Javier (3-1) allowed five earned runs on four hits and four walks while striking out eight across 5.1 innings Saturday, taking the loss to the Blue Jays.

Javier served up multiple home runs for the first time this season. His five runs allowed Saturday matched his previous season total through 25.2 innings. The 24-year-old has a 7.13 ERA in 10.1 innings over his last two outings versus a 0.87 ERA in 20.2 innings over his first four starts. In addition, his eight strikeouts Saturday were a season high for him. His high-strikeouts totals are consistent though, supporting a 11.03 K/9. Javier will look to get back on track Thursday against Texas.

Lynch (0-1) allowed eight runs on seven hits and walked one over two-thirds of an inning in Saturday's loss to the White Sox.

The highly-regarded prospect had a nightmarish second outing, as he was unable to escape the first inning. It was a tough draw in his second career start, facing a White Sox lineup that is notorious for destroying left-handed pitching. Lynch had flashes of impressive pitching in Cleveland on Monday, hinting he can be the dominant lefty that the Royals expect him to be. He now has a 18.56 ERA and 3.00 WHIP.

Lynn (3-1) managed to go five innings Saturday, allowing no runs on one hit and four walks while striking out six to earn the win over Kansas City.

The righty was sharp Saturday in what ended up being a stress-free outing. The 33-year-old threw 51 of his 90 pitches for strikes as he struggled with command at times, but manager Tony La Russa gave him a higher pitch count than his previous start given that was his first appearance since returning from the IL. Lynn now has a 1.52 ERA and 0.98 WHIP on the year.

Cobb was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday with blister on his right middle finger. The move is retroactive to May 5.

The 33-year-old lined up to start Monday but will now be on the injured list until at least next weekend. It's unclear when the blister first surfaced, and Cobb pitched well during his last outing Tuesday with only two unearned runs given up across five frames. According to Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times, Jose Suarez could be in the mix to take the mound Monday after being scratched from his scheduled start at Triple-A on Saturday.

Kluber threw 5.2 innings Saturday against the Nationals, giving up two runs on six hits and three walks while striking out six. He did not factor into the decision.

Kluber allowed one run on a bases-loaded walk to Juan Soto in the third inning. He was pulled with two outs in the sixth after allowing the go-ahead run on an RBI single by Starlin Castro on his 101st pitch. The veteran was spared a loss when the Yankees tied the game in the bottom of the ninth and went on to win in extras. Kluber failed to finish the fifth inning in each of his first four starts of the year but has averaged 6.8 innings over his last three starts and now owns a 3.06 ERA on the season.

Cantillo was placed on the seven-day injured list with abdominal soreness Saturday.

Cantillo has been assigned to Double-A Akron to begin the minor-league season, but he hasn't yet made his 2021 debut. The severity of his injury isn't yet known.

Luzardo (finger) played light catch from 60 feet Saturday, Shayna Rubin of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Luzardo is still considered week-to-week, but he resumed throwing Saturday. He'll get an X-ray at the end of next week, and he could progress to mound work afterward if everything checks out well. Luzardo could return to game action by the end of the month if he remains on track in his recovery.

Sandoval pitched the final 3.1 innings of the game Friday to earn the save, allowing one earned run on two hits and two walks while striking out three in a win over the Dodgers.

It's his first save of the season. Sandoval's only run allowed came on a ninth-inning home run by Mookie Betts. The 24-year-old has worked multiple innings in two appearances since getting called up May 3.

Canning (3-2) allowed one earned run on six hits and three walks while striking out four across 5.2 innings, earning the win Friday against the Dodgers.

Canning struggled mightily through his first four appearances with a 8.40 ERA in 15 innings. In contrast, he has allowed just one run in 11 innings over his last two starts. The biggest difference is the long ball, in which he surrendered all six of his home runs this year in those first four appearances. He was pulled with two outs in the sixth inning, marking his deepest outing this season. The 25-year-old has a 5.19 ERA and 1.38 WHIP in 26 innings.

Hill held Oakland scoreless over six innings but did not factor in the decision Friday. He allowed two hits and two walks while striking out four.

The left-hander was at the top of his game, and Hill has dominated Oakland hitters this season, hurling a combined 12 innings and allowing only two runs while striking out 14. Unfortunately, he has an 0-1 record against the team to show for it. After registering an unsightly 8.82 ERA through his first four outings, Hill has turned things around by allowing only two earned runs across 15 innings covering his past three appearances. He'll look to keep rolling in his next start, which is tentatively scheduled to come against the Yankees at home next week.
