Clevinger allowed two runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out six over six innings in a no-decision versus the Twins on Wednesday.

Clevinger was strong in his first start since Aug. 5 after he was punished for breaking safety protocols. The right-hander gave up a home run to Max Kepler and was generous with baserunners, but it didn't come back to hurt him. Clevinger still has a 1-1 record with a 3.18 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 21 strikeouts across 22.2 innings this season. He's expected to make his next start Tuesday in Kansas City.

Walker won't pitch as scheduled Wednesday against the Padres as the two teams agreed to postpone the game in protest of the recent police shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

The Brewers and Reds took the same course of action earlier in the evening, and the Mariners and Padres have elected to follow suit. It's unclear if/when the contest will be made up.

Morton (shoulder) will throw a simulated game Thursday, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Morton had a successful bullpen session Monday, and he's set to throw 25-to-30 pitches over two innings during a sim game Thursday. A timeline for the right-hander's return to the Rays' rotation still hasn't been established, but he's been making positive strides in his recovery so far.

Eovaldi (calf) will throw a bullpen session Thursday, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Eovaldi's scheduled start for Wednesday was pushed back due to cramping in his right calf, but he'll test things out by throwing Thursday. He'll be able to start Saturday's game against the Nationals if all goes well during his bullpen session. The right-hander has made six starts to begin the season, posting a 4.98 ERA and 33:6 K:BB over 34.1 innings.

Clevinger was recalled from the Indians' alternate training site ahead of his scheduled start Wednesday.

Clevinger will make his fourth start of 2020 against the Twins. The right-hander spent some time at the alternate training site after breaking safety protocols earlier in August, but he should be available out of the rotation going forward. Clevinger carries a 3.24 ERA and 1.32 WHIP over 16.2 innings across his three starts this year.

Giolito's next start will come Monday against the Twins, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

He could have pitched Sunday against the Royals on normal rest, but after throwing 101 pitches in Tuesday's no hitter against Pittsburgh and with the division rival Twins on tap next week, the White Sox will push him back a day. Giolito will now line up for two starts next week. Sunday's starter is to be determined.

Teheran pitched 4.2 innings in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against Houston, allowing three runs on four hits and no walks while striking out three. He did not factor in the decision.

Teheran was recently demoted to the bullpen, but he was called upon to make a spot start in Game 2 of the twin bill. The right-hander appeared to have his first victory of the year locked up after the Angels staked him to a 6-0 lead through the top half of the fifth inning, but the Astros responded with three runs off him in the bottom of the frame. That resulted in the decision to pull Teheran from the contest only one out shy of qualifying for the win. It remains to be seen whether Teheran will rejoin the rotation at any point this season, though he should be a top candidate for another spot start if the need arises.

Texas manager Chris Woodward would not commit to Allard starting Wednesday against Oakland, Sam Blum of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Allard has allowed 10 runs over the last 3.2 innings and didn't make it out of the first inning in his last start. When asked about Wednesday's starter, Woodward said, "we'll have to wait until after [Tuesday's] game, just to see where we stand pitching wise." That means if certain pitchers are not needed, there's a chance one of them could replace Allard. The most likely candidates are Wes Benjamin and Taylor Hearn, neither of whom pitched in Tuesday's loss to the Athletics.

Bielak (3-2) did not make it out of the first inning and took the loss in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Angels. He allowed four runs (three earned) on three hits and three walks in two-thirds of an inning in the 12-5 loss.

Bielak made the start on short rest, so the outcome isn't completely surprising. The rookie hurler managed to sidestep trouble earlier this season, when he walked 11 over the first 21.1 innings, but major-league hitters have caught up to him. Bielak's allowed 11 runs on eight hits (four home runs) and three walks over the last two innings. With off days coming up on the schedule, the Astros can avoid using Bielak until Sept. 5.

Glasnow (1-1) picked up the win Tuesday, allowing two runs on five hits and a walk over seven innings in a 4-2 victory over the Orioles. He struck out a season-high 13.

The right-hander settled down quickly after serving up a solo shot to Renato Nunez in the first inning, and Glasnow recorded his first quality start of the season in addition to his first win and first double-digit strikeout performance. He threw a whopping 72 of his 96 pitches for strikes in the dominant outing, and the 27-year-old seems to be righting the ship after a shaky beginning to 2020. Glasnow will carry a 5.14 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 48:14 K:BB through 28 innings into his next start Sunday in Miami.
