Faedo was slated to make another turn through the rotation Saturday, but he'll be unable to do so after the game was postponed. The game will be made up July 14, while Faedo will get an extra day of rest prior to starting in Sunday's series finale, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

Means (elbow) signed a two-year, $5.925 million deal with the Orioles on Saturday, avoiding arbitration for the next two seasons, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.

Means won't be pitching for the Orioles any time soon, as he underwent Tommy John surgery in late April, a procedure which will cost him all of this season and a fair portion of next year as well. The two-year agreement signed Saturday allows him to keep his focus on his rehab throughout this season and the following offseason.

Ober (groin) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Saturday, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Ober will start Sunday's game against the Royals, and he'll be activated by Minnesota a day before the outing. The right-hander has been sidelined since late April due to a right groin strain but has been pitching off a mound for several weeks. He recently made a rehab start at Triple-A St. Paul and allowed five runs (four earned) on four hits and no walks while striking out seven in five innings. Josh Winder (shoulder) was placed on the 15-day injured list as part of a series of roster moves.

Sale (ribs) threw a 15-pitch bullpen session Thursday, Steve Hewitt of the Boston Herald reports.

Sale resumed playing catch Monday, and Thursday's throwing session marked the first time he had pitched off a mound since suffering a setback in early May. After dealing with a non-baseball medical issue earlier in the month, the southpaw will shift his focus toward building back up now that he's been cleared to throw bullpens.

Gil will undergo Tommy John surgery Tuesday, Laura Albanese of Newsday reports.

Gil exited his start at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday with an elbow injury, and the issue is significant enough to require surgery. Prior to the 23-year-old's injury, he had posted a 7.89 ERA, 31:15 K:BB and 1.70 WHIP in 21.2 innings over six starts with the Triple-A club this year. The right-hander will be sidelined for the remainder of the 2022 season and should miss a significant portion of the 2023 campaign.

Ryu (1-0) picked up the win Friday, scattering six hits over six scoreless innings in a 2-1 victory over the Reds. He struck out three without walking a batter.

The veteran lefty delivered a masterclass in working out of trouble, as he got tagged for doubles in five straight innings but never gave up more than one hit in any frame. Ryu tossed 52 of 78 pitches for strikes in his longest outing -- and first quality start -- of the season, and he appears to be back in form after missing nearly a month with a forearm issue.

The Red Sox believe Hill was tipping his pitches during Thursday's start against the Mariners, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Hill put together a nice run to start the season, pitching to a 2.89 ERA over 28 innings as Boston's fifth starter, but the left-hander experienced adversity against Seattle on Thursday. He allowed five hits during a four-run second inning, including a three-run home run and two doubles, before exiting the game having thrown just 56 pitches. "We're looking. We always look," manager Alex Cora said. "It doesn't mean that if you get hit, you're tipping. But there's a few things we saw that we have to correct. Probably, he was doing it before when he was being successful. Just a few things that we noticed and we just have got to make adjustments." Hill will look to figure out his tipping issues ahead of his next start, which is expected to come Tuesday in Chicago against the White Sox.

Blackburn didn't factor into the decision during Friday's 4-2 win over the Angels, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks with five strikeouts in 4.2 innings.

Blackburn had trouble with the top of the Los Angeles order, putting on a season-high eight baserunners and ultimately falling one out short of his fifth win. The 28-year-old walked two batters for the second straight start after issuing three free passes total through his first six turns. A 2.29 FIP confirms Blackburn's 1.91 ERA, and he ranks 12th in MLB with both an 0.99 ERA and 4.86 K/BB. He lines up to face Seattle next week.

Javier (2-2) was saddled with the loss during Friday's 3-0 defeat at the hands of the Rangers, allowing one run on three hits and one walk with nine strikeouts in six innings.

Javier delivered his best start of 2022 with a 70 game score but it was spoiled by opposing starter Martin Perez's shutout. The 25-year-old posted season highs in innings (six), pitches (91) and strikeouts (nine) and rebounded nicely from a poor performance May 14 against Washington. Javier has been lights out with an 0.99 ERA when removing the Washington start and is making a strong bid to remain in the rotation once Jake Odorizzi returns from a leg injury. His next start is projected to come against Cleveland next week.
