  • Luis Severino SP | ATH

Yankees' Luis Severino: Could still start Sunday's night game

Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader against the Tigers has been postponed, but Severino will pitch the scheduled night game if that game is not also postponed.

The first game is not happening, but the second game has not yet been ruled out. Severino will either pitch Sunday or Monday at home against the Marlins.

  • Corey Kluber SP | BOS

Indians' Corey Kluber: Start pushed to Tuesday

Kluber's scheduled start Sunday has been postponed. He will start Tuesday against the Twins in Puerto Rico.

The weather in Cleveland hasn't been cooperative, as Kluber had previously been in line to start Saturday and is now unable to take the mound in back-to-back days. Cleveland's off day Monday will mean that Kluber goes seven days between starts. He opposes Jake Odorizzi on Tuesday.

  • Marco Gonzales RP | TEX

Mariners' Marco Gonzales: Allows four earned runs

Gonzales allowed four earned runs on five hits while walking one and striking out five across 3.1 innings Saturday against the Athletics. He did not factor into the decision.

Gonzales managed to keep the ball in the yard and his team in the game, and he did have a nice K:BB ratio. The positives end there, however, as Gonzales had his second consecutive disastrous start in which he has combined to allow eight earned runs across just 5.2 innings. Despite once being a promising prospect, he has yet to deliver results at the major-league level and there's no reason to trust him at this time.

  • Charlie Morton SP | ATL

Astros' Charlie Morton: Done in by own bullpen

Morton allowed two runs on six hits and one walk while striking out 12 in Saturday's 6-5 extra-inning loss to Texas.

Morton deserved better than a no-decision. He gave up his first earned runs of the season, but left with a three-run lead after tying his career high in strikeouts and headed to a predictable win over the downtrodden Rangers, but then the bullpen happened. Brad Peacock's slider fooled no one, as the Rangers bashed two eighth-inning home runs to tie the game and prevented Morton from opening the season 3-0. Morton carries a 1.00 ERA into his next start Thursday on the road in Seattle.

  • Alex Cobb SP | DET

Orioles' Alex Cobb: Shelled in season debut Saturday

Cobb (0-1) was shelled for eight runs (seven earned) on 10 hits and a walk in just 3.2 innings in a loss to the Red Sox on Saturday.

This was the right-hander's first start of the season, and it really showed. Cobb fill up the zone, throwing nearly 70 percent of his pitches for strikes, but had trouble missing bats. He also was stung by the home-run ball, as both Hanley Ramirez and J.D. Martinez took him deep. Cobb held a career 3.50 ERA prior to this matchup, so he'll look to get back to his regular form in his next scheduled start Thursday in Detroit.

  • White Sox's Lucas Giolito: Start slides back to Saturday

Manager Rick Renteria said that Giolito will make his next start Saturday against the Astros, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Giolito was originally lined up to take on the Athletics on Tuesday, but the entire pitching schedule got shifted as a result of the weekend series with the Twins getting postponed. As a result, the young righty now lines up to face Dallas Keuchel in the second game of the series with Houston.

  • Lance Lynn SP | STL

Twins' Lance Lynn: Start postponed again

Lynn will not pitch Sunday as the game has already been postponed due to inclement weather.

Lynn was originally scheduled to start Saturday against the White Sox, but the game was postponed. The Twins were expected to shift all their starters back one day, but with Sunday's game already postponed, Lynn will next start Friday at Tampa Bay.

  • Corey Kluber SP | BOS

Indians' Corey Kluber: Saturday's start postponed

Kluber's start Saturday against the Blue Jays was postponed due to inclement weather, so he will take the hill Sunday instead, weather permitting.

The game will be made up on May 3. Kluber might be the best pitcher in the American League, sporting a 1.57 ERA with a 27:4 K:BB in 23 innings (three starts).

  • Alex Cobb SP | DET

Orioles' Alex Cobb: Officially called up

Cobb was recalled from Double-A Bowie on Saturday.

This was a formality, as it had already been announced that Cobb would make his Orioles debut Saturday opposite Boston's Hector Velazquez. Unsigned late into spring training, Cobb needed some extra time to ramp up his throwing. It will be interesting to see if he throws his curveball more and his changeup less this season as he did late in 2017 to notable success.

  • Lance Lynn SP | STL

Twins' Lance Lynn: Saturday's game postponed

Lynn will start Sunday against the White Sox after Saturday's scheduled outing was postponed due to inclement weather, Mike Berardino of The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

This marked the second straight postponement in the Twins-White Sox series, and there have been no rescheduled dates plugged in at this time. Manager Paul Molitor will just push each of his starters back a day, giving Lynn the ball for Sunday's series "finale" as long as that game doesn't get postponed as well.
