Keller (7-13) was charged with the loss against the Cardinals on Wednesday after allowing three runs on three hits and three walks while striking out five over six innings.

Keller had a no-hitter going until the seventh inning, when he allowed three consecutive singles, including a run-scoring hit by Matt Carpenter to give the Cardinals a 1-0 lead. He was then pulled with two runners on and no outs. Unfortunately, they both scored following his exit, and the Royals failed to make their way onto the scoreboard, leaving Keller with his fourth straight loss following a six-game winning streak. Keller leads the Kansas City staff with 158 innings pitched this season and has logged at least six innings or more in 17 of his 26 starts. The 24-year-old will carry a 4.10 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 117:65 K:BB into a road contest at Baltimore on Monday.

Gonzales gave up three runs on 11 hits and one walk while striking out six through six innings to take the loss against the Tigers on Wednesday.

This one looked ugly in the first three innings, as Gonzales allowed eight hits and three runs. Despite pitching to plenty of contact, the 27-year-old worked his way out of trouble to turn in a quality start. Gonzales has pitched at least six innings in 16 starts this season and has a 4.26 ERA with 116 strikeouts. Gonzales will make his next start Monday against the Rays at Tropicana Field.

Gibson allowed three earned runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out three across five innings Wednesday against the Brewers. He did not factor into the decision.

Gibson struggled with his control early, walking a batter in each of the first two frames and also throwing a wild pitch. While he allowed two of his three earned runs in his final three frames, the majority of the damage against him came on singles. Gibson has turned in consecutive short outings, lasting just 9.1 innings across his last two starts while surrendering eight earned runs and nine walks. Despite the bumpy patch, he maintains a respectable 4.28 ERA and 1.32 WHIP across 132.1 innings for the season. He'll look to get back on track in his next start, currently scheduled for Monday against the White Sox.

Bundy (5-13) allowed six runs on five hits with two walks and four strikeouts across 5.2 innings while taking a loss against the Yankees on Wednesday.

A little bit of everything hurt Bundy in this one, as the Yankees did hit a three-run homer but also came up with a couple key hits with runners in scoring position. This start aside, Bundy has been pitching better lately; however, he still only has one win since the All-Star break, along with 13 losses, a 5.25 ERA, a 1.34 WHIP and 122 strikeouts in 120 innings overall this season. Bundy will make his next start Tuesday at home against the Royals.

Bieber (12-5) allowed two earned runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out seven across six innings to take the loss Wednesday against the Red Sox.

Both of the runs Bieber allowed came in the third inning on back-to-back home runs. He was solid otherwise, and he ended the start on a strong note by retiring eight of the last nine batters he faced. Bieber has pitched exceptionally well across his last five starts, allowing only eight earned runs in 38 innings while racking up a 44:5 K:BB. He'll look to further improve his 3.27 ERA and 1.01 WHIP in his next start, currently scheduled for Tuesday at the Mets.

Miley allowed seven runs (three earned) on nine hits and one walk while striking out one across 3.1 innings Wednesday against the White Sox. He did not factor into the decision.

Miley got through the first inning unscathed, but things quickly went downhill from there. He allowed multiple runs to cross the plate in the second and third innings, though four of his seven runs were ultimately deemed unearned due to an error that allowed the leadoff hitter to reach base in the second frame. Miley had been in strong form prior to this start, allowing three or fewer earned runs while pitching 5.1 innings or more in eight consecutive outings. He'll look to bounce back in his next start, likely to come Tuesday against Detroit.

Allard (1-0) allowed three runs on four hits with three walks and five strikeouts across 5.2 innings to earn his first victory against the Blue Jays on Wednesday.

He fell an out short of a quality start, but he won his first career major-league game. Allard pitched well in his first start last week, but he settled for the no-decision partially because he didn't last five innings. Allard is 1-0 with a 4.50 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 12 strikeouts in 10 innings across two starts this season. He's more valuable in dynasty leagues, but Allard is worth keeping an eye on in all formats moving forward. He will face the Angels next at home Monday.

Cole (hamstring) said his injury is "not super serious," Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Cole was scratched from his scheduled start Tuesday due to right hamstring discomfort, but he received some good news after visiting with doctors Wednesday. While it doesn't sound like the issue will force the right-hander onto the injured list, it remains to be seen whether he'll be able to make his next start on schedule. Cole will see how his hamstring responds to rest and treatment in the coming days before the Astros determine when he'll get the ball next.

German will miss out on a two-start week with the Yankees deciding not to include him among their probable pitchers for the four-game weekend series with Cleveland, Lindsey Adler of The Athletic reports.

German won a fourth straight decision and claimed his MLB-leading 16th victory Tuesday against the Orioles, working seven frames and giving up two runs on five hits and one walk. Though the 27-year-old has been the team's most dependable starter this season, the Yankees are cognizant of managing his workload since he's already logged 120 innings between the majors and Triple-A Scranton-Wilkes Barre, well above the 93.1 frames he totaled in 2018. The impending return of CC Sabathia (knee) to the rotation this weekend help the Yankees meet that goal, as German now lines up to make his next start on six days' rest (Aug. 20 in Oakland).

McClanahan tossed five scoreless frames while working around two hits and a walk and striking out eight Friday in his debut for Double-A Montgomery.

The 2018 first-round pick earned a move up to the Southern League after submitting a 1.46 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and 59:8 K:BB across 49.1 innings with High-A Charlotte. Barring a catastrophic injury or a complete collapse in his first taste of Double-A, the 22-year-old lefty should head into 2019 as a consensus top-10 prospect within a robust Tampa Bay system.
