Tommy Milone SP | SEA
Twins' Tommy Milone: Can't finish five against Brewers
Milone finished an out short of completing five innings Wednesday in Milwaukee, allowing four runs on five hits and two walks while striking out six in a no-decision.
The Twins went on to lose after the bullpen surrendered another six runs. Milone has shown promise in the majors at times, but his record is pretty spotty overall and he generally allows too much contact to be very successful. He's been tagged for four runs in each of his three starts this season, a trend he'll try to end against the Indians on Monday.

Cole Hamels SP | SD
Rangers' Cole Hamels: Shuts down Astros for third win
Hamels (3-0) allowed one run on five hits and three walks over 6.2 innings Wednesday, striking out seven Astros in a 2-1 win.
Dating back to last season, Hamels has now won 10 consecutive decisions; in fact, he's only taken one loss in 16 starts as a Ranger. It's slightly concerning that he's seen an early spike in walks -- curiously, he's issued three in each of his victories this month -- but the veteran southpaw should get that in order soon, as he's never suffered from control problems in his career. Hamels' next start is scheduled for Monday against the Yankees.

Nathan Eovaldi SP | TEX
Yankees' Nathan Eovaldi: Strikes out seven in defeat
Eovaldi (0-2) struck out seven, but allowed three earned runs in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to Oakland.
The 26-year-old went 14-3 during his first season in pinstripes a year ago, but hasn't been able to get going yet in 2016. Despite being winless, he's helped fantasy owners with an excellent 22:3 K:BB. However, owners will certainly want his 6.11 ERA to start coming down quickly. Eovaldi has pitched with good stuff for the most part this season, he just hasn't received much run support from a struggling New York lineup.

Vance Worley SP | NYM
Orioles' Vance Worley: Available out of bullpen Wednesday, rotation spot hangs by a thread
Worley is available out of the bullpen Wednesday while Saturday's rotation spot remains TBA, MASN Sports reports.
Worley has made two starts, but the Orioles have some flexibility due to Sunday's rainout and Monday's off day. The Orioles could give Tyler Wilson a shot to start Saturday's game if the team elects to use Worley before then. Either way, Saturday's start figures to be a one shot deal if Kevin Gausman is ready to be activated early next week. That could not only threaten a rotation spot, but it may threaten a roster spot for either Worley or Wilson.

Lance McCullers SP | MIL
Astros' Lance McCullers: Set to throw bullpen Friday
McCullers (shoulder) came through Wednesday's bullpen session fine, and will throw another such session Friday, MLB.com's Brian McTaggart reports.
If all goes well in Friday's session, McCullers is expected to go back out on a rehab assignment. There have been some setbacks along the way, so owners will want to make sure not to look too far ahead with the hard-throwing righty. The Astros would obviously like to get him back in the rotation at some point, but he will be handled with extreme care.

Chris Sale SP | ATL
White Sox's Chris Sale: Wins fourth game of season against Angels
Sale (4-0) allowed one unearned run on two hits, struck out three and walked none in Wednesday's 2-1 victory over the Angels.
The White Sox's ace is simply at his best right now. He hasn't given up an earned run for 16 straight innings and has allowed just four base runners during that time. He also hasn't walked a hitter for 21 consecutive frames. Against the Angels, Sale only had eight swing-and-misses but did throw 76 of his 108 pitches for strikes. The left-hander will look to continue his dominance in his next start against the Blue Jays on Monday.

Kevin Gausman SP | CHC
Orioles' Kevin Gausman: Could join MLB rotation next week
Gausman (shoulder) is expected to start for the Orioles on Monday or Tuesday next week, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
Gausman made two appearances at High-A Frederick during his rehab and pitched 5.1 innings, giving up one run on four hits and two walks while striking out 10 batters. He's slated for a final tuneup start with Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday, so fantasy owners may want to check the results of that start to make sure he made it through without any setbacks. While nothing is official, the 25-year-old could make his 2016 MLB debut early next week against the Rays.

Drew Smyly SP | CHC
Rays' Drew Smyly: Carves up Red Sox with 11 strikeouts
Smyly (0-2) threw eight scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and two walks while striking out 11 against the Red Sox on Tuesday. He did not factor in the decision, however, as the game went into extra innings.
Smyly was in a pitching duel with Boston's bullpen after starter Joe Kelly left in the first inning with stiffness in his right shoulder. He struck out 11 for the second straight start -- tying his career high -- but was unable to capture that elusive first win of 2016. The 26-year-old has always displayed a knack for striking out hitters, but he has yet to stay healthy for an entire season. If Smyly can avoid the DL, he should be a top option in all formats.

Marcus Stroman SP | NYY
Blue Jays' Marcus Stroman: Moves to 3-0 with win over Orioles
Stroman (3-0) pitched seven innings, allowing three runs, six hits and one walk while striking out three in Tuesday's 4-3 victory against the Orioles.
The right-hander has now won eight straight decisions and 11 of 12 dating back to 2014. Stroman has yet to throw a dominant game, and the low strikeouts= total is not what most owners paid for on draft day. With all the hype around Jays' Ace, it's easy to forget that he missed practically the entire season last year and has logged less than 30 starts in his young career. As the year moves forward, expect Stroman to shed some rust and begin putting up the counting stats owners are hoping for.

Carlos Carrasco RP | ATL
Indians' Carlos Carrasco: Picks up win
Carrasco (2-0) allowed one run on four hits and three walks while striking out five over 6.1 innings to pick up the win Tuesday against the Mariners.
Carrasco kept the Mariners off the scoreboard until Kyle Seager blasted a solo homer in the sixth inning, and the bullpen took over to protect the lead to earn him the victory. After giving up four runs in his first start, he's now allowed only one run in each of his last two outings. He'll look to stay hot in his next start Sunday at the Tigers.
