Lance Lynn SP | STL
Rangers' Lance Lynn: Hurt by long ball in loss
Lynn (4-3) took the loss Friday, allowing three runs on six hits -- including three solo home runs -- and a walk over seven innings while striking out eight as the Rangers fell 3-0 to the Astros.
The right-hander attacked the zone, throwing 70 of 118 pitches for strikes, but got a little too much of the plate at times and couldn't afford any mistakes with Justin Verlander locked in for Houston. Lynn will take a 5.48 ERA and 44:17 K:BB through 47.2 innings into his next start Thursday in Kansas City.

The left-hander got plenty of run support from the offense, as he exited the ballgame with a 10-0 lead. Following a rough start to the 2019 campaign, Rodriguez has rebounded and now sports a 4.53 ERA with 46 strikeouts over 43.2 innings.

It's unclear as to what kind of injury Glasnow suffered, but he motioned to his team's dugout to be taken out of the contest during the sixth inning, which isn't a good sign.

James Paxton SP | BOS
Yankees' James Paxton: Playing catch Friday
Paxton (knee) will resume playing catch Friday, Lindsey Adler of The Athletic reports.
Paxton has been shut down from throwing since landing on the injured list and receiving a cortisone injection last Saturday. The 30-year-old is dealing with left knee inflammation and said he currently isn't experiencing any soreness. General manager Brian Cashman previously indicated Paxton would spend a maximum of three weeks on the IL, and his relatively quick return to throwing should keep him on track for that timetable, assuming he avoids a setback.
