Snell allowed four runs (three earned) on five hits and two walks while striking out seven batters over four innings in a no-decision against Philadelphia on Monday.

Snell went on the paternity list Thursday while awaiting the birth of his child, but he ended up taking his normal turn in the rotation. The left-hander set a season high with seven punchouts but again failed to complete five innings -- through five starts this season, he's topped out at 4.2 frames. Snell also has yet to allow fewer than three earned runs in an outing, and his ERA for the campaign sits at an unsightly 10.42.

Lynn (2-3) allowed three runs (one earned) on five hits and three walks over six innings Monday, striking out five and taking a loss against the Reds.

All three runs against Lynn came in the first two innings but he was able to settle in to deliver a quality start. He's thrown six frames in each of his last two outings after failing to do so in his previous five starts. The veteran righty is 1-3 with a 4.39 ERA over his last five appearances. On the year, Lynn owns a 53:23 K:BB and a 3.45 ERA through 57.1 innings. His next start is expected to be in Philadelphia.

Lodolo (4-2) allowed a run on five hits over 5.1 innings Monday, striking out three and earning a win over St. Louis.

Aside from Paul Goldschmidt's first-inning solo shot, Lodolo kept the Cardinals quiet while cruising to a victory. It was Lodolo's first start since May 11 after a trip to the injured list due to a groin issue. Before that IL stint, he lost two straight starts while coughing up eight total runs through 11 innings. Lodolo now owns a 3.12 ERA with a 46:9 K:BB through seven starts. His next outing is lined up to be on the road against the Cubs.

Parker (4-2) earned the win Monday against Atlanta, allowing three runs on five hits and no walks over 6.1 innings. He struck out six.

With a 100-pitch effort, Parker tossed his second straight quality start and third of the season. The Nationals starter generated a solid 17 whiffs to collect his six strikeouts. The 24-year-old lefty continues an impressive rookie campaign, now owning a 3.45 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 38:8 K:BB in 44.1 innings. Parker is tentatively scheduled to pitch against the Guardians on the road in his next start.

Morton (3-2) took the loss Monday against Washington, allowing eight runs on 12 hits and two walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out seven.

The 40-year-old Morton allowed a career-high 12 hits in this start as the Nationals laced eight singles, three doubles and one homer. However, he also managed to generate an impressive 18 whiffs en route to his seven punchouts. Overall, the Atlanta veteran owns a 4.29 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 59:23 K:BB in 56.2 innings this season. Morton is currently slated to face Oakland at home in his next start.

Steele did not factor into the decision Monday against Milwaukee, allowing three hits and one walk over seven shutout innings. He struck out eight.

Steele posted his best start since returning from a hamstring injury May 6, generating 13 whiffs in 93 total pitches. The Cubs lefty limited a ferocious Brewers offense that entered with the fourth-best team wRC+ at 115, allowing Milwaukee to scatter only four singles. Steele's ERA is now 4.45 over total 32.1 innings with 31:7 K:BB. The 28-year-old is currently slated to face the Reds at home in his next start.

Gasser did not factor into the decision Monday against the Cubs, allowing three hits and no walks over six shutout innings. He struck out seven.

Gasser dominated the Cubs, pounding them with a sound five-pitch mix to collect his second career quality start. The 24-year-old rookie has impressed in 23 innings so far, producing a 1.96 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 13:1 K:BB. Things have been excellent under the hood too, as he owns a 2.52 FIP and 47.3 percent groundball rate. Gasser is tentatively set to make his next scheduled start against the White Sox at home.

Cabrera (shoulder) played catch from 60 feet Monday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Cabrera had to be shut down again after throwing a bullpen session on May 17, but he's been cleared to try to ramp things back up. The right-hander has been on the injured list on two occasions this season with a right shoulder issue and there is currently no timetable for his return.

Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol said Monday that Matz (back) will throw a "light" bullpen session Wednesday, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Matz began playing catch last week following a pair of pain-killing injections in his lower back and he's almost ready to starting throwing off a mound at low intensity. The left-hander still looks to be several weeks away from a potential return from the 15-day injured list.

Stone and the Dodgers won't play Monday against the Mets after the game was postponed due to inclement weather, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

The two teams will now play a doubleheader Tuesday. Stone and Tylor Megill had been slated to take the ball Monday but now will have their starts pushed back a day.
