Faedo (forearm) was shut down for the remainder of the 2020 season, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Faedo is dealing with what general manager Al Avila dubbed a "slight" forearm strain, and with a little more than a month left in the abbreviated season, the Tigers opted to shut down the right-hander. The hope is that Faedo will be able to avoid surgery.

Lyles' scheduled start vs. the Athletics on Thursday was postponed, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports.

The two teams decided not to play Thursday's series finale in protest of the recent police shooting of Jacob Blake. The Rangers have yet to announce how they will adjust their rotation, leaving the right-hander in limbo with regards to his next start.

Bassitt's scheduled start against the Rangers on Thursday was postponed, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports.

The Blue Jays acquired Walker from the Mariners on Thursday in exchange for a minor-league player to be named later or cash considerations, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.

With the rebuilding Mariners sitting on a 12-19 record for the season and with Walker signed to an affordable one-year, $2 million deal, the right-hander was widely expected to be moved prior to the Aug. 31 trade deadline. The Mariners ultimately found a suitor in the Blue Jays, who were in serious need of another proven arm in the rotation after Matt Shoemaker (lat), Trent Thornton (elbow) and Nate Pearson (elbow) were all placed on the injured list in the last week and a half. Walker has bounced back well thus far from his April 2018 Tommy John surgery, posting a 4.00 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 25:8 K:BB through 27 innings over his five starts. He had been scheduled to start the first game of the Mariners' doubleheader Thursday versus the Padres, so Seattle will have to find a replacement for Walker on short notice.

Walker had been in line to start Wednesday before the contest was postponed. The Mariners will keep their six-man rotation in order and have Walker take the hill for the first game of the twin bill, while Yusei Kikuchi stays on turn to pitch in the second contest. Walker, who is a prime candidate to be dealt prior to the Aug. 31 trade deadline, has posted a 4.00 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 25:8 K:BB across 27 innings this season.

Cole (4-1) took the loss in Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader in Atlanta after surrendering five runs on five hits with nine strikeouts and two walks over five innings.

Leadoff man Ronald Acuna hit a 473-blast on Cole's sixth pitch of the game, and things didn't improve much the rest of the afternoon. Cole has a 3.51 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 53:8 K:BB over 41 innings.

Allard (0-3) allowed two runs on one hit and four walks while striking out five over 5.1 innings in a loss to the A's on Wednesday.

Allard was coming off two poor outings and manager Chris Woodward was contemplating turning elsewhere for Wednesday's start. The skipper gave the ball to Allard in the end and Allard was effectively wild -- just not effective enough to earn his first win of the season. Allard is missing bats at a decent clip and the estimators says he's been rather unlucky, but the team is bad, and he simply has not flashed the upside to warrant taking on the risk in mixed leagues. He lines up for a road start in Houston next week and potentially a second start at Seattle.

Keuchel (5-2) earned the win Wednesday against the Pirates after allowing two runs on four hits with seven strikeouts and three walks over six innings.

The left-hander remarkably managed not to throw a first-pitch strike to any of the 25 batters he faced, but he was still able to deliver a quality start. Keuchel is off to a fantastic start in 2020 with a 2.70 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 26:10 K:BB through 43.1 innings, and he'll look to keep things rolling Tuesday in Minnesota.

Berrios gave up three runs on seven hits and four walks while striking out six over 5.2 innings in a no-decision versus Cleveland on Wednesday.

The biggest hit against Berrios was a three-run blast from Jose Ramirez in the third inning. Wednesday was the second time in seven starts Berrios has allowed more than 10 baserunners. The righty has a 4.75 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 39:18 K:BB in 36 innings this season. He's expected to make his next start Monday versus the White Sox.
