Cease (4-2) earned the win Friday against the Diamondbacks, allowing one run on three hits and no walks over 6.2 innings. He struck out eight.

Cease continued his brilliant start to the season, generating 18 whiffs on 102 pitches. The former White Sox pitcher appears to have re-discovered his 2022 form, posting a 2.55 ERA, 0.80 WHIP and 48:14 K:BB over 42.1 innings. Cease will look to keep rolling in his next start, scheduled to come against the Cubs in Chicago.

Cecconi (1-2) took the loss Friday against the Padres, yielding six runs on five hits and two walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out four.

Cecconi cruised through the San Diego lineup once, retiring the first nine batters in order. However, he floundered in the fourth inning, allowing four runs, two walks and three extra-base hits, including back-to-back homers to Fernando Tatis and Jake Cronenworth. Cecconi will look to bounce back in his next start, scheduled to come against Cincinnati on the road.

Weathers (2-3) took the loss Friday against the Athletics, allowing three runs on five hits and no walks over six innings. He struck out five.

Weathers collected his second quality start of the season. Most importantly, the Miami lefty exhibited better control, allowing no walks for the first time since a June 15, 2023 start against Cleveland as a member of the Padres. Weathers is scheduled to make his next start against the Dodgers on the road.

Gray (4-1) allowed three hits and a walk over seven scoreless innings Friday, striking out six and earning a win over the White Sox.

Gray allowed just one extra-base hit and retired the final eight batters he faced. He's been excellent since returning from a brief stint on the injured list to begin the year; Gray has given up three earned runs through 30.1 innings while producing a 38:5 K:BB. He's turned in four straight quality starts after throwing five shutout frames in his 2024 debut. Gray's next start is lined up to come at home against the Mets.

Greene did not factor into the decision Friday, allowing five hits and four walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out five.

Greene had to contend with some traffic Friday, though he'd ultimately make it through 5.2 innings unscathed. The right-hander fell an out shy of a quality start, though it's his second consecutive scoreless outing -- he blanked the Rangers over seven innings in his last start. Overall, Greene's 1-2 with a 3.12 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 47:16 K:BB through 40.1 innings. He's tentatively lined up for a home matchup with the Diamondbacks in his next start.

Quintana (1-3) took the loss Friday as the Mets were downed 10-8 by Tampa Bay, surrendering eight runs on 10 hits and a walk over 2.2 innings. He struck out two.

The veteran lefty managed to keep the ball in the park, but after a scoreless first inning, Quintana got pecked to death by a barrage of singles and doubles in his shortest outing of the season. The rough performance tacked more than a run onto his ERA, and Quintana will carry a 5.20 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 25:16 K:BB through 36.1 innings into his next start, which is scheduled to come on the road next week in St. Louis.

Nola did not factor into the decision Friday against the Giants, allowing two runs on four hits and four walks over four innings. He struck out four.

Both of the Giants' runs came in the second inning on a Thairo Estrada double, though the damage certainly could've been a lot worse -- Nola needed 46 pitches to get through the frame, issuing four walks. The right-hander was ultimately pulled after throwing 89 pitches. Nola, who'd gone eight innings in each of his previous two starts, is 4-1 on the season with a 3.32 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 40:15 K:BB across seven outings (43.1 innings). Nola's currently lined up for a road matchup with the Marlins in his next start.

Corbin came away with a no-decision in Friday's 9-3 win over the Blue Jays, giving up three runs on six hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out three.

Toronto jumped on Corbin for a three-spot in the second inning, but the veteran lefty settled down after that and kept his team in the game, and the offense responded by rallying for eight runs in the seventh and eighth. The quality start was Corbin's first of the season, and it was just the second time in seven outings that he allowed fewer than four runs. The 34-year-old's contract -- $35 million for 2024 in the final year of his deal -- has kept him in the Nats' rotation, but his 6.45 ERA, 1.81 WHIP and 25:15 K:BB through 37.2 innings don't belong on a fantasy roster. He lines up to make his next start on the road next weekend in Boston.

Hicks (2-1) took the loss Friday against the Phillies, allowing four runs (two earned) on four hits and four walks over four innings. He struck out three.

The Phillies scored three times off Hicks in the third inning before tacking on another run in the fourth, handing the right-hander his first loss of the year. While the four runs against Hicks were a season high, he's still yet to allow more than two earned runs through seven starts. Hicks still sports a stellar 1.89 ERA with a 1.03 WHIP and 30:14 K:BB across 38 innings. He'll look to get back in the win column in his next outing, currently scheduled for next week in Colorado.

Perez (1-2) took the loss Friday, giving up three runs on eight hits over 5.1 innings as the Pirates fell 3-2 to the Rockies. He struck out four without walking a batter.

The veteran lefty was engaged in a scoreless pitchers' duel with Cal Quantrill through five innings, but Perez ran out of gas in the sixth. He exited after 88 pitches (61 strikes), coming up two outs short of his fourth quality start of the season. Perez will take a 3.15 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 31:13 K:BB through 40 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home next week against the Angels.
