Eovaldi threw 66 pitches over four innings in his latest simulated game Tuesday, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.

The right-hander threw 44 of his 66 pitches for strikes. Four innings is the same amount he threw in his prior outing, though he may have thrown more inside (out of the view of reporters) Tuesday after his outdoor work was cut short by rain. In any case, it appears as though he'll be able to handle something close to a full workload in his first start of the year, which will likely come against the Orioles on Opening Day due to the absences of Chris Sale (elbow) and Eduardo Rodriguez (illness).

Houck was added to Boston's 60-man player pool Tuesday, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.

Houck is unlikely to break camp with the big-league squad but could certainly make his debut at some point this season. In 107.2 innings across the two highest levels of the minors last season, the 2017 first-round pick posted a respectable 4.01 ERA, though neither his 22.5 percent strikeout rate nor his 9.7 percent walk rate particularly impressed.

Glasnow clarified Tuesday that his late arrival to camp was in fact due to COVID-19, which he tested positive for during intake testing, Josh Tolentino of The Athletic reports.

Glasnow didn't arrive at camp until Tuesday but was already able to throw 49 pitches in a simulated game. He told reporters that he didn't experience much more than mild cold symptoms and was able to keep throwing while quarantined. He expects to be ready for the start of the season, though it's likely that he'll have a more limited workload than normal in his first outing or two.

Glasnow threw 49 pitches in a simulated game Tuesday, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Glasnow wasn't able to report to camp until Tuesday for undisclosed reasons, but it doesn't appear as though he's fallen behind while away from the team. He struck out four batters in his 3.1 innings of work, throwing 28 of his 49 pitches for strikes. If he ramps up by about 15 pitches per outing, he could be ready to throw approximately 80 pitches in his first start of the year.

The Red Sox will add Groome to their 60-man roster pool Tuesday, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.

Groome and fellow prospects Jeter Downs and Jarren Duran are all scheduled to report to the Red Sox's alternative training site in Pawtucket, suggesting none of the three are under serious consideration for the Opening Day roster. Instead, keeping Groome in the roster pool will mainly have the benefit of allowing the Red Sox to monitor his development more closely with no minor-league games being played in 2020. The 2016 first-round pick was limited to only a handful of appearances at the rookie-ball level in 2019 after he finished off a lengthy recovery from Tommy John surgery.

The Orioles added Kremer to their 60-man roster pool Tuesday, Jon Meoli of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Kremer will take the 60-man spot of infielder Richie Martin (wrist), who was placed on the 60-day injured list in a corresponding move. The Orioles will have Kremer report to their alternative summer-camp site in Bowie, so the right-handed pitcher doesn't look as though he'll warrant any serious consideration for the Opening Day roster. Kremer saw action at three minor-league levels in 2019, posting a 3.72 ERA and 1.30 WHIP across 113.2 innings.

Glasnow (undisclosed) was spotted on the field Tuesday at the Rays' summer camp workout, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Glasnow's appearance is his first at Rays camp since the team resumed training July 3. A reason behind his absence was never provided, but now that he's back with the team, Glasnow will have 10 days to get his arm conditioned for starting duty before the Rays begin their season July 24 versus the Blue Jays. While Glasnow is expected to serve as the team's No. 3 starter in 2020, his delayed arrival at camp could prompt the Rays to push him to the back of the rotation schedule or skip one of his turns entirely as he looks to build up his pitch count.

Lynn threw 107 pitches during Monday's intrasquad game, Sam Blum of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Lynn allowed five runs and had trouble getting out of the second inning. He chalked up the rocky outing to throwing pitches he might not otherwise throw because he wanted to work on creating groundballs. Lynn, the Rangers' Opening Day starter, will throw 85 pitches in his final summer camp outing.

Walker was consistently hitting 93 mph with his fastball during his two innings in Monday's intrasquad game, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.

The right-hander has a big year ahead of him after missing much of the last two seasons with injuries, and thus far, every step he's taken since spring training has been favorable. The latest was his pair of frames Monday, when Walker logged the first of what's slated to be three intrasquad game starts and allowed just an infield single and a walk while recording three strikeouts. Walker even got scalding hot teammate Kyle Lewis, who'd hit three home runs over the team's two prior intrasquad outings, to ground out, and after the game, the Mariners' projected No. 3 starter offered his thoughts of how the three-month-plus shutdown helped him further prepare for what he hopes will be a successful comeback campaign. "It gave my arm a chance to heal," Walker said. "Anytime you can do that, you should feel good and strong. And that's what I feel like right now. I feel really strong. I like where I'm at. Now it's just about building the innings and getting comfortable with the ups and downs. We're getting there."

Gonzales recorded four strikeouts over his two-inning appearance in Sunday's intrasquad game, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.

The Opening Day starter generated a mixed bag of a performance in his penultimate intrasquad start, allowing two runs on two hits and two walks over his pair of frames. Gonzales declared himself "as ready as I'm going to be" ahead of Opening Day after putting in steady work during the shutdown, and despite the unsteady line Sunday, he came away satisfied with his time on the mound. "A little bit of timing things here and there," he said. "Some kinks to work out. But, overall, it felt good with the fastball, and I located most of my pitches. It just felt good to compete again in a game-like situation."
