Blake Snell SP | LAD
Rays' Blake Snell: Turns in another strong outing Tuesday
Snell (7-3) got the win Tuesday, allowing one run (unearned) on two hits and two walks while striking out seven over 5.2 innings against the Athletics.
Snell finished just an out shy of a quality start, as he had already reached 97 pitches and allowed a runner to third following a hit and wild pitch. The lefty was otherwise sharp once again Tuesday, notching his AL-leading seventh win (he's tied for first) while improving to 9.7 K/9. Snell boasts an impressive 2.56 ERA and 1.00 WHIP heading into his next start Sunday against the Mariners.

Kyle Gibson SP | BAL
Twins' Kyle Gibson: Strikes out eight over seven scoreless
Gibson struck out eight over seven scoreless innings against the Royals on Tuesday, allowing five hits and one walk in a no-decision.
Gibson threw his third scoreless outing of the season, but still hasn't managed to record a win in his last 10 starts. He's carrying a very respectable 3.57 ERA and 1.25 WHIP while holding opponents to a .222 batting average. The right-hander is sporting an excellent 9.4 K/9 (the best of his career by far) but he's also putting up a career-worst 4.0 BB/9. Gibson will look for a win in his next start against the Indians in a matchup at home.

Dylan Bundy SP | NYM
Orioles' Dylan Bundy: Takes loss in quality start
Bundy (3-7) gave up three runs on 11 hits and struck out four over six innings to take the loss against the Nationals on Tuesday. He did not issue a walk.
Bundy was hurt by the home run ball once again Tuesday -- giving up solo shots to Bryce Harper and Mark Reynolds -- but was otherwise able to limit the damage. The 25-year-old has allowed 10 runs on 20 hits over his last four outings (28 innings) since giving up seven without recording an out May 8, although he has still given up six homers in that stretch. Next up: a tough matchup Sunday against the Yankees in Baltimore.

Charlie Morton SP | ATL
Astros' Charlie Morton: Strikes out 10
Morton allowed three runs on eight hits while walking one over six innings Tuesday against the Yankees. He struck out 10 but did not factor into the decision.
Morton got off to a shaky start Tuesday, allowing a leadoff home run to Brett Gardner followed by another run in the second inning on three consecutive base knocks. He cleaned things up after that, with his only other earned run coming on an Aaron Judge fifth-inning solo shot. The 34-year-old hurler has recorded as many double-digit strikeout games this season (four) as he had in his previous 10 major-league seasons. He's seemingly morphed himself into a bonafide fantasy ace in the early going and will look to stay hot in his upcoming Sunday start against the hard-hitting Red Sox.

Lucas Giolito SP | SD
White Sox's Lucas Giolito: Struggles continue Tuesday
Giolito (3-6) took the loss against the Indians on Tuesday, allowing five runs on nine hits with three strikeouts over six innings. He did not walk a batter.
The effort represented a marked improvement over Giolito's 1.1-inning outing last week, but that's not saying much. The 23-year-old did not walk a batter for the first time this season -- he has a 30:37 K:BB over 55 innings -- but had trouble avoiding hard contact against Cleveland. Giolito lines up to start next Wednesday versus the Twins.

Yonny Chirinos SP | MIA
Rays' Yonny Chirinos: Mixed bag in Tuesday's rehab start
Chirinos (forearm) allowed four runs (three earned) on six hits over 2.2 innings in Triple-A Durham's loss to Rochester on Tuesday. He struck out six.
Chirinos faced a significant upgrade in competition Tuesday after making his first rehab start with High-A Charlotte last Thursday. The right-hander wasn't nearly as effective, working up to 47 pitches during the outing and allowing a three-run home run to Kennys Vargas with two out in the third that put an end to his night. Given the less-than-ideal results and the fact he's only worked 4.2 rehab innings overall thus far, Chirinos could be due for at least one more minor-league outing before being considered for activation.

Mike Clevinger RP | PIT
Indians' Mike Clevinger: Bounces back against White Sox
Clevinger (4-2) allowed one run on four hits and two walks while recording seven strikeouts over 6.2 innings to earn the win over the White Sox on Tuesday.
The only trouble for Clevinger came in the second inning as Daniel Palka hit a leadoff double and scored on a single by Tim Anderson. The 27-year-old continued his strong performance this season and now has a 3.14 ERA and 1.19 WHIP with 61 strikeouts across 71.2 innings. He is slated to face the Twins on Sunday.

Michael Kopech SP | LAD
White Sox's Michael Kopech: Posts second win
Kopech allowed two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out seven to earn his second win of the season for Triple-A Charlotte on Monday.
Kopech notched his fifth quality start of the season and second in the last three starts. Getting deep into games consistently remains elusive for the right-hander, whose control issues and high volume of strikeouts build up his pitch count early in games. He's pitched fewer than six innings in five out of 10 starts. The White Sox are not going to rush him and can give him another six weeks worth of starts to hone his control and get deep more consistently.

Carlos Rodon SP | NYY
White Sox's Carlos Rodon: No worse for wear Tuesday
Rodon (shoulder) allowed three hits and walked two while striking out eight over five scoreless innings for Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday.
Rodon took his turn in the rotation on schedule after he was drilled by a comebacker off the forehead in his previous start. The left-hander ran his pitch count to 86 (58 strikes), so he's stretched out enough if the White Sox choose to activate him for Sunday's game against the Brewers. The original plan was to give Rodon four rehabilitation outings, which means one more after Tuesday's start.

Paul Blackburn RP | NYY
Athletics' Paul Blackburn: Advances rehab to High-A
Blackburn (forearm) will make a rehab start with High-A Stockton on Thursday, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports.
Blackburn threw four innings at extended spring training Friday and will now officially kick off his minor-league rehab assignment in Stockton. The righty will likely require multiple rehab starts as he hasn't appeared in a major-league contest since August 2017.
