters and allowed only one run in two of his last three starts. The 30-year-old has a 67:25 K:BB with five home runs allowed in 58 innings this year. His next start will likely be next weekend in Detroit.
