As expected, the Indians have called up Carlos Carrasco to start Game 2 of Friday's doubleheader against the White Sox.
Carrasco and Trevor Bauer were called up, but one will likely be demoted after the games. The team is allowed to keep 26 players on their roster during doubleheaders. They'll have to get down to 25 before tomorrow's game.
In four starts in the majors, Carrasco has a 7.78 ERA.

Corey Kluber SP | BOS
Breaking balls sink Corey Kluber
Indians pitcher Corey Kluber had a rough start against the Orioles Thursday, and his manager thinks it's because he got away from his normal approach, according to MLB.com.
Manager Terry Francona said Kluber was aggressive with his fastball early, but stopped using it. "He started going more to the breaking ball and pitched away from the fastball a little bit. And he kind of paid the price for it. In this ballpark, with that lineup, that’s what can happen," Francona said. The numbers agree, as 20 of Kluber's 33 pitches in the fifth inning were breaking balls.
Kluber has a 4.16 ERA in 75 2/3 innings.

Jason Hammel solid in no-decision
Orioles starter Jason Hammel locked horns with Cleveland starter Scott Kazmir Wednesday night in Baltimore. Neither pitcher factored into the decision.

Hammel allowed just the two runs on four hits and two walks over seven solid innings. He struck out five and threw 108 pitches. His ERA is 5.09. Hammel has gone 0-2 over his last five starts and hasn't won since May 27 at Washington. His record remains 7-4 and he'll look to change that his next time out Tuesday at the White Sox.
