Manager Brad Ausmus indicated that Ramirez (elbow) may require two more rehab appearances before coming off the injured list, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Ramirez last pitched Sunday with High-A Inland Empire, which was his 10th rehab appearance as he works his way back from Tommy John surgery. The 30-year-old will slot into a bullpen role upon his activation.

Suarez will be called up from Triple-A Salt Lake to start Thursday's game against the Orioles, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Suarez joined the team in Los Angeles on Wednesday and will be activated after spending the minimum 10 days in the minors. The 21-year-old has a 5.51 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and 37:14 K:BB through his first seven major-league starts, and he'll have a favorable matchup to improve upon those numbers Thursday.

Suarez is in the Angels' clubhouse and may start Thursday's game versus the Orioles, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

The Angels have yet to officially name a starter, but Suarez is now with the team and is eligible to be recalled Thursday after spending 10 days in the minors. The 21-year-old has a 5.51 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and 37:14 K:BB through his first 32.2 major-league innings.

Verlander (13-4) recorded 11 strikeouts and allowed only one unearned run on two hits and two walks across six innings to earn the win Wednesday versus the A's.

Verlander fell behind early as Oakland took a 1-0 lead on one hit and two errors during the first inning, but the right-hander locked things down after that to help secure the victory. The 36-year-old entered the All-Star break having allowed four runs in three of his previous four starts, but he now has a 3.00 ERA, 0.78 WHIP and 30:4 K:BB in three second-half outings.

Morton (12-3) picked up the win in Wednesday's 3-2 victory over the Red Sox, giving up two runs on five hits over seven innings while striking out 11.

It's the fourth time this season Morton has fanned double-digit batters, with three of those performances coming in his last five starts. He'll take a 2.60 ERA and 163:41 K:BB through 131.1 innings into his next outing Tuesday, a road rematch with Boston.

Cortes was recalled by the Yankees on Wednesday.

Cortes has split time between Triple-A and the big leagues this season, recording a decent 4.34 ERA in 37.1 innings for the Yankees. Jonathan Holder was optioned in a corresponding move.

Bundy (5-11) picked up the win in Tuesday's 7-2 victory over the Diamondbacks, giving up two runs on four hits and three walks over six innings while striking out five.

The right-hander threw 61 of 94 pitches in his return to action from a sore knee, delivering his sixth quality start of the season in the process. Bundy will take a 5.14 ERA and 102:35 K:BB through 98 innings into his next outing Sunday, on the road against the Angels.

Milone (1-5) suffered the loss against Texas on Tuesday, tossing six innings and giving up six runs on nine hits and no walks while striking out five.

Milone surrendered a homer to Shin-Soo Choo leading off the game and was touched up for a pair of scores in the second inning and three more in the third, accounting for a season-high six runs. Although he settled down to limit Texas to one hit over his final three frames, the early damage proved too much for Seattle's offense to overcome. With the loss, Milone has now failed to record a win in 10 straight appearances dating back to May 27, though most of those outings have come as a bulk reliever. He'll likely make his next appearance -- either as a primary pitcher or traditional starter -- at home against Detroit on Sunday.

Boyd gave up two runs on five hits and two walks over six innings during Tuesday's 15-inning loss to the Phillies. He struck out eight and did not factor in the decision.

Boyd served up a 434-foot, two-run homer to Roman Quinn during the second inning, but that's all the Phillies were able to muster off the southpaw. The 28-year-old had surrendered at least four runs in each of his prior six starts, so Tuesday's outing was a welcome sight. Boyd will carry a 4.07 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 168:26 K:BB into Sunday's start at Seattle.

Chirinos surrendered two runs on six hits and zero walks over 5.2 innings during Tuesday's 5-4 loss to the Red Sox. He struck out five and did not factor in the decision.

Chirinos gave up two runs on three hits and a wild pitch in the first inning, but he settled in after that and allowed only three baserunners across the next four-plus frames. The 25-year-old has a 3.29 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 102:24 K:BB through 117.2 innings and lines up to face the Red Sox again on the road next week.
