Glasnow (elbow/ankle) has progressed to throwing from 90 feet, CJ Haddad of MLB.com reports.

Glasnow is recovering from both ankle and elbow surgeries, though he is feeling well in both regards. Glasnow is still a minimum of several months away from returning to a big-league mound, but it's a positive that his recovery from Tommy John surgery remains on track.

Springs will serve as the opener Thursday against the Mariners, radio broadcaster Steve Carney reports.

Springs has thrown seven scoreless innings to begin the season, though he has never pitched more than two frames in an appearance. He'll almost certainly be capped at a pair of innings in Thursday's start as a result. Jalen Beeks is a strong candidate to follow Springs in a bulk relief role, though that has not formally been announced by the team.

Winn had X-rays on his ankle come back negative after being struck by a comebacker during Tuesday's start against Salt Lake, Levi Weaver of The Athletic reports.

Winn allowed two runs on four hits with seven strikeouts and zero walks over 3.1 innings prior to exiting the contest. He's off to a strong start at Triple-A Round Rock this season with a 2.20 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 15:5 K:BB across 16.1 innings. He appears to have avoided a serious injury Tuesday, though his availability for his next turn through the rotation remains up in the air.

Montgomery struck out four in 5.2 innings while allowing two runs on four hits and two hit batsmen in a 5-2 victory Wednesday over Baltimore. He did not factor into the decision.

Montgomery cruised through the first five innings, allowing just three baserunners. In the sixth, he allowed a one-out, two-run homer to Anthony Santander and, after hitting the next batter, was replaced, having thrown 71 pitches. While he has not yet recorded a win, the southpaw has pitched well, compiling a 2.70 ERA and 1.00 WHIP in 20 innings. His next start will likely be early next week in Toronto.

Wells allowed two runs on three hits in five innings while striking out four in a 5-2 loss Wednesday against the Yankees. He did not factor into the decision.

Wells allowed a two-out, two-run homer to Giancarlo Stanton in the first inning and then retired 14 of the next 15 batters he faced. It was the longest major-league appearance of the 27-year-old's career. While his 5.54 ERA for the season is unsightly, he has been better since a poor first start. Over his last three appearances, Wells has a much more palatable 3.18 ERA to go along with a 1.15 WHIP. His next start will likely be early next week against Minnesota.

Cease allowed two earned runs on three hits and three walks while striking out nine across six innings Wednesday against the Royals. He did not factor into the decision.

Cease retired the first 13 batters he faced and did not allow a hit until the sixth inning. However, he did struggle a bit in his final frame, surrendering three hits and a walk while also throwing two wild pitches to account for his pair of earned runs. Nevertheless, it was a dominant outing for Cease, as he racked up 21 swinging strikes on 99 total pitches. He's now allowed two or fewer earned runs in three of his four appearances this season, which has translated to a 3.27 ERA and a 28:10 K:BB across 22 innings.

Jobe has started two games so far for Single-A Lakeland, logging three scoreless innings with four strikeouts.

The Tigers have started Jobe off slowly as they'd like to build him up and see if he can pitch into September, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports. The 19-year-old was the third overall pick in the 2021 first-year player draft and has ace upside, though he's still a few years away from the majors.

Gonzales had X-rays on his left wrist come back negative after leaving Wednesday's game against Tampa Bay, and he hopes to make his next scheduled start Monday at Houston, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

The 30-year-old escaped with a bruise after being struck on the wrist by a 109-mph liner during the first inning, though that doesn't necessary mean he'll be clear for his next turn through the rotation. Gonzales fell to 1-2 after taking the loss Wednesday, as he allowed a run on a hit with a strikeout and a walk in one-third of an inning. The left-hander's outlook should receive additional clarity as he continues to be evaluated over the next couple days.

Rasmussen (1-1) picked up the win after tossing six scoreless innings, surrendering two hits and walking one batter while striking out nine in the victory over the Mariners on Wednesday.

The 26-year-old put together his best outing of the season Wednesday, limiting the Rays to just three baserunners and only one extra-base knock while posting a season-high nine punchouts. Rasmussen had struggled to last very long in each of his prior three starts this season, tossing just 12 innings over those outings. The victory was his first of the year and his season long numbers now stand at a formidable 3.50 ERA and 1.00 WHIP over 18 innings.

Greinke allowed three earned runs on five hits and no walks while striking out four across six innings Wednesday against the White Sox. He did not factor into the decision.

Greinke allowed an earned run in each of the third, fourth and fifth innings, though he still managed to turn in a baseline quality start. He has been extremely reliant upon soft contact to begin the season, as he has only six total strikeouts across 22 innings. While Greinke's fortunes could change quickly as a result, he's maintained a 2.86 ERA and has allowed two or fewer earned runs in three of his four appearances to this point in the campaign.
